Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. The Rev. Bill Nickell of First Assembly of God Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Montano moved to Amarillo in 1969 from Odessa. She owned and operated Mrs. Burger on the corner of 15th Avenue and Mirror Street for more than 30 years. She was known to all the kids at Palo Duro for the last 25 years as Mrs. Burger. She married Mike Montano on Feb. 26, 1988, in Amarillo. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Canyon. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Dorothy Burt of Amarillo and April McNabb of Harleton; two sons, William "Bill" Burt and Don Burt, both of Amarillo; a sister, Mary Dean Belt of Slaton; 11 grandchildren; 26 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She and her husband, Cecil, owned Cecil Steakhouse for years. She was preceded in death by a son, Bill D. Killough; and her husband. Osage St. Mrs. Fulks was born in Cumby. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She married Leonard Fulks in 1935 in Briscoe and moved to Amarillo in 1966. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Hartzell, in 2001. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Nelda Brooks of Amarillo and Mickie Johnson of Channing; a son, Noah Fulks of Amarillo; two sisters, Lois Hudson of Amarillo and Margie Meadows of Wheeler; a brother, E.T. Services will be in Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown with transportation arrangements by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Burial will be in Rosewood Park Cemetery in Humble. Mrs. Stevens was born Oct. 14, 1914, in Humble. A long-time Baytown resident, she lived in Amarillo for 16 years after residing in Livingston for 14 when her husband retired from Exxon. She married her high school sweetheart, Clyde A. Stevens, in Humble. They were married 62 years before he passed away in 1997 at the age of 84. Their love and devotion to each other was an inspiration not only to their daughters, but to all who knew them. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Baytown. Her church life held a special place in her heart. She was a member of the choir and decorated for all the activities in the church. She had a wonderful creative talent that kept her active also in her children's and grandchildren's lives. She truly enjoyed her grandchildren. She enjoyed being a school bus driver during the 1960s, and then became a beautician, retiring at age 60. Survivors include four daughters, Jan Huey and husband, James, of Amarillo, Jackie Eaton of Baytown, Donna Robertson and husband, Robby, of San Leon and Wendy Stevens of Houston; a sister, Verna Lee Bandy of Humble; five grandchildren, Mark Huey of Amarillo, Jay Huey and wife, Mary Kate, of Canyon, Jerry Huey of Dallas, and Robin Perkins and Janna Clayton, both of Baytown; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Calvin Sparks and wife, Anna Pearl, of Texas City. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis. Mrs. Riddlespurger was born on March 27, 1946, in Memphis. She lived in Hedley for 13 years and worked at the T.L. Roach Unit in Childress. Mrs. Stewart was born Jan. 14, 1924, in Coffeyville, Kan., and had been a resident of Quanah since 1945. She married Austin Lee Stewart on Feb. 1, 1944. Mr. Hood was married to Ruby Alice French until her death in 1978. He later married Rosemary Belford in 1979 and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ted Hood and wife, Jill L., of Houston and Jimmy Joe Belford and wife, Connie, of Boise City; and five grandchildren. She was instrumental in the development of music ministries in numerous Lutheran churches. Burial will be in the family plot in Mosquero Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home. Mr. Melton was born Feb. 19, 1981, in Alamogordo. Survivors include his mother, Barbara June Melton of Roy; his father, Randy Melton of Rio Rancho; and three brothers, Richard Cook, Randy Melton Jr., and Chris Melton, all of Alamogordo. Amarillo Globe-News, Oct. 9, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fred Henley CLOVIS, N.M. - Fred Henley, 68, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, in Lubbock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Muffley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Dawson officiating. Mr. Henley was born Jan. 27, 1936, to Earnest Fredrick and Vera Lucile Jones Henley in Carrizozo. He was the second child of six. His father was a railroad worker, and his mother was a homemaker. Fred entered Fort Stanton Institution in 1950. In 1975, he was transferred to the ENMRSH program. He lived in Fort Sumner and in 1989 moved to Santa Rosa. In 1994, he settled in Clovis. He loved country music and his favorite movie star was John Wayne. Fred was loved by many and will be missed sorely. Friends said he was a gentleman in all respects who had a great sense of humor. He had a positive attitude and was easy to get along with. He is preceded in death by his parents, his older brothers and a sister. Survivors include his brother, Robert Henley of Las Cruces. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Guadalupe with the Rev. Sotero Sena officiating. Burial will be at Mission Garden of Memories by Muffley Funeral Home. Jose was born Jan. 27, 2001, to Jose Maria Perez-Aguilera and Irma Elsa Jimenez in El Paso, Texas. He came to Clovis in 2002 and attended Our Lady of Guadalupe. His is preceded in death by an aunt, Susie Avalos. Survivors include his mother of Clovis; his father of Kansas; two brothers, Jorge Luis Perez and Juan Carlos Perez, both of Clovis; his grandmother, Yolanda Avalos Garcia; and his grandfathers, Faustino Najera and Jose Maria Perez .
