Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Boxwell Brothers Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Michael A. Hunnington officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. King was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Canyon to Noel and Molly Beckett. She married M.T. King on June 16, 1947, in Clarendon. In 1956, she became a resident of Moore County, where she made her home, raised her family and worked as an accountant. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jamie Skalsky. Survivors include her husband; her mother-in-law, Theresa Herrin of Sunray; four daughters, Jody Evans and husband, Jack, of Middlewater, Marni Rachels and husband, Robert, of Amarillo, Mashari Scott and husband, Jack, of Dalhart and Lori Dick and husband, Deland, of Sunray; two sons, Pete King and wife, Bonnie, of Burneyville, Okla., and Kurt King and wife, Candy, of Sunray; a sister-in- law, Gwen King of Avenger; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family will be at their Crown Ranch home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Happy's Memorial Chapel. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Holy Name Catholic Church with Monsignor Harold Waldo, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Mrs. Frost was born May 14, 1954, in Tulia to Loyd and Genevieve Beckman Nobile. She married Zeke Frost in San Jon, N.M., on March 21, 1974, and upon their marriage she gained a daughter, Dawn. They lived west of Happy on the family farm, where she was involved with the farming and ranching operation with her husband. She received her bachelor of science degree and was a retired registered nurse. She served as organizational leader to the Happy 4-H Club for two years. Joan was a member of Happy FCE Club for 29 years, where she had served in local and state offices. Joan was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, served as pastoral council president, and held several offices in the Hereford Deanery. She was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society and served as past president and vice president. She also served as vice president for Happy Days Association. She was a member of Women's Study Club of Happy and the ladies auxiliary of the Happy Volunteer Fire Department. She served as past secretary of Panhandle Delta Zeta Sorority and was a Meals on Wheels volunter. She was named Swisher County Woman of the Year in 1996. She was active in anything involving the youth of Happy and was instrumental in helping to facilitate the new community center in Happy. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Dawn Gibson and husband, Claud, of Corsicana; two grandsons, Gavin Gibson and C.L. Gibson, both of Corsicana; her mother of Amarillo; three brothers, Raymond Nobile, Jimmy Nobile and David Nobile, all of Amarillo; three sisters, Sue Hilderbrand of Georgetown, Karen Daniel of Aiken, S.C., and Carol Crawford of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Morris taught in the Miami Independent School District as a music teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of White Deer. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Friona Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Mohr of Lubbock officiating. Arrangements are by Blackwell Funeral Home. Mrs. Flippin was born Sept. 6, 1903, in Rockwood, Ill., to John Walter and Florence (Sympson) White. She moved to the Friona area in 1914 from Chester, Ill. She was a 1919 graduate of Friona High School. Her father established the Friona Star in 1925. She married W.H. "Bill" Flippin Jr. on Aug. 31, 1940, in Friona. She retired from the Post Office in Friona in 1973 after 35 years of service. She was a member of Union Congregational Church in Friona and was a member of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 24, 1967. Survivors include a nephew, John Fred White and wife, Linda, of Friona; a great- nephew, Noel White and wife, Shirley, of Friona; two great-nieces, Holly Schueler and husband, Gene, of Friona and Carol White of Clute; a first cousin, Wanda Hart of Friona; a great-great-niece; and three great-great-nephews. Shelton, 91, of Amarillo died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in Craig Methodist Retirement Center Chapel with Thomas McClendon, elder at Temple of Praise Community Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Shelton was born Nov. 1, 1912, in Texarkana, Ark. He moved with his family to Fort Worth, where he attended elementary and junior high school. Later, his family moved to Amarillo where he graduated from Amarillo High School in 1930. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in school administration from West Texas State Teachers College in Canyon. He served five years in the Army Medical Corps during World War II and achieved the rank of first lieutenant. He spent two years in the surgeon general's office in Washington, D.C., and was a hospital administrator at Dibble General Hospital in Menlo Park, Calif., when the war ended. He taught elementary school in Colorado for many years. During summer vacations and subsequently for a short time after retirement, he served as a park ranger for the National Parks Service in Rocky Mountain National Park. He was a Methodist. Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Jones of Farmington, N.M., and Karen Freyer of Amarillo; a stepson, Douglas Jenner of Bailey, Colo.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Second Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Jones officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Easterday was born July 29, 1926, in Amarillo. She attended Amarillo High School. She married Wayne Jack Easterday on Dec. 12, 1946, in Amarillo. She was a volunteer at St. Anthony's Hospital and an active member of Second Baptist Church, where she was a member of Good News Bearers. She was a very loving mother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1989. Survivors include three daughters, Connie Easterday Morris and husband, Joel, of Arlington, and Pam Jones and Jeannine Wilson, both of Amarillo; two brothers, Joe E. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Tascosa Road Fellowship with Jay Roberson, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Those close to Bill remember him as a loving father, son, brother and friend. Bill was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He had a great sense of humor and always had a great time in any situation. His philosophy in life was to "live life to the fullest." He had a strong passion for his family. Nieces and nephews always looked forward to Uncle Bill's holiday visits with great anticipation. Bill worked at Fabricating Specialties Inc. as the senior vice president of business development. His former occupation was an underwater welder, diving in the Gulf of Mexico. He was born June 9, 1958, in Boulder, Colo. He grew up in Amarillo. Bill attended Tascosa High School and graduated from New Mexico Military Institute. He attended the University of Texas for two years and served for a short time in the Marine Corps. Survivors include a son, William Mason Alexander III; his mother, Adele Sherrill Alexander; his father, William Mason Alexander and wife, Carol; a sister, Mark Anne Alexander Millburn and husband, Jay; three brothers, James Sherrill Alexander and wife, Jennifer, Charles Bennett Alexander and wife, Cathy, and John Lockhart Alexander and wife, Kari; and 10 nieces and nephews. Price, 82, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Arlington Memory Gardens. Mrs. Price was born Feb. 4, 1921, to George and Gracie (Sarratt) Crossland in Gouldbusk, Texas. She was a member of Wickline United Methodist Church and was a resident of Midwest City for more than 40 years. Lois retired from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission and enjoyed bowling, genealogy, reading and her grandchildren. On June 29, 1949, she married Robert K. Price in Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister; and two brothers. Survivors include a son, Robert Price Jr. and wife, Patty, of Broken Arrow; a daughter, Cindy Scott and husband, Bill, of Plano, Texas; four grandchildren, Ryan, Billy, Bob and Carly; and many other nieces, nephews and other family members.
