Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street, with Chip "Trip" Watson of Soldiers for Christ officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. McMorries was born July 16, 1941, in Shamrock to Howard Franklin and Anne Elizabeth Gargis Franklin. A few years later, the family moved to Amarillo. Bettye worked in the insurance business as a claims tech. She worked for Comco Insurance for 25 years and for Farmland/Nationwide for 15 years. Bettye was an artist and a seamstress. She also loved to quilt. She was preceded in death by a son, Walter Randolph. Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie Randolph and boyfriend, William Viles, of Borger and Annette Montano and husband, Paul, of Amarillo; two sisters, Sallye J. Hughes St. Mr. Gray was born Nov. 23, 1925, in Carthage. He attended public school in Henderson. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy. He was a professional tailor and worked for the Palm Springs, Calif., school district. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Tarr was born in Barney, N.D., and later moved to Amarillo in 1949. He was loved by many and will be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Florence Tarr, in July 2003. A memorial service and celebration of Marshall's life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with Lynn Garrett officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Van Dyke was born in Wichita Falls. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1962 and attended Amarillo College. He worked in the commercial real estate industry for more than 35 years in the Dallas area. Marshall's expertise was in research and acquisition, and he was one of the greatest negotiators in the business. Being a connoisseur of music, his love and knowledge of music were engrained in his heart and soul. Perhaps the most special quality about Marshall was his love for his friends and maintaining lifelong friendships. He loved high school and college football and was an avid Texas Longhorn fan. Marshall was very active in the Palo Duro High School Alumni Association and was responsible for the production of a beautiful memory book for his class of 1962's 40th class reunion. He was a veteran in the Army, stationed in Korea. One of his duties included serving as a disc jockey. Marshall was a Baptist. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into his heart when he was 12 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Van Dyke; a brother, David Van Dyke; and a sister, Cheryl Clark. Survivors include two daughters, Heather Clarke of Amarillo and Cara Marchando of Petaluma, Calif.; three granddaughters, McKenna Clarke, Tamara Marchando and Krista Marchando; his special friend and caretaker, Cora LaGrone of Amarillo; three nieces and a nephew. She had lived many years in Childress, Vega and Adrian, where she was an active member of the Amarillo Garden Club, PTA and school activities. She was an active member in the Methodist church. Her family was involved in farming and ranching. She was a homemaker and loved gardening. She married Bill Leslie in 1936 at Hollis, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979 and two sisters, Cleo and Helen. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Glazier Cemetery. Mr. Spencer was born Oct. 17, 1959, in Amarillo. He loved the rodeo and was a cowboy at heart. He was preceded in death by his father, Markham Spencer and his grandparents, Annie and Clint Wright. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Joan and Lewis Stovall of San Marcos; a sister, Cindy Taylor of Algood, Tenn.; three stepsisters, Cindy Wolf, Sheri Christianson and Lisa Preston; two nieces; two nephews; a great- niece; and a great-nephew. Wade Sr. PANHANDLE - L.J. Wade Sr., 77, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Fuller, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley. Arrangements are by Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle. Casket bearers will be Richard Robinson, Gary McGowen, Richard Valenzuela, Mark Lycan, Mark Figueroa and John Wade. Mr. Wade was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Hedley and had been a Panhandle resident since 1968. He graduated from Hedley High School in 1944, drove a Coca Cola truck in 1946 and 1947, was a carpenter for Phillips Petroleum Co. from 1949 to 1968 and also worked as a remodeling contractor in the Borger area. He opened OTASCO Home and Auto Store in Panhandle in October 1968. In 1984, he won OTASCO's Associate Dealer of the Year award. Later the name was changed to Coast to Coast Home & Auto, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2002 because of declining health. He previously attended Bunavista Baptist Church in Borger and, at the time of his death, was a member of First Baptist Church. While working for Phillips Petroleum, Mr. Wade was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 351 in Borger. As a businessman, Mr. Wade was previously a member of the Panhandle Rotary Club and the Panhandle Chamber of Commerce. He married Mary Ellen Floyd in Shamrock on June 17, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents, V. F. and Iola Elizabeth Wade; a daughter, Bonnie Eileen; and two grandsons, Kelly Lynn Goswick and Ricky Alan McGowen. Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Arthur Cemetery in Arthur, Ill., followed by a memorial service at Jonathan Creek Christian Church near Sullivan, Ill. Arrangements are by Downing and Lahey Mortuary East. Mrs. McColl was a homemaker and a gracious servant of the Lord. She was a resident of Amarillo, Texas, from 1961 to 1969. She was born Jan. 17, 1905, on the family farm in Jonathan Creek Township, Moultrie County, Ill., to William Samuel and Gertie A. Purvis Elder. She earned a teacher certificate from Eastern Illinois State Teachers College, attended Eureka College and the University of Illinois. She was united in marriage to the Rev. Duncan D. McColl on Oct. 14, 1930, in Jonathan Creek Christian Church, where they had met while the Rev. McColl was the student minister. They shared together in Christian ministry in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and finally at Pleasant Valley Christian Church in Amarillo. While in Amarillo, she was active in women's work and ministries to children in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Amarillo Church Women United and Garden Club of Amarillo. She moved to Wichita following her husband's death in 1968. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Alma Elder; and a brother and sister-in-law, William and Frances Elder. Survivors include her children, Margaret G. Blome and husband, Robert C., of Indianapolis, Martha Janet Boyle and husband, William A., of Wichita, Dougald L. McColl and wife, J.
