Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Lynn Garrett of First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Williams was born in Moran on June 7, 1914. When she was a year old, she traveled by covered wagon with her parents, Grace Sullivan Green and James Levi Green to homestead in Villegreen, Colo. She graduated from Kim High School in Kim, Colo. The Villegreen post office was later named for her father. She married Harry Raines Lewis on April 11, 1931, in La Junta, Colo. She ranched and farmed throughout the Kim area until 1945, when she moved to Amarillo. She was a design florist for Freeman Flowers for several years. She also was a designer for Ted Freeman Florist and Ernest Logan Flowers. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Shirley Mae Lewis Parks in 1992; three sisters, Lillian Green, Marjorie Green Munger Miller and Rubye Green Culpepper; and three brothers, Michael, Glen and Leslie Green. Survivors include a daughter, Jerre Lynn Lewis Curtis and husband, Stephen, of Amarillo; her granddaughters, Chancy Lee Curtis West and husband, Stuart Brooks, of Amarillo, Gretchen Grace Parks of Warren, Mich., and Shannan Lynn Curtis O'Brien and husband, John Blake, of Amarillo; a grandson, Charles Robert Parks of Simi Valley, Calif.; five great-granddaughters, Madison Brooks West, Peyton Lee West, Sadie Grace West, Mary Raine O'Brien and Kieran Teel O'Brien. Mr. Ortega was born in Pennsylvania and was raised in California. He moved to Amarillo in 1989 from Chicago. He married Linda Flick in 1970 in San Antonio. He worked for many years as a professional tree trimmer and also volunteered as a boxing coach at the Maverick Boy's Club. He was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church. She was a past member of the Church of Christ of Amarillo. Gaye graduated from Amarillo High in 1952. She built her life around her four daughters and was a devoted mother who will be greatly missed. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Brinkley was born April 13, 1926, in Tuscahoma, Okla., to Frank and Minnie Brinkley. He entered the Army in 1944 and was assigned to Company C as a light tank crewman. He served in the Philippines during World War II and was a part of the Luzon Campaign. He married Eunice Manasco on Feb. 9, 1946, in Vandervoot, Ark. He was a farmer in the Lamesa area for many years. He moved to Amarillo from Muleshoe in 1989. Jim will be dearly missed by his family, but they all rejoice in his "home going." He was preceded in death by his first born, Jimmy Darrell Brinkley, who died at birth. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry D. Brinkley of Amarillo; a daughter, Shirley J. Mr. Young was born March 14, 1913, in Bearden, Okla. He was a Dumas resident since 1949. He was a member of Sixth and Meredith Church of Christ in Dumas. He married Augusta Parker on Oct. 20, 1934, in Holdenville, Okla. He retired from Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America in 1977. He served in the Army in World War II 740th Tank Batallion Battle of the Bulge. He was an avid gardener and was particularly proud of his phlox. He was preceded in death by his wife on Aug. 25, 1990. Survivors include a son, Bill Young and wife, Susan, of Amarillo; a sister, Edith Moore of Wewoka, Okla.; five grandchildren, Jason, Krista, Eric, Lara and Wesley; and five great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Kinikin was born Dec. 19, 1952, in Dumas to John J. and Bernice L. Kinikin. He was in the Army from July 7, 1972, to Nov. 14, 1980. He was with ABA for three years in Honolulu, Hawaii. He represented the Army while stationed at Fort Benning in rifle matches. He worked at IBP from November 1980 until April 1981. He worked for Pantex as a security officer from April 1981 until his death. He represented Pantex in rifle matches. He was also a volunteer peace officer for Panhandle. He believed in family first. He enjoyed scuba diving, softball, bowling, golf, riding his motorcycle and had a passion for guns. He sponsored Kids Inc. soccer V.I.C. (very important children). He was also involed in Shotokan and was a green belt. He was preceded in death by his parents, John J. Kinikin and Jim and Bernice Giles; a daughter, Andrea M. Kinikin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. Survivors include his wife, Frances; two daughters, Stacy Gonzalez and husband, Jose, and Bernice Lopez and husband, Victor, all of Panhandle; a son, Victor A. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Floydada Cemetery in Floydada with the Rev. Anthony Sisemore of First Baptist Church in Floydada officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Wellmaker was born in rural Bethesda, Johnson County, on Nov. 7, 1908, to Joseph Albert Moore and Mandy Laura Gillentine Moore. She married Troy Wellmaker on April 21, 1946. Mrs. Wellmaker was a longtime Floydada resident, before moving to Denton. She was a member of Women of the Oddfellows in Floydada and held various offices in that organization, including Noble Grand. She was the last of eight brothers and sisters. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Floydada. She was preceded in death by her husband in May 1971. Survivors include two nieces and a nephew.
