Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Dr. Jim W. Smith, pastor of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Mr. McAnelly graduated from Tulia High School and attended Texas Tech University for two years. He earned his BS in agriculture from West Texas State University. He married Linda Barbee on Jan. 22, 1959, in Canyon. Mr. McAnelly participated in oil and gas development and dealt in drilling equipment. He was an avid sports fan, was actively involved in 4-H programs and always supported West Texas A&M in Canyon. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Bilinda McCutcheon and husband, Willis, of Plainview; his mother, Ruby McAnelly of Plainview; a sister, JoAnn Daniel and husband, William, of Amarillo; and two grandchildren, Will and Wes McCutcheon, both of Plainview. Amarillo Globe-News, Sept. 2, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Carey Lyles Carey Lyles, 24, of Amarillo died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church of Canyon with the Rev. David L. Lowrie Jr. officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Lyles was born in Hereford and graduated from Hereford High School in 1999, where he lettered in tennis. He was also involved in forensics and academic decathlon. Mr. Lyles was a full-time college student at WTAMU and was majoring in computer systems. He was a member of Alpha Chi. He married Kristin Dailey in Las Vegas on May 14, 2003. In addition to college, he worked full time at Hastings as a computer security administrator. Survivors include his wife; his parents, Charles and Evelyn Lyles of Amarillo; a brother, Christopher Lyles and wife, Christina, of Fort Collins, Colo.; his grandparents, Euman Lyles and Genevieve Kuper, both of Amarillo; his parents- in-law, Tim and Debbie Dailey of Dalhart; a nephew and niece, Ethan and Clair Lyles of Fort Collins; and numerous aunts and uncles. Burial will be private in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Hall was born Dec. 18, 1934, in Lawton, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Hall. Survivors include two sons, Glen Evens Hall and wife, Peggy, of Amarillo and Dr. Jerry Hall of Dallas; two grandsons, Clint and Sergei Hall; two sisters, Naomi Heckman of Walsenburg, Colo., and Alice Wilson of Lockney; a brother, Wayne Stephens of Pampa; and multiple friends and relatives. "Windy" Wood, 84, of Amarillo, formerly of Claude, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Claude Cemetery in Claude with the Rev. Lance Wood officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Wood loved music. His greatest love in life was recording and sharing his new musical creations with friends and family. Windy loved people and enjoyed talking and visiting with everyone. He knew people from all over the world through his music and enjoyed keeping in touch with them through mail and telephone. He was a man that called everyone friend, even people he had never met, he considered all friends. Windy loved his family; they were very important to him. He loved to tell people about his 56-year marriage to his wife, Veral Lynn. "Not many musicians live with the same woman that long," he'd say. Windy received a lot of joy playing and doing specials for church groups. In later years, he volunteered for rest homes, where he played and sang. He always felt so blessed to be able to entertain the elderly and shut-ins. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jo Carolyn Bailey of Pampa; a son, Jerry Glenn Wood of Sturgis, S.D.; five grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Lopez was born July 17, 1981, in Hereford to Jose Guadalupe Lopez Sr. and Hortencia Hernandez. He was a member of La Iglesia de San Jose. Survivors include his parents; a brother, Joel Lopez of Hereford; two sisters, Dalia Lopez and Delia Lopez, both of Hereford; and his grandparents, Policarpio and Olivia Hernandez of Hereford and Maria Inez Lopez of San Benito. He married Leah "Cookie" Fowler in Amarillo on July 14, 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Thelma Blakley.
