Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Lowe, pastor, and Joe G. Jernigan officiating. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. Henderson was born Aug. 9, 1914, in Cottle County. She moved to Wheeler County in 1918 with her parents, Bertha Harville Bryant and J. Alford Bryant. She attended school in Wheeler and graduated with the class of 1933. She attended McMurry College in Abilene and West Texas State Teachers College in Canyon. She taught school in Center and Wheeler. On March 23, 1935, Era Jo married Ernest E. Henderson of Twitty. They made their home in the Twitty and Shamrock communities for 69 years. Mrs. Henderson was a member of First United Methodist Church and a working member of United Methodist Women. She was an officer and teacher of Sunday school, was a member of the church choir for many years and a very active supporter of the church's mission programs. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron and celebrated 50 years of service in 1993. She was a mother advisor of Rainbow Girls and a member of Times Study Club and Forum Study Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Noel W. Bryant. Survivors include her husband; a son, James E. Henderson and wife, Pat Wilson, of Greenville; a daughter, G. Lee Gieseman and husband, Jim, of Denver; five grandsons, Bill Henderson and wife, Lesley, of Pflugerville, Britt Henderson and wife, Connie Hodges, of Iowa Park, Glen Dunkin and wife, Lisa, of Denver, and Michael Gieseman and wife, P.J. Duncan, and Tim Gieseman and wife, Sheilah, all of Arvada, Colo.; four granddaughters, Janna Henderson Nemeth and husband, Steve, of Conifer, Colo., Joann Henderson Petchinsky and husband, Terry, of Lewisville, P.J. Dunkin Gieseman and husband, Michael, of Arvada, and Linda Gieseman Land of Denver; 11 great-grandsons, Patrick Henderson, Michael Henderson, Timothy Henderson, Bradley Guzman, Steven Nemeth, Britt Nemeth, Justin Gieseman, Matthew Gieseman, Liam Dunkin, Owen Gieseman and Even Gieseman; and three great-granddaughters, Brittani Henderson, Julia Petchinsky and Abigail Petchinsky. Local arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mrs. Dinsmore had been a resident of Pampa since 1994, moving from Euless. She was a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, Robert Dinsmore of Pampa, John Dinsmore of Irving and Michael Dinsmore of Euless; two daughters, Cindy Wood of North Richland Hills and Bonnie White of Graham; a sister, Norma Caldwell of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Taylor, 67, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, in Amarillo. No services are planned. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mr. Taylor was a truck driver for Groendyke Transport. He drove 3 million miles accident free, making him a member of President's Million Mile Club. Survivors include his wife, Aileen; three daughters, Renee Vaughn of Amarillo and Kelly Martin and Garon Newton, both of Panhandle; a brother, Dewitt Taylor of Ripley, Tenn.; two sisters, Essie VanCleve of Ripley and Mary Faye Tuberville of Alabama; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Waite was born Feb. 10, 1923, in Vincent County. She had been a Dumas resident since 1946. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dumas. She married Shirley G. Waite on Aug. 27, 1945, in Lubbock. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 21, 1985; and a son, Larry G. Waite on July 25, 1985. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Foulk of Marietta, Ga.; a son, Gary Waite and wife, Cynthia, of Amarillo; and nine grandchildren. Mrs. Jones was born and raised in Foss, Okla., and was a graduate of Foss High School. She also graduated from Draughon's Business School in Oklahoma City. She married Tom C. Jones on June 27, 1937, in Clinton, Okla. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1946. She was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 50 years and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981; and a son, Thomas Rhett Jones in 1961. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Palitza and husband, Fabian, of Amarillo and Drs. Mary Jane Weil and husband, Mike, of Fort Collins, Colo.; a sister, Helen Griffin of Columbia, Mo.; four grandchildren, Anne Marie Palitza, Sally Palitza, Robin Roby and Alex Roby; and two great-grandchildren, Neve Roby and Deke Roby. "Sonny" Brinkerhoff, 75, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 28, 2004. