Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Stephen Methodist Church. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford. Mrs. DeShazo was born Nov. 1, 1906, in Walker County, Ala., the daughter of Safronia and James Marcum Sr. She married Curtis Billingsley on April 23, 1927. She married Tom DeShazo on July 1, 1961. Mrs. DeShazo was a retired LVN nurse, had worked at Cloth World for several years in Amarillo, worked at the Ladies Ready to Wear Shop in Childress and worked for several years at the Memphis cleaners. Mrs. DeShazo was a member of St. Stephen Methodist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1945; her second husband in 1979; four brothers; two sisters; and two sons. Survivors include three sons, Joe DeShazo and wife, Robbie, of Dumas, John DeShazo of Spokane, Wash., and Jackie DeShazo and wife, Masae, of Fairfield, Calif.; a daughter, Betty Provence of Amarillo; three sisters: Lois Reagan of Hobbs, N.M., Oneta Weatherly and husband, Winfred, of Amarillo and Mary Richburg and husband, Lonnie, of Crowley; 18 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice, 200 N.W. Seventh Ave., Amarillo, TX 79107. Pauline Potter died July 29, 2004, following a long illness. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Calvin Green, in 1973 and by her second husband, Glenn Potter, in 1995. Survivors include four daughters, Doris Penly of Newport News, Va., Judy Want of Amarillo, Linda Millirans of South Bend, Ind., and Carol Mayton of Hopkinsville, Ky.; two sons, Charles Green of Amarillo and William Green of Dayton; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a great-great- grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. D.D. Fincher, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mr. Brown was born in Jasper on March 12, 1909. He was an Amarillo resident for 48 years. Mr. Brown was a deacon of Jenkins Chapel Baptist Church. He also served as church custodian and choir president. He worked with the Brotherhood Sunday School and BTU. He worked for Morrison Supply Co. and Levi Strauss. Survivors include a son, John Wesley Brown of Amarillo; a daughter, Imogene Brown-Polite of Amarillo; a sister, Bessie Mae Brown of East St. Louis, Mo.; granddaughter, Virginia Brown-Hamilton of Amarillo; two nieces, Pansy Scott of Jasper and Gertrude Aldridge of Riverside, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Grand Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. David Driskill officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Ray was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Clarendon to William Ira and Willie Lois Horton. He served in the Air Force from 1948 to 1954. He worked at the International Envelope Co. in Dallas. After retiring, he lived in Carrollton before moving to Amarillo in 1999. He married Tina Turner on Aug. 7, 1959. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a brother, Barney Horton of Clarendon; a sister, LaNora Clark of Amarillo; and a granddaughter, Susan Jean Galyean of Killeen. Survivors include two daughters, Anita Moore and Sandra Turner, both of Amarillo; a son, Roger Galyean of Killeen; two brothers, Elbert Horton of Kingsville and Bill Horton of Amarillo; two sisters, Thelma Allison of Lewisville and Rita Burns of Amarillo; three grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families and friends. Hazel Cave, 93, a 50-year resident of Amarillo, passed away July 25, 2004, at Thousand Oaks, where she had moved in 1998 to be with her daughter. Mrs. Cave, a member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Amarillo, was born May 18, 1911, in Gardner, Kan. Her parents were Luther and Ada McKaig of Gardner, and she was married to LaVon Cave of Stillwell, Kan. Survivors include a daughter, Sona Anderson of Thousand Oaks; three grandchildren, Rick Anderson of San Francisco and Cheryl Anderson Smith and Howard Anderson, both of Thousand Oaks; two great-grandchildren, Cory Smith and Krista Smith, both of Thousand Oaks; a sister, Thelma McKaig Bigelow of Seattle; a brother-in-law, Wayne Rinne of Alabama; four nephews, Larry Rinne of South Carolina, Jim Rinne of Illinois, Steve Bigelow of Seattle and Keith Cave of Kansas; and three nieces, Jan Rinne Smith of Illinois and Reta Cave Beach and Glynda Cave Stepaniak, both of Kansas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Joe G. Jernigan, pastor, and the Rev. Dean Driver, pastor of Samnorwood Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Plymouth Cemetery in Samnorwood by Wright Funeral Directors. J.H. Oldham Jr. was born Aug. 21, 1930, three miles north of Dozier on the Roland Ranch to John Houston Sr. and Ethel Jones Oldham. He attended Samnorwood schools and lived most of his life as a farmer and rancher in the Samnorwood-Shamrock area. J.H. married Betty Rae Bullock on Aug. 8, 1949, in Samnorwood. He actively served the Samnorwood and surrounding communities as a member of First Baptist Church of Samnorwood, the Samnorwood School Board, the Collingsworth County A.S.C.S. Committee, the Samnorwood Lions Club and the Shamrock and Samnorwood Rodeo Clubs. Mr. Oldham was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend. He was preceded in death by his father; three sisters, Mary Ruth Oldham, Alta Jewel Oldham and Evelyn Oldham; and a brother, David Oldham. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Mike Oldham and wife, Pam, of Howardwick, Clinton Oldham and wife, DiAnna, of Winnie and Clifford Oldham and wife, Kim, of Shamrock; his mother of Shamrock; a brother, David "Dusty" Oldham of Shamrock; a sister, Barbara Christiansen of Provo, Utah; six grandchildren, Cole Oldham, Chelsea Oldham, Clint Oldham, Jordan Oldham, Amber Oldham and Shaena Oldham; and a stepgrandson, J.C. Mr. Wiggains was born Jan. 20, 1918, in Tyrone, Okla., the son of Gilbert and Sally Ann Wiggains. He married Anna Brewer on May 3, 1946, in Beaver, Okla. Mr. Wiggains had farmed in Deaf Smith County for more than 50 years, was a member of Hereford Central Church of Christ for more than 57 years and served as an elder. He was preceded in death by his wife; four brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include two sons, Lowell Wiggains and wife, Nancy, of Tyler and David Wiggains and wife, Susan, of Canyon; three sisters, Ida Weatherford of Dumas and Una Stout and Eva French, both of Liberal, Kan.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was a rancher.
