Nail Joseph H. Nail, 81, of Amarillo died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church with Charles Meyer, pastor, officiating. Private burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St. Mr. Nail was born in Bell County on April 11, 1923. He graduated from Temple High School in 1941. He played on the varsity football team. He married Nora Tiemann on Sept. 1, 1945, in Topeka, Kan. Mr. Nail worked for Santa Fe Railroad, retiring in 1983. At the time, he was superintendent of communications. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, where he served as an usher for many years. Joe's clever sense of humor and storytelling ability will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1988; his parents; and a brother. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Gentry and husband, Brad, of Amarillo; two sons, Jim Nail and wife, Dorothy of Carol Stream, Ill., and John Nail and wife, Norma, of Greeley, Colo.; a granddaughter, Sarah Nail of Boston; and a sister, Emily Garrett of Brownwood. The family suggests memorials be to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 3500 S. Bowie St., Amarillo, TX 79109. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Bremer was born Aug. 1, 1908, in Stamford. She was a homemaker and a Christian. Mrs. Bremer married Harry A. Bremer on June 8, 1936. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 13, 1992; a daughter, Dorothy Jo Holland, on June 13, 1992; a grandson, David Holland; two sisters, Monnie Cooley and Lucille Fortenberry; and a brother, Ray Alvin Dodson. Survivors include a son, Cecil Ray Holland of Laconia, N.H.; two grandsons, Cecil Wayne Mueller of Amarillo and Steve Holland; three great-grandsons, Kenneth Dean Mueller, Joseph Holland and Michael Holland; and a great- granddaughter, Lori Jean Law. She married Oliver Talley in 1953 in Trier, Germany. She moved to the U.S. in 1954 and had lived in Amarillo since 1960. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, Werner Talley of Canyon; a sister, Ursula Bendel of Duisburg, Germany; and a grandson. Mrs. Bouchelle was born May 8, 1915, in Loco to Clarence Terry and Lena McKinney Terry. She married Pat Bouchelle on March 27, 1942, in Dallas. Survivors include a son, Terry Bouchelle of Lewisville; two daughters, Patricia Rhoades of Lubbock and Jennifer Havens of Booker; three sisters, Nell Burch of Dallas and Helen Boston and Flo Whitmore, both of Lewisville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home. Mr. Wills was born to Charlie Nelson and Nola Bell Davis Wills on Jan. 15, 1911, in Aquilla. R.W. worked as a dirt contractor for many years. He married Muriel Parvins on Sept. 3, 1934, in Oklahoma. R.W. and his family moved to Dalhart in 1946. He was a member of the Dalhart Elks. He loved baseball, football and basketball. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; seven brothers; and a sister. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Gibson of Kingwood; two sons, Keith Wills of Edmond, Okla., and Bill Wills of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, H.J. "Harry" Wills of Stockton, Calif.; two sisters, Marie Francois of Bakersfield, Calif., and Artie Lee Rich of Cisco; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor, and the Rev. C.W. Parker, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Greene was born Nov. 5, 1936, in Pampa, where he had been a lifelong resident. He was a 1955 graduate of Pampa High School, where he played football and ran track. He married Kathleen Dodds on March 6, 1959, in Pampa. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and was a longtime Gray County farmer and rancher. He was a Gray County commissioner from 1986 until 2002. He was a former director of the Top O' Texas Rodeo Association and former Kid Pony Show chairman for many years. He was an organizer and president of the Top O' Texas Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Cowboys. He was a volunteer for Pampa Meals on Wheels, former member of the White Deer Land Museum Board and was Top O' Texas Livestock Show superintendent for 20 years. He was past president of the Gray County Farm Bureau and was a veteran of the Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Greene; a brother, Hunky Greene; and a sister, Betty Goode. Survivors include his wife; a son, Thad Greene and wife, Tammy, of Wisdom, Mont.; two daughters, Jamie Greene of Pampa and Amie Reid and husband, Ben, of Amarillo; a brother, Dick Greene of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Nellie McDonough of Happy; eight grandchildren, Cecilia Evans and husband, Clint, of College Station, Casey Coleman and Cody Lee, both of Pampa, Keeley Reid and Corben Reid, both of Amarillo, and Bobby Ka Greene, Sally Mae Greene and Annie Greene, all of Wisdom; two nieces, Tammy Didway and husband, Chris, and Tammy Greene, all of Pampa; a nephew, Will Greene of Pampa; and several other nieces, nephews and extended family. Mrs. Lira married Aurelio Lira Sr. on July 7, 1959. She was a homemaker. Services were at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Mark Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Quail and the Rev. George Borghardt III officiating. Arrangements were by Cashner Funeral Home. Mrs. Foerster was born in a two-room farm house near Olney on Jan. 28, 1926. After growing up in various Texas communities and graduating from high school in Lubbock in 1943, Mrs. Foerster attended St. John's Lutheran College in Winfield, Kan. She later graduated from Texas Technological College in 1947 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She faithfully served her husband of 57 years, children, grandchildren, and her Lord Jesus as a full- time homemaker until the time of her death. Mrs. Foerster was actively engaged in various artistic pursuits, such as quilting, needlepoint, and antique restoration. She was an active member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Conroe. She was also very proud to be a great- great-granddaughter of John Killian, the founding Wendish pastor of the first Lutheran congregation in Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Leo Kunkel and Frieda Regina Kaiser Kunkel. Survivors include her husband, Leroy; two sons, Larry Foerster and wife, Martha, of Conroe and Keith Foerster and wife, Cathy, of Anchorage; a daughter, Karen Blake and husband, Johnny, of Conroe; brother, Calvin Kunkel and wife, Billie, of Amarillo; grandchildren, Kyle Blake and wife, Kendell, of Anaheim Hills, Calif., Patrick Blake of Abilene, Dawn Blake, Emily Foerster and Daniel Foerster, all of Conroe, Kenny Foerster of Seattle, and Nate Foerster of Anchorage; and numerous other family members and friends. He worked for Santa Fe Railway as a yard master until his retirement.
