Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rusty Hancock, pastor of Lincoln Street Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home. Mr. Cox was born June 19, 1928, in Dalhart. He owned and operated Dalhart Custom Kill and Cox Refrigeration. Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons, Kenneth Cox Jr. of Dalhart and Michael C. Cox of Plano; a brother, Larry Cox of California; a sister, Joann Banks of Amarillo; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Easley was born May 28, 1939, in Dumas to Albert Easley and Lora Lee Harris Easley. He was a former longtime Dumas resident and a resident of Irving for more than 30 years. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include two sons, Michael Easley and wife, Rachael, of Frisco and Matthew Easley of Euless; a daughter, Michelle Duncan of Irving; his mother of Dumas; a sister, Shirley McGarrity and husband, Mike, of Andrews; a grandson, Jordan Taylor Duncan of Irving; and a granddaughter, Ellie Emmaline Easley of Frisco. Georgia St. Mr. Eubanks was born July 21, 1922, in Milford to Sam and Beth Eubanks. He graduated from Mexia High School in 1940 and attended Baylor University. He married Vernell Scott on Nov. 29, 1947, in Dallas. They moved to Amarillo, where he was employed by Allis-Chalmers for 26 years as the parts manager. After Allis-Chalmers closed the Amarillo branch, he worked in the truck parts industry for Panhandle White, Cummins Sales and Service and Amarillo Truck Center. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Marsha Fox and husband, Casey, of Amarillo; a brother, J.W. of Mexia; a cousin, Martha Helweg of Mexia; four sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Mr. Escontrias was born in Cuchillo Paradio, Chihuahua, Mexico. He moved to the U.S. in 1973. He married Rebecca Leal at Stratford in 1979. He moved to Amarillo in 1990. He worked for Booker Transportation as maintenance supervisor until the time of his death. He enlisted in the Navy at the age of 15 and was stationed in Naples, Italy. He married Margaret McPherson on June 30, 1967. He was a carpenter and enjoyed making music. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Phipps; his mother, Pauline Phipps; and a twin brother, Frankie Phipps. She was a homemaker and volunteered at Northwest Texas Hospital auxiliary. She retired from Sears after working many years. Mrs. Steiner was a member of VFW Auxiliary and St. Stephen United Methodist Church. Ms. Thurman had a loving and gentle spirit and had a way of touching everyone she came into contact with. She enjoyed every day of her life, and her family was very important to her. She was preceded in death by her father, Donnie Thurman; two brothers, Randy Thurman and Dale Wayne Thurman; and all of her grandparents.
