Services will be at 2 p.m Monday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 15th Avenue and Martin Road, with Dr. G.A. Roach, director of pastoral care at Northwest Texas Healthcare System, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Randolph was born in View Point. He married Ruby Mae Maroney in 1938. He entered the Army in 1943 until 1945 and served in the southern Philippines. During that time he earned the Combat Infantryman Badge, three overseas Service Bars, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal with two bronze stars, Philippine Liberation medal with one bronze star, Good Conduct Medal and the Victory Medal. In 1951 he went to work at Southwestern Public Service Co. and retired after 31 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved training his bird dogs and then showing off their skills to friends. He also loved gardening and especially his favorite cantelopes. Many a friend, neighbor and even strangers got to enjoy his cantelopes. He was preceded in death by his wife on Feb. 11, 2002, after 64 years of marriage. Survivors include two daughter, Glenda Buice and husband, Bobby, of Amarillo and Doris Jean Paraday and husband, Leroy, of Greenville; two grandchildren, Lisa Holdridge and husband, Chuck, of Plano and Brad Buice and wife, Deanna Taylor Buice, of Euless; two great-grandchildren, Kevin Holdridge of Plano and Taylor Ann Buice of Euless. She married Joe Milford Chapin in 1937. She later married Robert Gassett on March 1, 1975, in Pampa. She worked for the Skel-Tex Credit Union in Skellytown for 24 years and she served on the Skel-Tex Board of Directors for 12 years. She was a member of Eastern Star since 1935 and was a member of Briarwood Full Gospel Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Milford Chapin in 1971 and her husband, Robert Gassett in 2002; a son, Dan Chapin in 1983; and a grandson, Rodney Chapin in 1983. In 1927, she and her family moved to Texas and settled in Foard County. She was a member of the Methodist church. She married Doyle William "Oak" McCurley on Dec. 25, 1930, in Frederick, Okla. She was employed by Marie Foundations until retiring in 1976 and resided in McLean until 1999. She was preceded in death by her husband on March 3, 1957; a son, Doyle Lee McCurley in 1995; four brothers, John Dunn, Bill Dunn, Frank Dunn and Abner Dunn; three sisters, Mattie Bryan, Betty McCurley and Burl Dunn; Survivors include two sons, Wilburn R. He was employed in various job roles in industrial sales, but most recently, he was president of CB North America. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 8, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jack L. Krahn LUBBOCK - Jack L. Krahn, 73, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Westmont Christian Church with the Rev. Clint Stephens officiating. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park by Resthaven Funeral Home. Mr. Krahn was born July 3, 1930, in Vega. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1948. He served as a sergeant in the Army during the Korean War. He married Pat Starks on Jan. 15, 1955. He was a very active member of Alcoholics Anonymous with 27 years of sobrietry. He bred and exhibited English bulldogs for 25 years and had the top-ranked bulldog in the United States. He was an elder at Westmont Christian Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed. Survivors include his wife, Pat, of 49 years; six children, Debbie Ohnesorge of Bastrop, Doug Krahn and Steve Krahn, both of Enid, Okla., J.R. "Bud" Krahn of Wimberley, Andi Fabrizio of Aurora, Colo., and Kristie Kupp of Orlando, Fla.; three brothers, F.H. Krahn of Pflugerville, Jim Krahn of Amarillo and Bob Krahn of Lubbock; and six grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Kitchen Fund, in care of Westmont Christian Church, 4804 Utica Ave., Lubbock, TX 79414. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Arrangements are by Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. Mrs. White married John Clyde White on Jan. 5, 1950, in Borger. Survivors include four daughters, Linda Schaffler and Susan Gail Atkin, both of Amarillo, Joyce Marie Jackson of Haskell and Christine Diane Gililland of Beline, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mattie Nix of Lubbock, Mabel Daphine White of Kansas City, Mo., and Minne Ailene Stephenson of Roswell, N.M.