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Brinkerhoff was born and raised in Denver. He was a veteran of the Navy. He married Pat Quinn on Feb. 14, 1974, in Denver. He had been a resident of Amarillo since 1980. He worked as a dispatcher for Affiliated Foods for 23 years before retiring in 2003. Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Richardson of Amarillo; a daughter, Marie LaFavre of Denver; a sister, Maxine Kestel of Denver; and three grandchildren, Jessica Richardson, Shannon Elliot and Jason LaFavre. Albertson, 53, of Amarillo died Saturday, March 27, 2004. Memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Albertson was born to Ted C. and Margery G. Albertson on Aug. 31, 1950, in Iowa City, Iowa. He attended schools in Odessa, Big Spring, Borger, Riverside, Calif., Phoenix, and Perryton. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1968. He attended Amarillo College and finished his bachelor of science degree at East Central Oklahoma State University in Ada, Okla., in 1979. Mr. Albertson served in the Army, beginning at Fort Bliss, assigned to Germany and then to Vietnam, where he had two brothers also stationed. He was discharged as a sergeant, receiving both the Army Commendation Medal and the Bronze Star medal. While in Borger, Mr. Albertson, his sister and two brothers were baptized at First Baptist Church by Dan Cramron, pastor. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Amarillo. His was preceded in death by a nephew, Nathan Albertson of Amarillo; his aunts and uncles, Grant E. and Aggie Albertson of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Robert and Mary Krewson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.; his paternal grandfather, Ted W. Albertson of Cedar Rapids; and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Effie Votroubek of Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his grandmother, Mary E. McCrum; his parents of Amarillo; three brothers, Ted. W. and wife, Pam, and their son, James Albertson, Jim D. and his children, Jamie Joy and Jimmy Dean Albertson, all of Amarillo, and David E. Albertson and wife, Susan, of Phoenix; a sister, Diana Lynn of Phoenix; his aunts and uncles, Charles and Louise Osterby and Paul and Audry Votroubek, all of Cedar Rapids; and many first and second cousins. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Community Memorial Funeral Home in Abilene with Paul Matta officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park. Mr. Edwards was born April 18, 1964, in Baird. He enjoyed his work with scrap metal and loved playing pool and golf. Survivors include his mother, Sally Hooper of Abilene; his father, Alton "Butch" Edwards and wife, Marlene, of Lima, Ohio; two sons, Nathan Edwards and Hunter Edwards, both of Amarillo; a daughter, Cassie Edwards of Amarillo; six sisters, Loretta Norman of San Antonio, Christy Hext of Houston, Sally Fagan of Kansas City, Mo., Shelly Ramirez and Kristina Fowler, both of Abilene, and Angie Lane of Buffalo Gap; and his grandmother, Vivian Edwards of Abilene. Amarillo Globe-News, March 30, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Donald Riggan Donald Riggan, 64, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 28, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mr. Riggan was born in Clinton, Okla., on March 17, 1940, to Alene and Homer Riggan. He graduated from Del City High School in Del City, Okla., in 1957, where he was an all-state athlete and a member of the school's Athletic Hall of Fame. Mr. Riggan graduated from East Central University in Ada, Okla., with his bachelor's degree in 1963 and received his master's in education from WTSU in 1973. After a brief stint of coaching basketball in New Mexico, he took a position as head varsity basketball coach and teacher at Amarillo High School from 1970 to 1974. In 1975, he became an agent with State Farm Insurance, where he remained until his retirement in 2002. Mr. Riggan was a member of Harley Owners Group "HOG" Amarillo Chapter, where he was very active. He loved his family and his many friends. He was quick to lend a hand and tell a joke. He loved both watching and participating. He loved LIFE. Survivors include his wife, Tracey; three sons, Don Riggan Jr., Dayle Riggan and Matt Harmel, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Joanna Harmel of Amarillo; and a granddaughter, Riley Grace Riggan.
