"Rich" Richardson Garner W. "Rich" Richarson, 83, of Amarillo died Sunday, April 18, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Coulter Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Ashlock and the Rev. Ron Whitt officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Richardson was born to Samuel and Jeanett Richardson on May 26, 1920. He married Vivian Barton at Raton, N.M., on Sept. 28, 1946. He attended Texas Tech and was a veteran of the Navy. He was a natural gas plant production supervisor for Colorado Interstate Gas, formerly known as Coastal, and now El Paso Natural Gas. Mr. Richardson was past president of the local bridge club, a member of VFW and was also a Mason. He was a member of Coulter Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters, Sondra Milford and Diane York; his parents; and two brothers, Vasel Richardson and S.C. Richardson Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Ashlock and husband, Gary, of Amarillo and Linda Nowell and husband, Bobby, of Pampa; two sisters, Melrose Perkins of Dallas and Mildred Harper of El Paso; nine grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and a very special friend, Bettye Miller of Amarillo. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Templo Betel in Dumas with Delfino Valenzuela of the church officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home of Dumas. Mr. Valenzuela was born June 6, 1935, in Presidio, to Delfino and Luz Valenzuela. Survivors include his wife, Elva; two sons, Hector Valenzuela Jr. and John Paul Valenzuela, both of Amarillo; two daughters, Rosemary Valenzuela of Amarillo and Selvia Valenzuela of The Woodlands; five brothers, Henry Valenzuela of Amarillo, Ernesto Valenzuela of Bracketville, Delfino Valenzuela Jr. and Robert Valenzuela, both of Dumas, and Freddy Valenzuela of Abilene; four sisters, Estefana Cobos and Blanca Lidia Valenzuela, both of Dumas, and Lupe Suarez and Janie Yanez, both of Fresno, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was a member of Assembly of God Church. Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with the Rev. Scott Greer, senior minister, and the Rev. Roy Wheeler, minister emeritus, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Salmon was born March 20, 1978, in Amarillo to B. Dewayne and Georgene Lott Salmon. He had worked in the customer service department at Jerry's Texaco at 34th and Bell. Troy loved to piddle with cars. He bought, traded and sold enough cars to have his own car lot if he had room. Troy had a big heart. He gave friends a place to live until they got on their feet. If he had a chair, rug, anything someone needed, he'd give it away. He did little things for his customers without pay because he cared about them. Troy was never shy to express his love to someone, even with others around. His mom and teachers used to say his smile would get him through life, (school was not that important to him) and it seemed to work for him. Troy's warmth, sensitivity and endearing sense of humor will truly be missed by his friends and family. Now, Troy and Chad are our greatest cheerleaders saying, "Go, Mom, go! Go, my friends, go!" He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Chad Salmon; his grandparents, Austa H. deVries, George W. Lott, Mary Beth and Lloyd Hill and Norman Salmon; and his aunt, Debra Lott Roberts. Survivors include his mother; a son, Brayden of Amarillo; an aunt, Jacque Lee of Amarillo; and an uncle, Billy F. Briggs Jr. of Amarillo. Mrs. Collins was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Mrs. Padilla was born Sept. 26, 1948, in Clayton. She worked as a licensed vocational nurse at Union County General Hospital. She worked for her father as a personal secretary for his farm operation and Cox Farm Equipment. Mr. Begley married Christene LaVern Jones on Dec. 26, 1959, in Holdenville. In 1988, he was elected to the Oklahoma State House of Representatives for District 61.
