Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Coffman officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Storrs was born Jan. 24, 1926, to Willis Ray Solomon and Lena Edna Pearl Hollis in Crowell. Dimples was a longtime resident of Amarillo. She received her GED from Howard College in Big Spring at age 50. She worked on several ranches throughout Texas, including the Pitchfork Ranch, 6666 Ranch and JA Ranch. Dimples was dearly loved by her family and friends. She will be sorely missed. Survivors include three sons, Alton Ray Towe and Enid Lyle Morris, both of Amarillo, and Dale Zane Morris of Allison; a daughter, Toni Mae Simons of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous great- great-grandchildren. Vandervort Charles C. Vandervort, 87, of Amarillo died Wednesday, May 12, 2004. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2101 N. Coulter St., with Brock Lovett, bishop, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Vandervort was born to Charles and Avis Fall-Vandervort on March 21, 1917, in Plains, Kan. He married Dorothy June Hodges on Oct. 2, 1940, in Rockport, Mo. They were married 63 years. He was a member of San Jacinto Masonic Lodge No. 1330 in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Stanley; a daughter, Sharon Kae Bacon; a sister, Phyllis Gibson; his stepmother, Matilda Vandervort; his father, Charles Vandervort; and a granddaughter, Wendy Jordan. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mrs. Salinas was born and raised in Naniquipa, Mexico, and lived in Amarillo for 12 years. She married Franciso Salinas in Naniquipa in 1944. She was a homemaker and member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Ben Hur Salinas in 1980. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Maria Nevarez and Graciela Martinez; five sons, Sigifredo Salinas, Efrain Salinas, Ismael Salinas, Manuel Calzadillas and Neptali Salinas; three brothers, Ignasio Calzadillas, Jose Calzadillas and Mariano Calzadillas; 30 grandchildren; and 27 great- grandchildren. Mrs. Hoffman was born Nov. 23, 1920, in Bowie County. She married Leo Carl Hoffman on July 17, 1944, in Hereford. She was a beautician and a member of Pioneer Study Club, Panhandle 56 Villagers and Hereford Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975; and a sister, Dora Leigh Crow. Burial will be at 2 p.m. (CDT) in Mission Garden of Memories Cemetery in Clovis, N.M., by Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona. Mrs. Wilson was born July 11, 1919, to Grover C. and Esther (Volkman) Haws in Medford, Okla. She married Elmer Roy Wilson on Aug. 4, 1941, in Clovis. He died Feb. 16, 1972. She lived in Friona from 1945 to 1967 moving away and returning to Friona in 1974. She was a certified registered nurse anesthetist and worked as a nurse for 53 years, retiring at the age of 75. She was a member of Friona United Methodist Church and had been Sunday school superintendent for a number of years. She was a member of UMW and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include a son, Don Wilson of Albuquerque, N.M.; a daughter, Lynn Nelson of Friona; three sisters, Ella McDaniel of Clovis, N.M., Delpha Martin of Albuquerque and Erma Lee McClatchy of Safford, Ariz.; two brothers, Wesley Haws of Tohatchi, N.M., and Alfred Haws of Amarillo; and a granddaughter, Kristin Bailey of Lubbock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. A. F. Casey, pastor of First Baptist Church in Fritch, officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Mr. Campbell was born Dec. 26, 1935, in Stover, Miss., to Earl and Josephine Campbell. Leaving the cotton fields of home at the tender age of 16 to join his elder brother Granville (Bug aka "Sleepy") and cousins in the oil fields of Texas, JC became "Sip," the youngest hand from Mississippi. After working in the Texas and California oil fields, Sip settled in Borger where he and his wife, Bettye Jean, raised their family. Sip was the "Campbell" in Gunn-Campbell Well Service Inc. He enjoyed playing pool, dancing with his wife, fishing and hunting. Sip never met a stranger. He made people feel special. We will miss him. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife of 42 years; his parents; and Samuel, his eldest brother and Arthur Earl, his youngest brother. Survivors include a daughter, Darla Rawls and husband, Lonnie, of Yukon, Okla.; a son, John Harold Campbell of Borger; two brothers, Granville Campbell of Midwest City, Okla., and Otis Campbell of Borger; a sister, Earlyne Mooneyham of Pearle, Miss.; and five grandchildren, Derrick, Delana, Devon, John Paul and Jacob. Scott Penrod, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Pampa, officiating. Mrs. Foster was born Oct. 26, 1911, in Russellville, Ala. She attended schools in Alabama and Texas, and attended business college and worked in Amarillo prior to her marriage. She married Herman D. Foster in Childress. They lived in Childress, Amarillo and Borger before making their home in Pampa. Mr. Foster was a pharmacist who owned Harvester Drug in Pampa and co-owned B&B Pharmacy in Pampa. Mrs. Foster worked for the Medical and Surgical Clinic in Pampa, and was later co-owner and manager of B&B Pharmacy. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority, Omicron Chapter and was active in the B&PW. She loved to sing and dance and was involved in the Lions Club Minstrel for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pampa. She had been a resident of Dallas since 1997 to be near her children. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1953; two brothers, Col. Henry R. Johnston of Arlington, Va., and Walter H. Johnston of Clarendon. Survivors include a daughter, Janis L. Chisholm of Dallas; a son, Dan Robert Foster and wife, Molly, of Dallas; two brothers, William O. Johnston of Borger and J.E. Johnston of Clarendon; two grandsons, Dan Thomas Chisholm and wife, Amy, of Tucson, Ariz., and Mark Foster Chisholm of Dallas; and a granddaughter, Kelli Colleen Chisholm of Long Beach, Calif. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Putnam Funeral Home Chapel with Ron Langley officiating. Burial will be in Bluffton Cemetery in Bluffton. Mr. Fuller was born March 18, 1931, in Wood County to Howard and Jewell McAfee Fuller. He married Flo DeBord on April 4, 1973, in Lubbock. They were married 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, yard work and gardening, motorcycles, playing card games, and spending time with kids. He loved the lake and teaching kids to ski. Survivors include his wife; a son, Donnell Fuller and wife, Kim, of Amarillo; three daughters, Karen Sanders of Amarillo, Angie Litterski and husband, Paul, of Georgetown and Tina Brown and husband, Cary, of Lago Vista; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
