Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Polk Street United Methodist Church with Dr. James E. Garrett, senior pastor, and the Rev. Marty Hamrick, associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Nipp was born June 9, 1931, in Blair, Okla., to Harold and Alice Nipp of Blair. He was a graduate of Blair High School in 1949, Oklahoma State in 1950 and Southwest Oklahoma State in 1953. He received his master's degree from the University of Texas and received an administrators license at West Texas State University. He married Jo Reta Lankford Nipp on Sept. 10, 1950, in Blair. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1956. He coached at Vinson, Okla., Woodward, Okla., and taught and coached at Caprock High School in 1963. He served as assistant principal Caprock High School in 1970, principal at Bowie Middle School in 1974 and principal at Tascosa High School in 1975 where he retired from in 1990. He was an active member of Polk Street United Methodist Church, Downtown Lions Club and Texas Teacher Retirement Association and belonged to the Masonic Lodge. He was inducted into the Tascosa Rebel Hall of Fame in 1999. The Nipp family deeply appreciates the special care of Dr. Chiyyarath Sreenivasan, Dr. Janet Schwartzenberg, Dr. Bruce Baker, Dr. Karim Nawaz, Dr. Walter Allison, Dr. Michael G. Ryan and BSA Hospice. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Harold Nipp in 1991. Mr. Houdashell was born in Claude, but spent most of his life in Amarillo as a mechanic and truck driver. Burial will be in Memory Gardens by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell Ave. Mr. Edwards was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1948. He served in the Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Lyndon Latham and Greg Dowell officiating. Mr. Beauregard was born in Amarillo on Aug. 18, 1954, to Ken and Wanda Beauregard. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1972. He was a foreman and a co-owner of Amarillo Landscape and Sprinkler from 1971 until his retirement in 2002. He was a loving family man and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He frequently demonstrated for local schools and museums the history, traditions, tools and mode of living utilized by the trappers, explorers and traders known as Mountain Men. He was a founding member of the Plum Creek Brigade. He also served as an officer at several levels for the Texas Panhandle Irrigation Association. He volunteered as a cook for Camping in the Canyons. He followed his children's activities as a sports dad and band booster. He was a member of Central Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father in 2002. Survivors include his wife, Janis; a daughter, Deana Beauregard of Amarillo; a son, B.J. "Junior" Chaparro W.G. "Junior" Chaparro, 52, of Amarillo died Thursday, April 1, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with Glendell Smith, chaplain of BSA Hospital, officiating and Wes Langham and Bob Williams assisting. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Chaparro was born in San Antonio and raised in Wichita, Kan. He moved to Amarillo in 1963. He graduated from Caprock High School in 1971. He served in the Army and was honorably discharged. He was employed at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital from 1977 until the time of his death. He was married to Lori for 25 years, who remained by his side until the end. He played and coached a variety of softball teams in men's and mixed leagues. He was also a member of the Amarillo Bowling Association and bowled on several leagues. He was preceded in death by his mother, Aurora Chaparro; a sister, Maria Chaparro; two brothers-in-law, Joe Molina of Clovis, N.M., and his best bud, Victor Kinikin of Panhandle; and a niece, Andrea Kinikin. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with the Rev. David Brack, of Christ Covenant Presbyterian Church, officiating. Mr. Oliphint was born in Oklahoma City on Feb. 22, 1929. He was the third child and only son of Varner Hulet and Gladys Barton Oliphint. They moved to Amarillo in 1946, where he spent most of his life. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1947. He married Cleo Anderson in 1980. He spent 31 years at Pantex. He was an involved father of five children as a Little League coach and Boy Scout leader. His exceptional work ethic guaranteed that his family seldom wanted for anything. God blessed those around him for giving them such an exceptional husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Mae Aylesworth. He married Bernice Wilson in La Junta, Colo., on June 6, 1947. He retired from Santa Fe Railway. He served as an elder and was very active in First Christian Church. He volunteered at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the Salvation Army and had served on the board of the Santa Fe Credit Union. He was preceded in death by a brother.
