No services are planned. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Doffer was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Perryton. She worked as an administrative clerk for ASCS. Survivors include her husband, Bob; a daughter, Tizzy Nelson of Amarillo; two sisters, Sue Wilkerson of Tyler and Kay Wiley of Champaign, Ill.; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Frederick, Okla. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Cemetery in Frederick by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mrs. Johnson was born May 31, 1909, to P.A. and Lois Johnson. She married Charles L. Clapp in their hometown of Frederick in 1928. Their family of four moved to Borger in 1940, where Mrs. Clapp was a devoted mother and homemaker. Mr. and Mrs. Clapp especially enjoyed watching their two sons participate in Borger High School athletics and West Texas State University football games. After 52 years of marriage, Mr. Clapp preceded her in death, and Mrs. Clapp continued to make Borger her home until the last several years. Her sons, Kenneth and Mark, would like to thank the caretakers of Hudson House and Palo Duro Nursing Center for their devotion to their mother. She was preceded in death by her husband; seven brothers and sisters, Golia Johnson, Travis Johnson, Olin Johnson, Pelham Johnson, Thomas Johnson, Joann Reynolds and Lillie Hester; and a great-great-grandson, Gabriel Maxwell. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Clapp and wife, Hallie, of Amarillo and Mark Clapp and wife, Carolyn, of Kingwood; two sisters, Ruth Stewart and Hazel Thomason; a brother, James Johnson; five grandchildren, Steven Clapp and wife, Denise, Stacy Junell and husband, Lonnie, Michael Clapp and wife, Laura, Marcy Barkemeyer and husband, Greg, and Mark D. Mrs. Brown was born March 7, 1913, in Upshur County. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1930. She married Joe F. Brown on Feb. 1, 1930, in Gilmer. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Rebekah Lodge. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 12, 1989; and a daughter, June Butler, on Aug. 26, 2002. Survivors include a daughter, Jane Langford of Pampa; two sons, Jim F. Brown of Borger and Terry Brown of Pampa; a sister, Rhonda Hendrix of Pampa; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at 1926 N. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Church of the Nazarene in Dalhart with John Miller, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Mrs. Owens was born in Pittsburg, Kan., on June 3, 1913, to the Rev. John H. and Anne (Nunn) Owens. They lived in various towns and states before she graduated from Sapulpa, Okla., High School. She met Raman Chandler in Tucumcari, N.M., and they were married there on Aug. 4, 1940. They farmed in the Clovis, N.M., area before moving to Dalhart in 1943. An active member for more than 40 years in the Church of the Nazarene, Wilma taught Sunday school and served as missionary society president. She had also served as a 55-Plus club director. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers; and five sisters. Survivors include two sons, Raman Jr. of Colleyville and James "Jim" Chandler of Dalhart; two daughters, Doris Thompson of Arvada, Colo., and Kathryn "Kay" Peck of Las Vegas, N.M.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Watkins, 78, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, in Amarillo. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Stephen Lowrie, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home. Mr. Watkins was born Aug. 23, 1925, in Fairview, Okla., to James S. and Lola (Schriner) Watkins. Arty began school in Fairview and moved with his family to Clovis, N.M., in 1937. He graduated from Clovis High School in 1943. In 1944, he enlisted in the Naval Air Corps. He was attending preflight school at the University of Iowa when World War II ended and he received his honorable discharge. Arty completed his education at New Mexico State University. Sweethearts since the age of 14, he married the love of his life, Jean Schaefer on Oct. 28, 1945, in Clovis. In December 1946 they moved to Dalhart and he and his father founded Watkins Packing Plant. After selling the business, he devoted his time to ranching and livestock feeding. Arty was an active member of the Dalhart community. Among his civic duties, he served on the Dalhart Independent School District Board, the board of directors of Citizens State Bank, past president of Dalhart Senior Citizens Center and was a driving force behind the Senior Citizen Endowment Fund. He was president at Nortex Feedlot and a member of First Baptist Church. Arty's volunteerism included being past director and president of XIT Board of Directors and past president and member of the board of directors at Dalhart Country Club. Arty was a pilot, and an avid golfer and fisherman. He was admired and loved by all of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include his wife; a son, Jerry Watkins and wife, Luan, of Gurnee, Ill.; a daughter, Marty Kinard and husband, Larry, of Waco; a brother, L.D. "Bud" Watkins of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Nona Swearingen of Sparks, Nev.; three grandchildren, Matt and wife, Sarah, of Dallas, Erin Kinard of Austin and Kelly Bonjonia and husband, Bill, of Waco; and a great-grandson, Berkley Bonjonia of Waco. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church in Earth. Burial will be in Earth Memorial Cemetery by Parson-Ellis Funeral Home of Earth. Local arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Taylor was born in Hollis, Okla., to Carl and Roberta Taylor. He graduated from Springlake-Earth High School and then attended West Texas State University. Mr. Taylor had worked with the Erwin family of Amarillo for more than 34 years. He was a loving and devoted son, father, brother and grandfather. Survivors include a son, Todd Taylor of Dallas; a stepdaughter, Shelly Taylor of Amarillo; a stepson, Tim Rea of Nokesville, Va.; a brother, Robert Taylor of Earth; his mother, Roberta Taylor of Earth; a granddaughter, Danielle Taylor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Amarillo. The body will be available for viewing from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church in Earth. Georgia St. Mrs. Hromas was born in Big Spring. She attended public schools in Stanton before moving to Clovis, where she graduated from high school. She married Glenn Hromas in Clovis on June 8, 1952. They made their home in Bovina before moving to Amarillo in 1978. She retired from bookkeeping in 1995. She was a member of South Georgia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in January 2003. Survivors include three sons, Greg, Rodney and Jeff; a sister, Lou Ann Cortese of Fort Sumner, N.M.; a brother, J.K. Barfield III of Texico, N.M.; three grandsons, Alan, Ryan and Kyle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Troy Richardson of the church and Richard Dickerson of Bykota Baptist Church officiating. He married Margaret Williams on April 6, 1946. Mr. McCuiston was a retired chef. He was recognized for 10 years of service at Temple Baptist Church and was a crossing guard at South Georgia Elementary School. He was preceded in death by his wife on July 1, 1997. She was the first female deputy sheriff to work for Potter County, where she worked as a crossing guard at River Road School for years. She also did typing at home for Boys Ranch. She was a member of Queen of the Plains Rebekah Lodge and would have received her 50-year pin in April. Mrs. York was a member of Second Baptist Church. She married Raymond "Hub" York on March 3, 1937, in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 20, 1992; a daughter, Cindy York in 1972; a son, Raymond York in 1988; and four grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Allison and husband, Bud, June Grant and husband, Tom, and Nila York and husband, Dale Campbell, all of Amarillo; three sons, Terry York and wife, Karen, and Perry York and wife, Becky, all of Amarillo, and Bruce York and wife, Darlene, of San Antonio; a daughter-in-law, Lucy Parsley of Midland; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He served in the Army and was an instrument technician at Phillips Petroleum Plant in Cactus for 35 years. He married Lola Lumpkins on Sept. 26, 1997, in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Pauline; his parents; and a brother, T.C. Stevens.
