Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel with the Rev. Bill Fitzgerald, senior pastor of San Jacinto United Methodist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Purdom was born Dec. 2, 1902, in Edith, N.M. She married Cecil Julius "Jack" Purdom on Jan. 11, 1920, and they moved to Amarillo in 1923. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very active member of the Ladies Pathfinder Sunday school class at San Jacinto United Methodist Church for many years and was a member of Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Don Purdom; and two grandsons, Robert Don Purdom Jr. and Jack Purdom Latham. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. McLemore was born in Canadian and had been a resident of Amarillo since 1948. She worked at St. Anthony's Hospital as a registered nurse and retired after 33 years. Survivors include a daughter, Kay Lynn Land of Amarillo; two sisters, Gwendolyn Roye and Freda Bissett of Paramus, N.J.; three brothers, Tony Roye of Slaton, Henry Earl Roye of North Carolina and Winnsett Roye of Bogota, Columbia; and two grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Ellis was born May 21, 1916, in Wheeler County to Walter T. and Jessie Mae Wilson. She was a longtime member of Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church and belonged to Guiding Light Sunday school class. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Capansky in 1999. Mr. Rogers was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of VFW. The family especially thanks friends Rudy and Patsy Cuellar. He was preceded in death by two sons, Sidney Wayne Rogers in 1954 and Kenneth Carl Rogers Jr. in 1995. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Jean; a brother, James Frank Rogers of Plainview; and a granddaughter, April Rogers. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Fellowship Church with Phil Mercado, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Palo Duro Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors of Amarillo, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Allred was born to Joe and Ruby Allred in Amarillo on April 10, 1931. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1949. He was drafted into the Marine Corps in 1952. Buck served on numerous boards through the years including Wildorado Methodist Church, ASC Committee, Wildorado Producers Grain Association, Wildorado School Board, Galveston Burn Hospital, Houston Crippled Children's Hospital and Khiva Divan. Buck married Juanita Avent in 1959 and they have lived in Wildorado for 47 years. They were members of Trinity Fellowship Church. He will be dearly missed by his family. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeff Richardson in 1995. Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Allred and wife, Orvilla, of Wildorado; two daughters, Debbie Gilter and husband, John, and Lynn Allred, all of Amarillo; a grandson; seven granddaughters; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Treva Hubbard and Shirley Mills, both of Amarillo. Dodd DUMAS - Lonnie C. Dodd, 83, died Sunday, May 30, 2004. Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Morrison Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with Willard Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Dodd was born April 26, 1921, in Clarendon. He was a Dumas resident since 1954. He was a member of 14th Street Church of Christ in Dumas. He married Addie "Tincy" Thomas on May 20, 1946, in Wellington. He served in the South Pacific during World War II. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Susan Benge of Dumas; a sister, Pauline Riley of San Angelo; and two grandsons, Dodd and Kade Benge of Dumas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery. Mrs. Gonzalez was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, on Sept. 5, 1937. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Simon; four sons, Jesus Gonzalez and Alfredo Gonzalez, both of Dumas, Javier Gonzalez of Texhoma, Okla., and Carlos Gonzalez of Dumas; five daughters, Leticia Gonzalez and Juanita Gonzalez, both of Chihuahua, Martina Gonzalez of Texhoma, Guadalupe Gonzalez of Dalhart and Rosa Gonzalez of Dumas; her mother, Rosa Quintana of Chihuahua; four brothers; five sisters; 32 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Thacker Haynes, pastor of the United Methodist Church of McLean, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Masonic rites by Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge No. 1381. Mr. Milliron was born Oct. 31, 1912, in Downey, Idaho. He received a BS degree in civil engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 1938. He was a veteran of the Navy during World War II, where he was a PT boat commander and was a Lt. jg in the Naval Reserve. He married Maxine Holt on Dec. 23, 1943, in Sayre, Okla. From 1935 to 1955, Mr. Milliron was an engineering firms and contractors field engineer. From 1955 to 1979, he owned and operated Milliron Engineering, a general construction contracting firm. He was a registered professional engineer and was a member of ASCE, ASSE and TPSE. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a member of Pampa Masonic Lodge No. 966 and was a charter member of Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge No. 1381. Mr. Milliron was a member of El Paso Scottish Rite Consistory, Khiva Shrine Temple of Amarillo, York Rite Bodies of Borger and Pampa Shrine Club. He was a licensed private pilot and was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. He was a member of Downtown Kiwanis Club. He was preceded in death by his wife on Nov. 23, 2001. Survivors include a son, Roy Milliron of Amarillo; a daughter, Marilyn Butler and husband, Mike, of Horseshoe Bay; a granddaughter, Jennifer Milliron of Amarillo; and a sister-in-law, Betty Simmons of Lafayette, La. Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. today in Joe Arrington Cancer Center Chapel in Lubbock with the Rev. Joyce Bromm officiating. Arrangements are by White Funeral Home. Mrs. Kelly was born Oct. 13, 1948, in San Diego to the late James and Elsie Bernice Main Allen. She married John Howard, he preceded her in death in 1990. She then married Don Kelly in 1992. Mary moved to Lubbock from Borger in March 2001. She was a social worker and a Methodist. From 2001 to 2003, Mary was a member of the board of directors of Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA). From 1997 to 2002, she served on the Public Policy Committee of Texas Council on Family Violence. This committee helped shape and pass important and often life-saving legislation for battered women and children. Her work with these organizations resulted in stronger domestic violence and sexual assault programs throughout Texas and greater protection for victims. Survivors include her husband; a son, Kyle Howard of Austin; three daughters, Jill Hughes of Amarillo, and Amanda Armes and Katina Bradford, both of Wichita, Kan.; seven grandchildren, Isabelle and Harper Hughes, Colton and Austin Bradford, and Haley, Brianna and Taylor Armes. Memorial services were at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in Restland Funeral Home Wildwood Chapel. Mr. Dean was born in Borger in 1945. He graduated from Amarillo High School. After high school he served in the Navy and later received his degree from the University of Texas. He had a lengthy successful career in the insurance profession. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Tom Dean of Amarillo; a brother, Bill Dean of Lubbock; a nephew, Danny Dean of San Antonio; Danny Dean's children, Bradley, Miranda, Meredith and James; and a special friend, Jane Hardin of McKinney.
