Celebration of life services will be at 2 p.m. today in First United Methodist Church with Dr. David Jones and the Rev. Wendell Horn officiating. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Marble, adoring husband, father, grandfather and friend to all, departed this life on Wednesday. He was born in Floyd County on Aug. 4, 1934, to the late Horace and Lillian King Marble. He attended school through the eighth grade in South Plains and graduated from Floydada High School in 1952. On March 20, 1955, Fred married the love of his life, Carolyn Tye in the home of her parents. To their union three children, Mike, Kelly and Cindy were born. Fred served in the Army from Jan. 12, 1956, to Oct. 11, 1957. After that he returned home and resumed his lifelong love of farming. Fred served on the school board for South Plains ISD and was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Floydada. At the time of his death, he was serving on the administrative board for the church. Fred was also a member of Living Water Emmaus Community. Besides his life and devotion to farming, Fred was also a licensed pilot and actively pursued this interest. Fred's life was always centered around his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him and loved him, especially his coffee drinking buddies. "Two smiling eyes are sleeping, hardworking hands were put to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best." He was preceded in death by a son, Mike, in 1984 and his parents. Survivors include his wife; a son, Kelly Marble of Lubbock; a daughter, Cindy Bertrand and husband, Jeff, of Floydada; four precious grandchildren, Justin Marble, Micah Marble, Elizabeth Bertrand and Hallie Bertrand; two brothers, Don Marble of South Plains and Keith Marble of Floydada; a sister, June Wells of Denton; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Mr. Mixon was born April 28, 1909, in Erick, Okla. He was a Dumas resident for 65 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Dumas. He married Floy Wooten on Aug. 2, 1930, in Beckham County, Okla. He worked for the safety department at Shamrock Oil and Gas. He was preceded in death by his wife; an infant son, Terry Bruce Mixon; and an eldest son, Charles Arthur Mixon. Mrs. Coonfield married Ernie Coonfield and moved to Lipscomb County in 1959. Her lifetime was fulfilled raising her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Mrs. Baisden was born March 4, 1915, to Albert and Sarah Hollingsworth in Coryell County. She spent 10 years of her life there before moving to Turkey, where she lived until 1997. She was very involved in the Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school, was church historian and president of Methodist Women. Mrs. Baisden was also very involved in the community. She was the owner and editor of the Turkey News. She taught preschool in the house that later became herand her husband's residence. She was also the local librarian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Baisden, and a son, Robert Baisden. Survivors include a son, Jim Baisden of Grapevine; a daughter, Marsene Patterson of Ogden; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Bell St. Mrs. Boon was born March 21, 1940, in Memphis to Clarence Revell Sr. and Pauline Nix. She married Gene Boon on July 5, 1962, in Amarillo. She was employed as a hairdresser for Cut and Curl and Dale Johns. Nancy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veteran's of Foreign Wars and was co-chairman for National Home for Children. She was also a member of Lifeway Baptist Fellowship Church, where she had a membership in the ladies group. Nancy was a prayer warrior through faith, prayers and her concerns for other people. She witnessed and changed many lives by planting seeds of faith in others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Boon, on Sept. 13, 1996. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Llano Park Cemetery in Amarillo with Randy Srader, pastor of Southwest Baptist Church in Amarillo. Arrangements are by Vaughan Funeral Home. Mrs. Coffee was born July 10, 1912, in Pagosa Springs, Colo. She was raised by her grandparents, Luke and Wilhelmina Rock. She married Oran Coffee on Aug. 8, 1931, and moved to Amarillo. Frances lived most of her life in Amarillo, where she was active in square dancing, PTA and San Jacinto Methodist Church. She was a Girl Scout leader and Girl Scout Neighborhood Chairman for many years. After her husband Oran passed away, she played the piano and worked the snack bar at the Amarillo Senior Citizens Center. She stayed feisty to the very end. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Oran, a World War I veteran. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, brother, husband and one grandchild. Survivors include four daughters, Ollie Ruth Coffee Kennedy and Ilah Coffee Merriman, both of Dallas, Mina Coffee Barringer of Kootenai, Idaho, and Kathy Coffee Simmons and husband, Jimmy, of Boerne; nine grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
