Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Daniel Chavez, deacon of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis, N.M., officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Marez was born in Tucumcari, N.M. He moved to Amarillo in 1950 from Clovis. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked for Potter County as a custodian for many years. He retired in 1982. He married Mary Sandoval in 1940 in Clovis. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife; five daughters, Frances Chavez of Clovis and Helen Marez, Rita Cuellar, Linda Lopez and Betty Olivarez, all of Amarillo; two sons, Daniel Marez and Jerry Marez, both of Amarillo; 32 grandchildren; and 64 great- grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Sivley lived in Amarillo in the late 1960s. She moved to Oklahoma City in the 1970s where she worked as a stenographer for more than 15 years. She was a member of Baptist Temple Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Sivley, in 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Claudia Stapleton and husband, Mark, of Amarillo; a son, Joe Adrian Sivley of Okahoma City; three brothers, Winfield Johnson of California, Robert Carl Johnson of Richardson and Phillip Johnson of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Bonita Mackey of Wellston, Okla., Becky Megehee of Mustang, Okla. and Peggy Porter of Kansas; three grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Byers was born Lisa Jane Coldren on Nov. 2, 1956, in Ann Arbor, Mich. She graduated from Huron High School in Ann Arbor and California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, where she worked at The Grand Piano restaurant. She moved to Amarillo in 1982 and was co-founder of OHMS restaurant in 1988. She was known for her loving enthusiasm as a mother, an artist, a chef, a storyteller and herbalist and gardener. She was a great humanitarian and a free spirit. Survivors include her parents, Phillip and Midge Coldren; four sisters, Julia Tosswill, Rebecca Lanktson, Sarah Wright and Elizabeth Coldren; four children, Mozelle Mae Byers, Henry Dillon Byers, Frank Zane Byers and Malcolm John Byers; and many loving adoring friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Bell was born in Bennington, Okla. and was a longtime resident of Amarillo. She worked as a cook with the Amarillo school district, as well as Bivins Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Bell, in 1982; and six brothers. Survivors include two sons, John Lamberson of Amarillo and Richard Lamberson of Royce City; two sisters, Pauline Dodson of Abilene and Eula Faye May of Hobbs, N.M.; a brother, J.L. Lamberson of Hobbs; five grandchildren, Renee Lamberson, Lisa Lamberson, Stacy Armandariz, Jacob Lamberson and Joshua Maupin; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at 4114 Bowie St. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 19, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Philip Junior Roush Philip Junior Roush, 82, of Amarillo died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004. The family will have a private memorial service. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum North by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Roush was born in Forest Lake, Minn. and was raised in North Branch, Minn. where he graduated from high school in 1939. He served in the Navy as a chief petty officer during World War II and re- enlisted in the Air Force after the war. His military service took him to many parts of the United States and the world, including Hawaii, Japan, Greece, Turkey, France, Belgium, Germany and Morocco before retiring from active duty as a master sergeant in Amarillo in 1960. He worked for the U.S. Post Office as a clerk until his retirement in 1978. He married Clara B. Woods in 1941 at Pensacola, Fla. Words cannot express what an outstanding husband and father he was and how much he will be missed. He loved the Lord, was a lifelong Lutheran and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. He loved to play golf and spent many years enjoying the links at Ross Rogers and Comanche Trails. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1999. Survivors include two sons, Dale Roush and Dean Roush and wife, Marsue; grandson Gregory Roush and wife, Adina; granddaughter, Kimberly Wills and husband, Jason; and four great-grandchildren, Logan, Lexie, Luke and Keegan. He owned and operated Bill Vaughan Motors and Bill Vaughan Import Car Center. He retired in 1978. He married Wanda Cook on 1951 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Billie K. Stoddard in 1991. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Debbie Peatrowski and Shirley Bryan, both of Amarillo and Lucinda Manning of Henderson; a son, Pete Vaughan of Amarillo; a brother, Robert Vaughan of Santa Fe, N.M.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was a heavy equipment operator in road construction. He served in the Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia Mae Roberts; a brother, Roy Roberts; and two sisters, Opal Tedder and Viola Stewart. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Bowsher of Amarillo and Janice Whorley of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He attended Eastern New Mexico University and University of New Mexico. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He married Bettye Cantrell on April 19, 1950, in Silverton. He was a carpenter, woodworker and owned WACO Woodworks until 1994. He was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ron James and wife, Debra, of Bushland and Gary James of Seattle; and two grandchildren, Paige James and Ben James, both of Bushland.
