Manuel Salas

Manuel Salas, 44, of Amarillo died Friday, June 25, 2004.

No services have been scheduled. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral
Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.

Mr. Salas was a long-time resident of Amarillo.

Survivors include five brothers, Joe Salas, Joe Leon Salas, Paul Patrick
Salas, Ruben Salas and Raymond Salas, all of Amarillo; and a sister, Ruby
Salas of Amarillo.

Herbert Joshua Massey

Shamrock - Herbert Joshua Massey, 85, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, in
Wellington.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of Christ in Shamrock with
Max McClendon, pastor, and Cottie Tarbet officiating. Burial will be in
Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors.

Mr. Massey was born Aug. 3, 1918, in Shamrock to Rufus and Julia Clark Massey.
He married Ruby Cates on Dec. 15, 1936, in Wheeler.

Herbert was a construction foreman for K.L. Towle and a farmer and rancher. He
was a veteran of World War II, receiving a Purple Heart. He was a member of
the Shamrock Church of Christ and had been a member of the Shamrock Sheriff's
Posse.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glen Massey.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry Massey of Shamrock; a daughter,
Sherry McCasland and husband, Terry, of Wheeler; two sisters, Maxine Hamilton
and Jo Ann Kelley, both of Killeen; two granddaughters; three great-
granddaughters; one niece; and four nephews.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
