Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. David E. Purl officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Bain was born Feb. 20, 1926, in May, Okla. She had been a Sunray resident since 1934. She married Jack Bain on Sept. 20, 1947, in Sunray. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Sunray. She was active in Eastern Star, 20th Century Study Club and was an avid bridge player. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Jim Bain of Fort Worth, Dewey Bain and wife, Susie, of Sunray and Gary Bain and wife, Libby, of Stratford; a daughter, Sherri Scroggs and husband, Dale, of Stinnett; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Stephens was born March 15, 1912, in Greenville. She had been a Dumas resident since 1951, having been a prior resident of Greenville. She was owner and operator of Lorene's Draperies from 1959 until her retirement in 1999. She was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church of Dumas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Stephens in 1982. Survivors include a sister, Grace W. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Brooks was born in Marlow, Okla., and raised in Amarillo. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1953. She married Larry Brooks in 1958 at Amarillo. Mrs. Brooks taught Sunday school at Paramount Baptist Church and Mescalero Baptist Church for several years. She was a very loving and caring person and will be missed by all. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Barbara Ann Moore of Panhandle; a son, John Brooks of Amarillo; a brother, Tony R. Brock in 1930 in Cheyenne, Okla. They lived in Hemphill and Wheeler counties from 1931 to 1941, when they moved to Amarillo. Mrs. Brock worked part time at Blackburn Brothers, was a homemaker, and a loving wife and mother. She was a charter member of Coulter Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Martin of McLean and Regina Scott of Amarillo; a sister, Estelle Montgomery of Pampa; two brothers, Clint Evans of Pampa and Rondel Evans of Canadian; five grandchildren, Terry Martin, Pam McDonald, Brad Wilson, Brent Norrell and Nikki Bartosiewicz; and 12 great- grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David Evans officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. McCain was born in Giles on Jan. 17, 1927, to Harvey and Rhea Stotts. She graduated from Hedley High School in 1944. She married Ray McCain in Amarillo on Jan. 5, 1947, and they had been married 57 years. Mrs. McCain worked as an LVN at St. Anthony's, NWTH, and was the charge nurse at several Amarillo nursing homes, retiring in 1986. Her family was the center of her life, revolving around her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her 11th great-grandchild will be born in May. She enjoyed cooking for her family, especially during the holidays. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Stotts. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Janice Faulkner and husband, John, Linda Westerby and husband, Charles, Gail Adams and husband, Rick, and Kim Wiebe and husband, Richard, all of Amarillo; a son, Donnie McCain and wife, Martha, of Arlington; 10 grandchildren, Melanie Cargo, Julie Seitz, Josh Adams, Amy Carter, Becky Lee, Jessica Wiebe, Brooke Adams, Alisha Wiebe, Danielle Wiebe and Ricky Wiebe; and 10 great-grandchildren. In 1991, she moved from the family farm south of Goodwell to Guymon. Burial will be in City of Levelland Cemetery by Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors. Mr. Knox was born on July 25, 1928, in Burkburnett, Wichita County, and moved to Levelland in 1966 from there. He married Marilyn Rose on April 9, 1977, at Lake Jackson. He had worked in the oilfield for many years, retiring from Texaco. He later worked for CWC Well service as a pusher before retiring again. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of First Christian Church, Levelland, Levelland Lodge #1236 AF & AM, Levelland Chapter #797, Order of the Eastern Star, Lubbock Scottish Rite Bodies and the York Rite. Mrs. Anthis was born on Aug. 5, 1918, in Fort Worth to the late Claude and Clara Goodnight. Gladys married Raymond Anthis on May 29, 1943, in Clovis, N.M. She graduated from Amarillo High School then attended Texas Tech University. She was a member of Lubbock Women's Club, The Eastern Star, and Aldersgate Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church. Gladys co- owned Lubbock Grain Inspection with her husband. Survivors include a sister, Jean Kile and husband, James, of Amarillo; two daughters, Judy Prokopik and husband, Bill, of Bastrop and Martha Anthis of Lubbock; a son, Thomas R.
