They were married on Sept. 8, 1951, in St. Francis. She moved with Art around the country living first in Florida, the Michigan, Texas, Montana and California, moving back to a home on Flathead Lake in Montana, where she lived until her death. They raised a family of eight children. Betty loved her life as a busy mom, easily juggling all the aspects of caring for and teaching a large family of six girls and two boys. She joyously celebrated 50 years of marriage with Art in 2001.
