Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Mark Zimmerman officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Glenn was born in San Angelo. He moved to Amarillo when he was 12 years old. He attended Tascosa High School but graduated from Bronte High School. He returned to Amarillo after graduation in 1968. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Pam Saunders of San Angelo and Molly Lee of Brownwood; a son, Colt Glenn of Pueblo, Colo.; his mother, Bobbie Glenn of Amarillo; his father and stepmother, James Vernon and Bess Glenn of Amarillo; a sister, Elaine Alford of Canyon; a stepsister, Linda Leake of Amarillo; two stepbrothers, Terry McEntyre of San Angelo and Mike McEntyre of Amarillo; and six grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 12, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Perry "Bob" Burrows Perry "Bob" Burrows, 83, of Amarillo died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Ave. and Pierce St., with the Rev. Larry Stone, of Pullman Road Baptist Church, and the Rev. Mike Garman, of Bushland First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Burrows was born June 15, 1920, to George Burrows and Sadie Miller Burrows in Greeley, Colo. He married Ina Ray Francis on May 18, 1940, in Texola, Okla. He was employed by Haliburton in Pampa for a number of years. He owned Pampa Parts & Supply before moving to Amarillo in 1980. He recently retired as a gate guard from Lake Tanglewood with 21 years of service. He served in World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife of 63 years; a daughter, Denny Sharber and husband, Tommy, of Amarillo; a son, Bobby Ray Burrows and wife, Charlotte, of Watauga; six grandchildren, Bobby Don Burrows and Matthew Burrows, both of Watauga, Chauncy and Lori Hanke and Shauna and Cody Moore, all of Amarillo; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Gerald Holden, Methodist minister, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Holden was born in Vernon. She had been a technician for North American Aviation at Autonetics in Anaheim, Calif. and later worked for J.C. Penney's in Joplin, Mo. She was a Quaker. She married Richard Holden on Feb. 19, 1970, in Orange, Calif. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Hollingsworth; two brothers, Joe Caroll Baker and Jackie Bob Baker; and a grandchild, Leslie Lynn Adams. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cathy Adams of Vernon and Laura Henry of Greeley, Colo.; three brothers, William B. Baker of Santa Fe, N.M., Donald Ray Baker of Murrieta, Calif. and Robert Dean Baker of Amarillo; five sisters, Frances Walker of Vernon, Imogene Collins of Fort Worth, Betty Jean Anderson of Miami, Carolyn Ann Homer of Amarillo and Judy Kay Cates of Arlington; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Walker married Freeda Hitt in Portales. He owned and operated A-1 Appliance Repair. Survivors include his wife; a son, Ronald Walker of Roswell; a daughter, LaVeta O'Donnell of Amarillo, Texas; two brothers, Troy Walker of Amarillo and Earl Walker of Portales; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bennett married William R. Bennett in 1956 in Clovis. During World War II, she ran the printing press in the Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C. Survivors include four nieces, Judy Gambill, Terry Bodine and Nicole Gurnsey, all of Clovis, and Michelle N. Streeter of Alta Vista, Calif. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Mauldin was born April 19, 1936, to Hurbert and Geneve Mauldin. He was a lifetime resident of Dumas. He married Frances Kay Palmateer on July 26, 1991, in Amarillo. He had worked as a truck driver for Dekalb Industries and he retired after 35 years. He was always accompanied by his faithful companion, his dog "Little Bit." Survivors include his wife; four sons, Joe Dale Mauldin and wife, Racheal of Dumas, James Ray Mauldin of Missouri, Robert Dewayne Mauldin and his wife, Maria, of Virginia and Frank Eugene Horn and his wife, Julie, of Salt Lake City, Utah; two daughters, Stephany Gervasi of Amarillo and Shannon Friese and her husband, Brian, of Dumas; a sister, Janelle Luetkan and her husband, Harold, of Lone Grove, Okla.; and 14 grandchildren. Mrs. Atkinson was a lifetime Childress community resident. She was a member of Fairview Church of Christ. "Boots" Braden on Jan. 31, 1946, in Sulphur, Okla. She loved her children and grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Janet Glass of McLean and Margaret Ann Painter of Amarillo; a sister, Billie Jane Sullivan of Shawnee, Okla.; and four grandchildren. Survivors include two sons, Ramon Ortega of Plainview and Jesus Jose Ortega of Midland; two daughters, Carolina Ortega and Socorro Ortega, both of San Fernando, Calif.; five siblings, Hermanos Ortega of San Jose, Calif., and Ipolito Ortega, Lidia Ortega, Magdalena Ortega and Elijio Ortega, all of Mexico; 19 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
