Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel, 4180 Canyon Drive. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. King was born and raised in Amarillo. He was a lifetime resident of Amarillo. He served in the Army. He married Lynette Sharber in Amarillo on Sept. 2, 1978. He was a truck driver and trained other drivers. Mr. King loved driving trucks. He was preceded in death by a son, Brandon King in 1990. Survivors include his wife; a son, Bryan King and wife, Sommer, of Amarillo; a brother, Bruce King of Amarillo; his parents, Cleveland and Doris King of Amarillo; and three grandchildren, Hannah King, Emily King and Madison King. Interstate 40. Mrs. Noe was born April 6, 1960, in Borger to Raymond and Lou (Stidham) White. She graduated from Amarillo College with a degree in nursing. Menzella worked for 15 years as a registered nurse. Menzella helped open the PAMIO Program at the Clements Unit in Amarillo and also worked at the Abilene State School in Abilene. She was a member of South Lawn Baptist Church. She married Michael Ted Noe Jr. on Aug. 3, 1991, in El Dorado, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Molder was born and raised in Baird. She married the love of her life, Clyde Molder in 1951. A special thanks to her granddaughter, Sunshine Adams, for all of her loving care and for the trips to the grocery store. Mrs. Molder had a great-granddaughter on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Adams and husband, James, of Alvin and Lucy Amphay and husband, Sack, of Fort Worth; a special sister-in-law, Fay Mobley of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with the Rev. Stephen Gaines of San Jacinto United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery with military rites by DAV Chapter 26. Mr. Hadley was born in Amarillo on June 20, 1931. His mother, Ada Hadley, raised him and his brother, Robert, on her own. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1949. He served in the Army/Air Force during the Korean War. After the war he was stationed in Washington, where he was a police officer for 25 years. He was a member of San Jacinto United Methodist Church and the VFW. He loved his family. He loved to go boating, camping and fishing. He had won some golf tournaments, was a expert shooter and he loved his Dallas Cowboys. He and his wife, Helen, were married 34 years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ada Lee Hadley; and a brother, Robert Hadley. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Donnie Hadley Jr. and wife, Mary, and Daryl Hadley, both of Spokane, Wash., Kenneth Hadley of Amarillo and Jeffrey Hadley and wife, Carmina, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Denice Utter and Debbie Abbott, both of Spokane; 15 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his extended family members including Doris and Alvie Gibbs and family and Shirley and Harry Riggens, all of Amarillo, Don and Carol Mailow and family of Oklahoma and Karen McKinley. Georgia St. Mrs. Barnett was born May 5, 1915, in Bates City, Mo. She retired from Bell Telephone Co. after 34 years. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Veona Davis and Verna Bell Elliott. Amarillo Globe-News, July 29, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Vera Lorene Walker BORGER - Vera Lorene Walker, 96, died Tuesday, July 27, 2004. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in First Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Boren officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa by Brown Funeral Directors. Mrs. Walker was born Feb. 20, 1908, in Wing, Ark., the daughter of Jacob Benjamin and Florence (Smith) Chester, as the sixth of 12 children. She married Allard William "Pat" Walker on April 20, 1929, in Johnson County, Okla. Mr. Walker was employed by Phillips Petroleum Co. near Seminole, Okla. A daughter, Maxine, was born in 1930 and a son, Dwayne, was born in 1934. The Walkers moved to Borger in June 1943, when Phillips transferred more than 100 employees to staff a new plant being built as a wartime project to produce synthetic rubber. New housing and a school were required for these new families, and when the Bunavista School was opened in 1944, the principal asked Vera, already active in the PTA, if she would organize and manage the new school cafeteria. Vera managed the Bunavista school cafeteria for 13 years, then managed the new David Crockett Elementary School cafeteria for two years. In 1960, Frank Phillips College President J.W. Dillard asked her to manage the new college cafeteria, where she served 15 years before retiring. Vera was known for her pastries, rolls and tasteful dinners that she served to students and for special events like Dinner Theater. She had been a member of First Methodist Church of Borger since 1943, and served in the kindergarten class for 45 years, for which she received special recognician. She was a member of Faith and Life Sunday school class. Vera was an avid gardner, skilled seamstress and talented artist. Her paintings are enjoyed by her family, friends and at Frank Phillips College and First Methodist Church. In 1999, Vera sold her home in Borger and moved to Craig Methodist Retirement Center in Amarillo, where she lived until ill health brought her to Caring Heart Care Home in Borger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allard; her parents; eight sisters; and three brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Maxine Bulls Brown of Borger; a son, Dwayne Walker and wife, Nancy, of Houston; her grandson, David Walker and wife, Mindy, of Houston; a great-grandson, Benjamin Walker of Houston; and a granddaughter, Stacy Boe and husband, Robert, of Dallas. The family suggests memorials be to First Methodist Church of Borger; Odyssey Health Care of Amarillo; Vera Walker Scholarship Fund at Frank Phillips College; or Caring Heart Home in Borger. The body will be available for viewing at the funeral home in Borger. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel. He was currently vice president of football operations for the Green Bay Packers. He was inducted into the Texas Panhandle Sports Hall of Fame and also listed in the top 100 Panhandle Sports Legends of the Century. He was preceded in death by his parents.
