Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Stratford with the Rev. Brent Farney, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Brown was born Oct. 23, 1920, in Dallam County to Joe and Timmie Brown. He was a lifelong resident of Stratford and graduated from Stratford High School in 1938, where he was an accomplished basketball and football player. He married Betty, his wife of 63 years, on Oct. 19, 1941. He served in the Army Air Corps as a radio operator in the Pacific Theater on the island of Iwo Jima. He owned and operated Brown's Meat Locker from 1955 until his death. His business served an extensive trade area and he had many cherished employees. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Stratford, a member of the Timothy Sunday School class and was a Sunday school teacher. He was a member of Stratford Lion's Club, American Legion, Sherman County Older Texans, American Association of Meat Processors, Texas Cattle Feeders Association and was a "Beef Coach" for West Texas State University and Texas Tech Red Raider Club. He was very proud to have served as president of the American Association of Meat Processors in 1984. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marijo Haile; and a great- granddaughter, Claire Austin. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joe R. Brown and wife, Rose, of El Paso and Jim Bob Brown and wife, Patty, of Stratford; his grandchildren, Blair Brown of Panhandle, Carrie Austin of Dallas, Ashley Brown and Caleb Brown of Stratford and Joe S. Brown of El Paso; his great-grandchildren, Caroline Austin, Carson Baskin Brown, and Analee Austin; two nieces; two nephews; and several loving cousins. Pallbearers will be Jack Haile, Steve Baskin, Gary Hudson, Jack Gore, Doug McBryde, Mike Boyd, Lynn Allen and Terry Duffy. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Reed, Bill Pendleton, T.F. Baskin, Jack Dettle, Alfred Pronger, Rex Williams, Rex Christian, Greg Sherwood, Jerry Behrens, Vernon Powers, Robert McGinnis, George Allen, David Romero, Henry Ohara and Humberto "Tito" Silva. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael- Whatley Funeral Directors with Masonic graveside rites by Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966 AF&AM. Mr. Washington was an Army Air Corps veteran. He married Margaret Eckerd on May 24, 1946. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Tilger of Desoto and Ann Dalton of Bartlesville, Okla.; a brother, Bill Washington of Pampa; two sisters, Donna Sims and Clara Imel, both of Pampa; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery by DMD Care. Mr. Stapp served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He lived in Amarillo most of his life until the end of 1999. Survivors include his wife, Arleta; two sons, Timothy Stapp and Mark Stapp, both of Waco; three daughters, Joann Crowley of Euless and Pansy Sanchez and Kathy DeLaCruz, both of Amarillo; a brother, Narville Stapp of Salem, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas Tech University. He taught briefly at Texas Christian University before teaching 35 years as a professor at the University of Florida. He was a veteran of the Army during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include a nephew, Tom Oliver of Amarillo; and a friend, Dr. J. Selwyn Hollingsworth of Northport. Mrs. Langford was born Oct. 26, 1939, in Borger. She worked as a Realtor. She devoted her life for more than 30 years to teaching kids the gospel of Jesus. She was a member of The Rock Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Lance Langford; and two brothers, Gary and Joe. Survivors include her mother, Ruth Widener of Borger; two sons, Mark Langford of Amarillo and Brad Langford of Abbott; three daughters, Loree Robinson of Oklahoma City, Alicia Masi of Albuquerque, N.M. and Kim Hardung of Santa Fe, N.M.; a brother, Truman Widener of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Lila Richards of Dallas, Diane Scroggins of Borger, Celia Connelly of Amarillo and Shari Jones of Saint Louis, Mo.; and 15 grandchildren. Georgia St. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Monsignor Rex Nicholl and the Rev. Susan Arnold Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery. Mr. Castillo was born in El Paso and moved to Amarillo in 1917. There he married the former Petra Diaz. Soon after, he enlisted in the Army and served as a cook during World War II. After being honorably discharged, he pursued a career in cosmetology. He then took an interest in culinary arts and became a chef for various country clubs in Amarillo. He was an active member of Our Lady of Guadulupe Catholic Church. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by three sons, Santiago Castillo, Jimmy Castillo and Richard Castillo. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Gloria Hernandez of Conroe, Dolores Garcia of Amarillo and Connie Leija of Dallas; four sons, Joe Castillo, Rudy Castillo, David Castillo and Robert Castillo, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Juanita Fajardo and Virginia Leos, both of Amarilllo; 47 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. Georgia St. Our precious treasure from heaven has gone back home. His favorite scripture was Matthew 17:15-20. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dustin Wilson; his grandmother, Kaye Carlile, on Jan. 25, 2000; and his grandfather, Ezekiel Owen in 2001. Survivors include his parents, Ken and Karin Carlile of Amarillo; a sister, Gabrielle Maria-Kate Carlile of Amarillo; his grandparents, Jimmy C.
