Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with William E. Adams, pastor of the Eternal Light Church of Borger, and John Hazel, a grandson, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Van Natta had been a resident of Pampa since 1975. He worked for Curtis Well Service as a pumper for eight years. Survivors include his wife, Leah Bell Van Natta; five daughters, Sherry Manyard and Vicky Lynn, both of Borger, Mary Davis of Pampa, Patty Kennedy of Hooker, Okla., and Georgia Garrard of Stinnett; three sons, Chester Van Natta of Tulsa, Okla., Jack Van Natta of Pampa and Ronald Van Natta of Gore, Okla.; two sisters, Dixie Pennington of Bethel, Kan., and Betty Wright of Hillsboro, Ore.; four brothers, Frank Wibright and Roger Wibright, both of New Orleans, Bobby Wibright of Kansas City, Kan., and Larry Van Natta of Portland, Ore; 26 grandchildren; and 48 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mr. Leavitt was born on July 24, 1918, in Randall County to James and Josephine Johnson Leavitt. He was a lifetime resident of Randall County who farmed and ranched all his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a member of University Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include a brother, Melvin "Pete" Leavitt of Happy; and a sister, Mabel Sims of Happy. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Truman Ledbetter, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery by Robertson Funeral Directors Inc. Mrs. Vinson was born Feb. 23, 1922, in Spur, and had been a resident of Clarendon and the surrounding area most of her life. She married Herman Vinson on May 5, 1941, in Memphis. She was employed for many years in the dietary and nursing departments of the Medical Center Nursing Home prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge, the Veterans of Foreign War Ladies Auxiliary and the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 13, 1966; her parents, A.B. Johnson Sr. and Mary Morrison Johnson; an infant daughter; two sisters; and five brothers. Survivors incude two daughters, Barbara Bobbitt and husband, Buddy, of Memphis, Ava Ontiveros and husband, Cecil of Springlake; four sons, Herman Vinson and wife, Jana, of Pampa, Garey Vinson and wife, Georgianna, of Clarendon, Bobby Vinson and wife, Charlene, of Amarillo, and Eddie Vinson of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren. Mr. Smith was born April 15, 1933, in Amarillo to Leslie Edward and Gladys Marie Gill Smith. Bell St. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Christian Center Church of Hobbs, N.M., and a member of the Amarillo Chapter 187 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, and was a life-long caregiver to her family. She was a faithful servant of the Lord. She is preceded in death by two sons, James Patrick McBride in 1998 and Donnie McBride in 1936.
