Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Chuch with the Rev. Jeff Raines officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Williams was born Sept. 21, 1901, to Alice and David McManus in Black Hills, near Corsicana. She was a longtime faithful member of First Baptist Church since 1935. She worked for a number of years with 10-year-old children in Sunday school and training union. She was also a member of the Eunice Sunday school class at First Baptist Church and served in each office during the years. She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to BSA Hopice for the outpouring of Christian love and care. She was preceded in death by six brothers; a sister; a son, Clyde Ray Williams in 1968; and her husband, Clyde W. Williams in 1977. Survivors include three sets of five generations; and a daughter, Bobbie Word Bobbitt of Amarillo; a very special daughter-in-law, Phyllis Clay of Missouri City; five grandchildren, Diane Sieker of Canadian, Beckie Mahan of Amarillo, Douglas and Mark Williams, both of Houston, and Debbie Propper of Sugarland; eight great-grandchildren, Michelle Moore, Courtney Paxton, Todd Moore, Chris Sieker, Billy Propper, Bryan Propper, Lindsey Williams and Lauren Williams; four great-great-grandchildren, Allison Ganders, Hailey Paxton, Bethany Sieker and Bryton Sieker; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church 1208 S. Tyler St., Amarillo, TX 79101; BSA Hospice in care of Olivia's Angels, P.O. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Oasis Southwest Baptist Church with the Rev. J. Alan Ford, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors. Ms. Parker was born July 6, 1969, in Amarillo. She graduated from Caprock High School in 1987. She married John Alan Parker on July 1, 1989, and they moved to Atlanta in 2003. She will be remembered for her dignified manner and loving, caring spirit, and her love of her family as a mom, wife and daughter will be kept alive in loving memory. Survivors include her husband; two sons, James and Zachary, both of Braselton, Ga.; her mother, Barbara Stokes of Amarillo; her father, Dean White of Mineral Wells; a brother, Kevin Stokes of Amarillo; a niece, Katelyn Stokes of Amarillo; her grandmother, Luella McNabb of Amarillo; an uncle, Johnny McNabb of Amarillo; an aunt, Barbara McNabb of Amarillo; and three cousins, Corey, Mark and Walker McNabb, all of Austin. Mrs. Ray was born May 9, 1953, in Amarillo. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include two daughters, Kim Ray and Niki Lee Oehlert, both of Amarillo; her companion, Bill Kinney of Albuquerque; three brothers, Terry Covey, Bobby Covey and Patrick Scott, all of Amarillo; six sisters, Patricia Peek, Michelle Sparks and Sandy Goodman, all of Amarillo, and Tammy Turpin, Cindy Covey and Stephanie Scott, all of Houston; a stepfather, Monty Scott of Amarillo; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Utzman worked as an LVN, working for Dr. Carl Lang, Coronado Hospital, Coronado Healthcare Center and Leisure Lodge Nursing Center. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Fowler of Portland and Susan Stone of Corpus Christi; three sons, Raymond Utzman of Albuquerque, N.M., David Utzman of Rowlett and Wayne Utzman of The Colony; a sister, Mary Staggs of Littleton, Colo.; 15 grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Mrs. Watson worked for Western Union as a clerk from 1942 until retiring in 1971. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Neel was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She married Lloyd Neel on March 4, 1950, in Meade. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Terence L. Neel of Farmington, N.M., and Eddie K. Burial will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors. Mrs. King was born June 5, 1930, in Montezuma, Kan. She married John King on July 24, 1948, in Clayton, N.M. Survivors include her husband; three sons, Rick King of Plano, Terry King of Pampa and Kevin King of Shamrock; two daughters, Melanie Admire of Waxahachie and Andrea Green of Arlington; 12 grandchildren; a stepgrandson; four great- grandchildren; two brothers, Shirley Maxwell and Willard Maxwell, both of Kansas City, Mo.; and two sisters, Ruth Shobe of Kansas City and Bobie Merz of Santana, Kan. Amarillo Globe-News, July 1, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oklahoma William "Bill" Douthett Howard DUNCAN - William "Bill" Douthett Howard, 87, formerly of Amarillo, Texas, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, in Oklahoma City. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Eastside Church of Christ with Glen Mullens and Tommy Gilbert, Mr. Howard's nephew, officiating. Arrangements are by Don Grantham Funeral Home. Mr. Howard was born Sept. 18, 1916, in Lelia Lake, Texas, to Walter Perry and Minnie Stone Howard. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Transportation Corp. He owned and operated H-H Heating and Air Conditioning for 30 years in Amarillo. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. He married Jo L. Lane on Jan. 1, 1941, in Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Karol Hervey of Pampa, Texas, Gay Macalskey of College Station, Texas, and Mike Howard of Duncan; a sister, Juretta Kirkland of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
