Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Rest Hills Memorial Park. The best and most favored author in the world could not find the words to describe what a wonderful man Mr. Tucker was. He was born in Amarillo, Texas, Oct. 30, 1959. David graduated from Canyon High School in Canyon, Texas, in 1978 and later attended classes at Amarillo College. He worked for Red Lobster in Amarillo as a dishwasher beginning in 1976. He later met Glenda Bellar, a fellow employee of Red Lobster. On Feb. 16, 1979, he and Glenda were united in holy matrimony. At the appropriate age of 21, David began training as a manager for Red Lobster. He was promoted through the years and obtained an area supervisor position. Many Red Lobster locations through the nation had the pleasure of working under his leadership. In 1994, David was asked to move to North Little Rock to rehabilitate the North Little Rock Red Lobster, and that he did. Ten years in a row, he was the top-producing restaurant in the state of Arkansas. His success was attributed to the loyal dedication and patronage of the citizens of the Little Rock area and to his outstanding management team and crew. In 1999, David donated his time and proceeds during a banquet fund raiser for the North Little Rock High School Wildcat Marching Band, helping them to have the opportunity to march in the Orange Bowl Parade. He was a partner for the North Little Rock and Pulaski County School Districts. He participated in the CCE Program at the high school by allowing students the opportunity to be employed while obtaining an education. He was named on the Superintendent's Honor Roll in 2002. He served on the American Heart Association board and in 2003, was a recipient of the Ken Gilbert Volunteer of the Year Award for the American Heart Association. He was a very generous man and loved sharing his blessing with others. David was also a founding member of the area Restaurant Association. Most recently, Darden Restaurants recognized him with the distinction of becoming a Diamond Club Award and Flagship Restaurant Recipient, two of the most prestigious awards bestowed to a Red Lobster manager. He was very proud of this honor and was to be recognized next month by his colleagues. David you are loved and will be missed by every life you have touched in this life. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Aaron and Nathan Tucker, both of North Little Rock; his parents, Bill Tucker and Helen Bulin, and stepfather, James Bulin, all of Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Sandy Simmons, of Fritch, Texas, and Elizabeth Reynolds and Kim James, both of Amarillo; and his grandmother, Ramsey of Amarillo.
