Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Gary Burd, of Christian Heritage Church, officiating. Arrangments are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Pearson was born in Richmond, Mo. She had lived in Amarillo for more than 70 years. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1931. She married Omer Pearson in 1939 in Harrison, Neb. She was a homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Tom Pearson and wife, Jerry, of Floydada and Bo Pearson and wife, Debbie, of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and 10 great- grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Ms. Wright was born Nov. 8, 1935, in Lawrence, Mass. At age 4, she moved to San Antonio, where she was raised by her grandmother, Alta Christensen. She moved to Amarillo in 1966. In Amarillo, she worked at Western Plateau Elementary School, Bell Helicopter and finally the Clements Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Known as a gentle and considerate person, she kept many friends. She lovingly raised four children and helped generously with her grandchildren. She was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Benjamin Wright of Dallas, Kathleen Pinkston of Amarillo, Mitchel Wright of The Woodlands and Lori Dee Ash of Bellville; and 12 grandchildren. Mrs. Gilmore was born in Haskell, Okla. She married James W. Gilmore on Dec. 31, 1946, in San Diego. Mrs. Gilmore was a property manager for Huntington Properties. She retired in 1990. She was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Robinson; a brother, Herbert L. Cardwell; and two sons, Johnny Mac Anderson and William "Butch" Easter. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Polk Street United Methodist Church with Dr. James E. Garrett, senior pastor, the Rev. Marty Hamrick, associate pastor, and Dr. Jordan Grooms, former senior pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Blackburn was born Nov. 15, 1918, in Austin, to Ada Pearle and C.A. Murray. She was a longtime resident of Amarillo and Canyon. Mrs. Blackburn attended Southern Methodist University, but received her BA and MA degrees from West Texas State University. She returned to school at age 50 and graduated from Northwest Texas School of Nursing. In 1969, she served as charge nurse in the coronary care unit of Northwest Texas Hospital and as an instructor of psychiatric/mental health counseling. In 1979, she received her second master's degree in counseling. Mrs. Blackburn was a former member of Junior League of Amarillo, a Parenting Service Board member and officer, founding member of Women's Forum and the first president who initiated many projects for Amarillo Women's Network. She was an Amarillo College Women's Program director and a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. She married Calvin Henry Blackburn on Feb. 15, 1939. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a grandson, Will Whitehead. Survivors include three daughters, Virginia Lynn White of Amarillo, Susan Joanna Blackburn of Omaha, Neb., and Emily Diane Burns and husband, Bob, of Dallas; her grandchildren, Gene Edmiston, Elise Eustace, Sloan Eustace, Britney Whitehead, Elizabeth White and Frank Henry White; her great- grandchildren, Dillan and Hannah Edmiston; and many dear friends and colleagues. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Gerlach was born Nov. 1, 1909, in Memphis to Conrad and Nellie George Gerlach. She graduated from Memphis High School and attended West Texas State College. She married James William Dillard on Aug. 22, 1932, in Hollis, Okla. They lived in Borger for 35 years and in Canyon for 20 years. She taught journalism and Spanish for many years in Borger, where she was the first woman to serve on a jury in Hutchinson County. She was then active in volunteer work in Red Cross and Senior Citizens in Canyon. She wrote The Village Voice newsletter at Palo Duro Village where she lived from 1996 to 2000. She was a talented seamstress and did beautiful knitting. She was also active in Methodist churches in Borger and Canyon. She traveled and studied in Mexico as well as many other places. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996. Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Dillard Howell of Clovis, N.M., and Carolyn Dillard McCombs of Concord, Calif.; five grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; two nieces; and three nephews. Mrs. Dorris was born May 19, 1910, in Iowa Park, to Benton and Edith Fields. She and her husband, Frank, moved to the Panhandle from Iowa Park in the late 1930s and began farming. She continued farming after her husband's death in 1947 and had one of the first Angus herds in the Texas Panhandle. She enjoyed her outdoor life and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and two brothers, Bruce and Gene Fields. Mr. Jacks was born April 28, 1931, in County Line, Okla. to James and Fannie Jacks. He was a veteran, having served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. He loved to fish and was a retired park ranger with the Department of Forestry Service in Arizona. He was a member of Fellowship of Believers Church, Hereford Veteran of Foreign Wars post and Hereford Lions Club. He was a previous owner of Gulf Wholesale in Hereford and had worked for Suits Auto in Hereford for more than 10 years. He was preceded in death by a brother.
