Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Floydada with the Rev. Anthony D. Sisemore officiating. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Rucker was born June 5, 1920, in Childress to Erve and Myrtle Bethany Rucker. He graduated from high school in Childress. He married Patricia Mary Davidson on Jan. 8, 1944, in Warrington, England. He moved to Floydada in October 1951 and to Amarillo in March 2003. He served in England with civil service technician detachment from 1942 to 1944. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946, having served in England and Guam during World War II. He was the owner of Rucker's OK Tire Store in Floydada. He was the original co-founder of Floydada Boy Scout Troop, a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, a sponsor of Floydada Baseball and Little League and a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Floydada, where he was a member of the auditorium class. He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 3, 2004; his parents; a brother, J.W. Rucker; and two sisters, Dealva Henson and Faye Gaines. Survivors include three children, Max Rucker and wife, Cheryl, and Patrick Rucker and wife, Kathy, all of Amarillo, and Linda Woodall and husband, Woody, of Clovis, N.M.; a brother, Troy Rucker of Redding, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Sain was born and raised in Eldorado, Okla., where he attended Eldorado High School. He married Mary Rhoads on Feb. 6, 1954, in Midland. Mr. Sain was a resident of Amarillo for more than 40 years. He was a welder and a member of Boilmakers Local 531. He loved Harleys, which he rode for more than 50 years, and was a member of Harley Owners Group. He was a member of Oak Dale Grace Fellowship Church. Amarillo Globe-News, May 26, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ada Farnsworth Webb Ada Farnsworth Webb, 93, of Amarillo died Saturday, May 22, 2004. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Conway officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. At Ada's request, this will be the only service on her behalf. She fulfilled a longstanding commitment to donate her body to science at Texas Tech Medical School. Mrs. Webb was born March 31, 1911, in Anson. She graduated from Anson High School in 1929, then attended North Texas University to obtain a temporary teaching certificate. She started her 33-year teaching career in the Oak Grove Community of Jones County, near Anson. By teaching and attending college part- time for several years, she obtained her BA from North Texas in 1938. She received her M.Ed. from West Texas A&M University in 1954. She married Boyd Marshall Webb of Borger on Sept. 29, 1940. Mrs. Webb taught third grade in Amarillo from 1954 through 1975, including at Sanborn, Wilson, Coronado and South Georgia elementary schools. She also served the teaching community for decades as a member, officer, and president of Delta Kappa Gamma. She served Westminster Presbyterian Church in many ways, including as moderator of Presbyterian Women in 1979, as an elder from 1984 to 1986 and as a delegate to many church conventions. She received the Woman of Faith award from the church in 1989. She was an officer and president of Church Women United of Amarillo. She supported the Presbyterian Children's Home in Amarillo for decades. Amarillo College established a scholarship in her name in the 1990s, which continues to benefit students there. She was the eldest child of seven of Eva Fowler Farnsworth and Edward E. Farnsworth. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 20, 1965; her brother, Staff Sgt. Elmer Lee Farnsworth; and a sister, Susie Mildred Hudson. Survivors include two sisters, Mary M. McBride of Round Rock and Eva G. Sage of Dallas; two brothers, John E. Farnsworth of Anson and Bill F. Farnsworth of Bella Vista, Ark.; a son, David F. Webb of Houston; and two grandchildren, Elizabeth L. Roehl of Pearland and Alexander D. Webb of San Antonio. Georgia St. Mr. Johnson was born in Thalia to W.A. and Maude Johnson on Nov. 19, 1927. He attended school in Thalia and Crowell, where he graduated from high school. He married Nelda Joyce Owen in Thalia in 1947. He moved to Amarillo in 1959. He worked and later became part-owner of Scott Lumber Co., before retiring from Western Builders. He was a member and served as a deacon of Southwest Church of Christ. He was also a member of Jeep Exclusive, Inc. He was devoted to his wife and family. He was preceded in death by his wife in 2000; a great-grandchild, Maddisun Martin in 1996; his parents; and a brother, Edgar Johnson. Mrs. Haynie was born Jan. 8, 1931, in Texline to William and Georgia (Parks) Knox. She was a graduate of Amarillo High School. She worked for Dudley Stanley for 25 years. Delores loved to play bridge with her many friends and enjoyed golf for many years. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always placing family first. She always showed unconditional love and generosity to those she loved. She was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Harold Haynie in 1996. Survivors include a daughter, Karen F. Georgia St. Mr. Hyde was born in Altus, Okla., to Homer and Mary Jo Hyde. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a self- employed mechanical contractor. Mr. Hyde lived at Lake Tanglewood until September 2003, when he moved to Amarillo. He remained very involved in the community and with Lake Tanglewood Community Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Hyde; and a son, Steve Hyde. Mrs. Rives was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Swisher County and was raised on a ranch outside of Tulia. She had been a resident of Borger for 56 years. She was a first-grade school teacher in White Deer and Phillips. She was a member of Faith Covenant Church and was a member of the American Contract Bridge League, in which she achieved the goal of Life Master in 2003. She was also a member of Paragon Study Club, Panhandle Ladies Golf Association and Panhandle Engineers Wives Clubs. Clothes, shoes and travel were her passions. Survivors include two sons, Joe Rives of San Antonio and David Rives and wife, Meredith, of Friendswood; a sister, Ila Marie Rogers of Tulia; Patsy Clarke, the mother of four grandchildren, Christine, Hannah, Margaret and Clarke Rives, all of San Antonio; two additional grandchildren, Brian and Jason Rives, both of Friendswood; a special niece, Dana Bauer of Sarasota, Fla.; a nephew, Bob Rogers of Lake George, Colo.; three great-nieces; and a great- nephew. He graduated form Oklahoma University in 1952 with a degree in petroleum geology. He started his career with Phillips Petroleum Co. and later formed his own consulting firm. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, a Mason, and a member of All Souls' Episcopal Church. Dick moved to Amarillo, Texas, in 1957 and to Oklahoma City in 1980. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eptanthy Soter Conkling in 1996.
