Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Robert Field, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Mrs. Talley was born in Germany. She married Oliver Talley in 1953 in Trier, Germany. She moved to the U.S. in 1954 and had lived in Amarillo since 1960. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, Werner Talley of Canyon; a sister, Ursula Bendel of Duisburg, Germany; and a grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Christian Church with Dr. James Cobb, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Huckabay was born Feb. 17, 1916, in Gomez to William Walter and Mary Elizabeth Hodges Spears. She moved with her family early in life to a farm near Matador, where she attended school. She loved the Texas Panhandle and spent most of her adult life in Amarillo. She married Louis Conrad Huckabay on Aug. 14, 1937. She was a faithful member of First Christian Church and Loyalty Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1969; her parents; a brother; three sisters; and a grandson, Ted Clay. Survivors include five children, Virginia Fuller of Richmond, Va., Don C. Huckabay and wife, Kathryn, of Pearland, and Tony Huckabay and wife, Jo Jean, Jerry Huckabay and wife, Lanell, and Wade Huckabay and wife, Terry, all of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great- grandchildren. Mrs. Steiert was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Paducah. She married Pete Steiert on March 26, 1946, in Nazareth. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Janis McAdams of Ropesville and Theresa Fleischman of Wisconsin; two sons, Jim Steiert of Hereford and Patrick Steiert of DeSoto; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Sam Minshew of Ridgecrest, Calif. The family suggests memorials be to Holy Family Catholic Church in Nazareth or a favorite charity. Mrs. Holiman was born Feb. 10, 1919, in McKinney. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a son, Clinton Holiman of Dalhart; two daughters, Vergie Prince of Fort Worth and Charlene Fore of Childress; two sisters, Willie Rodriguez of Lubbock and Mary Hoover of Northfield; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Adams Funeral Home. Mrs. Godbey was born July 31, 1904, in Brown County to John T. Gafford and Lue C. Payne Gafford. She married John Ray Godbey in 1923 in Wellington. Survivors include three sons, Troy Godbey of Dumas, J.R. Godbey of Zellwood, Fla., and Jerry Godbey on Boynton Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Erma Rigdon of Amarillo and Betty Tipton of Quail; two brothers, Bert Gafford of Center and Monroe Gafford of Elgin; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Wellington Cemetery Association or First Baptist Church. Clay Jr., 48, died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Eastside Church of Christ. Burial will be in Elmhurst Cemetery by Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home. Mr. Clay attended the Yarbrough school system, graduating in 1975. He had been employed by Wego Services, retiring in May 2003. Survivors include his mother, Della Jo Clay of Guymon; and five sisters, Carolyn Barker of Sayre, Okla., Donna Glover, Debbie Costner and Carla Seymour, all of Guymon, and June Rose of Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Texico Cemetery by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Moore was born June 21, 1950, in Clovis. He married Louisa Flowers on June 20, 1981. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Katherine Just of North Pole, Alaska, and Stephanie Fischer of Moriarty, N.M.; a son, Sean Flowers of Clovis; his mother, Georgian Moore of Clovis; four brothers, Barry of Lubbock, and Jeff, Bill and Thom, all of Clovis; and four grandchildren.
