Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in St. John Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Golden Gate Mortuary, 1416 N. Hughes St. Nanny was born to Earnest Lee Nickelson and Lucille Odie in Honey Grove on Dec. 30, 1929, where she married Sherman Wilson taking the last name Wilson. After his passing, she moved to Amarillo in 1956, starting her family as a full-time mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her own and others. She was preceded in death by her parents; a husband; a son; a daughter; and three grandchildren. Survivors include four sons, Ralph Owens, Ricky Wilson, Ronnie Wilson and Gregory Wilson; her stepsons, Kenny Young, Ray Oliver, Cedric Steed and Fulo; three daughters, Sharon Chance, Janie Winas and Kathy Westmorland; a stepdaughter, Brenda Cook; 39 grandchildren, nine of whom she raised, Yankee, Chany, Demetress, Popa, Bill, Chunky, Betty, Katie and Frita; and 27 great- grandchildren. Her love and guidance extended to a multitude of people and generations. She will certainly be missed. Viewing will be from 1 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. She retired from Carver High School as the cafeteria manager. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Redden; her parents, Horace Anderson Sr. and Clarice Lee; and a brother, Horace Anderson Jr. Survivors include three nephews, Charles Anderson Sr., John Anderson and Horace Anderson III; a niece, Gracie Anderson; and a cousin, Charlotte Brewster. He moved to Amarillo in 1982 from California. He worked for the U.S. Post Office then retired and worked as a custodian for Amarillo College. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Stewart was born in Salina, Kan., and moved to North Carolina at age six. She grew up mainly in Pembrook, N.C., and graduated from Vardell Hall Private Girl School in Red Springs, N.C. She moved to Texas in 1979. She worked at a private terminal at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, American Quarter Horse Association and West Texas A&M University library. She was also an artist. She received her bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees in graphic art from West Texas A&M University. She was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Francis Pfeifer; and a son, Shane Louis Stewart. Bell St. Mrs. Laycock was born Jan. 23, 1915, in New Orleans. She married Raymond Laycock in 1942 and moved to Pampa in 1950. In 1975 she moved to Lake Tanglewood where she was a member of Lake Tanglewood Community Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and a sister. Survivors include a daughter, Chris Lemons and husband, Don, of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Erin Rae Osenbaugh of Dallas; a grandson, Jeff Lemons of Amarillo; a brother, Berkel T. He served in the Army and was a veteran of Vietnam. He was a local artist and is remembered for his donations of art work to the Art Alliance for Arthritis. Georgia St. Mr. Hungate was born March 22, 1936, in Dallas. He was a graduate of Canyon High School and received his bachelor's and master's degrees in education from West Texas State University. He married Kay Janelle Russell on Dec. 28, 1958, in Claude. He served in the Army. He taught in the Amarillo public schools for 30 years, retiring in January 1990. He was a life member of NEA and TSTA and the Retired Teachers Association. He was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Minnie Agnes Hungate; and a sister, Jimmie Lee Hungate. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Kristi Kay Steelman and husband, Jeff, of Bovina and Lorri Lynne Bagwell and husband, David, of Liberal; four grandchildren, Allison Kaye, Ashley Marie and Amber Lynne Bagwell, all of Liberal, and Jeffrey Scott Steelman of Bovina. Burial will be in Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, north of Hereford, by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mrs. Chapman was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Galesburg, Ill., the daughter of Walter and Carrie Mathers. She graduated from Knoxville High School and attended Monmouth College, later marrying John P. "Jack" Chapman on Feb. 14, 1943. Mrs. Chapman lived 18 years in Yuma, Ariz., where she attended Trinity Methodist Church. She was a lay witness in churches in California and Arizona. After serving a mission term in South America and Panama, she returned to Hereford, where she taught many Bible classes and wrote a book titled "Life Line." She was preceded in death by her husband March 21, 1991. Survivors include a son, David Chapman of Canyon; three daughters, Kit Saling of Stockton, Calif., Gretchen Mandel of Milwaukee, Wis., and Ann Timney of Flagstaff, Ariz.; a brother, Max Mathers of Knoxville, Ill.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
