Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in First Christian Church with Mitch Elliot, grandson, and Larry Elliot and Rocky Farrar, both sons-in-law, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery by Stickley-Hill Funeral Directors. Mr. Cleveland was born June 16, 1912, in Yoakum County to George and Julia Fields Cleveland. He was raised in Yoakum County and graduated from Lubbock High School at the age of 15. Wayne worked in the cattle business on the South Plains for several years. He married Ruth Elliott on Aug. 10, 1935. Wayne, Ruth and Joyce moved to Canadian in April 1940 to start a ranching business in Lipscomb and Hemphill counties. Wayne served on the First National Bank Board for 50 years as of January 2004, and served as board chairman for 32 years. He was a Mason and a member of the Methodist Church. Wayne will be remembered as an accomplished businessman, a cattle rancher and a family man. Survivors include a son, David Cleveland of Lampasas; four daughters, Joyce Craft, Jean Jones and Mary Elliott, all of Lubbock, and Polly Farrar of Canadian; a special friend, Elise "George" Krehbiel; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Sudan Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe. Mrs. Dudgeon was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Slaton. She married Noble Dudgeon on Feb. 8, 1959. Mr. Samarron was a member of Bright and Morning Star Baptist Church in Earth. She had lived in Earth since 1952 and was a homemaker. Morgan SUNRAY - Royse W. Morgan, 80, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, in Dumas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Sunray Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Hilton, pastor, and the Rev. Mike Martin, pastor of First Baptist Church of Morse, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Morgan was born Nov. 14, 1923, in Willow, Okla., to Clyde and Myrtle Morgan. He retired in 1985 from Phillips Petroleum Co. after 33 years. He met Wanda Barnard in Olton and they were married on Aug. 15, 1942, in Sayre, Okla. They came to Sunray on Aug. 16, 1942, where they have made their home for 61 years. He moved his church membership to Sunray Baptist Church in October 1942 from Springcreek Baptist Church in Willow, Okla. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; a sister; and two grandchildren, Zackary Cox and Heather Cox. Burial will be in Kelton Cemetery by Bailey-Ware Funeral Home of McLean. Mr. Lister farmed and ranched for more than 60 years. He served in the Army during World War II, fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. He was the administrator for Sanford Hospital and Ochiltree General Hospital for 21 years. He was vice president of business at Frank Phillips College for 11 years. He was a veteran of the Army, serving in the 1st Calvary during the Korean conflict. Private burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Linnen, "Mom," was born Jan. 23, 1911, in Wichita, Kan., to Emma and James Perdue. She married H.C. "Pinky" Linnen on March 28, 1936, in Croft, Kan. They moved to Amarillo in 1937. She loved to work with flowers. She served on the Amarillo Garden Club Board of Directors and served as president. She spent many hours of labor and love planting flowers and raising funds to start the Amarillo Garden Center, which later became Amarillo Botanical Gardens. She had won many blue ribbons for her ferns and table centerpieces. She served as a certified judge for flower shows. She had also served as president of the YWCA Board of Directors. She taught Sunday school in the primary grades at First Baptist Church for many years. She had many friends and everyone loved her sweet, caring personality. She will be missed by all of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 30, 2000. Survivors include a daughter, Janie Singleton Davis of Amarillo; two brothers, Richard Perdue of Oklahoma City and Jiles Perdue and wife, Peggy, of Pratt, Kan.; and three grandchildren, Cas Singleton of Greeley, Colo., and Matt Singleton and Shelley Singleton, both of Amarillo. She became a war bride, who awaited the safe return of her soulmate, and would become a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, known as "G.G." She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, William Austin Adams.
