Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Monsignor Ray Crosier officiating. Internment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum. Mrs. Hefner was the daughter of Ophelia and Ursel Valentine. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1950. After attending Amarillo College for two years, Patsy received her laboratory technician certificate and worked for both Drs. John and Richard Archer in their offices. Co-owner of Omni-Ag Distributors, Patsy actively ran the office and shop for 10 years. In addition, Patsy was an active member of St. Joseph's Parish, holding membership in St. Rita's Circle and the Carmelites of St. Joseph's this past year. Family came first and foremost to Patsy. A loving wife to Dale for 40 years, she was always there as friend and confidante to her husband and each of her children. We all went to Omi in the best of times and the worst of times. No matter how bright or bleak the moment, Omi had the perfect words for the occasion. We shall miss her more than words can ever say. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mary Vanek, Jennifer Williams and Debra Moore, all of Amarillo; three sons, Joel Hefner of Leander and Guy Hefner and Jimmy Dale Hefner, both of Amarillo; and 11 grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Christian Life Center with the Rev. Alfred Vargas and the Rev. Sergio Vaquera officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Rivera was preceded in death by his wife, Ana Maria Rivera in 2000 and a daughter, Antonia Jimenez in 1982. Survivors include two daughters, Imelda Vidaurre of Pampa and Letty Rivera of Mexico; six sons, Rogelio Rivera of Vega, Raul Rivera, Daniel Rivera and Gabriel Rivera, all of Amarillo, Ruben Rivera of Pampa and Socorro Rivera Jr. of Kermit; a brother, Jose Rivera of Mexico; 21 grandchildren; and a great- grandchild. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. James Collins, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Warford-Walker Mortuary, 509 N. Hughes St. Mr. Gray was born Nov. 23, 1925, in Carthage. He attended public school in Henderson. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy. He was a professional tailor and worked for the Palm Springs, Calif., school district. He was preceded in death by his parents, O. Birtis Gray and Cleo Malone, and a brother, John Howard Malone. Survivors include a daughter, Jenell Gray of Palm Springs; a brother, Willie Malone of Oakland, Calif.; eight sisters, Gloria Scott of Borger, Betty Scott, Carolyn Moore and Ruby Spencer, all of Amarillo, Sherlene Elders and Willene Gray, both of Houston, Jacklyn Gray of San Francisco and Mary Helen Johnson of Henderson; and a special niece, Debra Malone. "Sonny" Chaparro, 76, of Amarillo died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in N.S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Chaparro was born in Fort Bagard, N.M., to Jose and Ana Chaparro. He married the love of his life, Aurora Leija on Feb. 4, 1951, in San Antonio. Mr. Chaparro joined the Air Force in 1945 and served in World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. During that time, he received an Accommodation Medal, National Defense Medal and several Good Conduct Medals. He was discharged in 1968 after 23 years of service. Mr. Chaparro worked for Bell Helicopter for 20 years, where he received a certificate of appreciation. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1995; his parents; a brother, Orlando Chaparro; a son, W.G. Chaparro Jr.; a daughter, Maria L. Chaparro; a granddaughter, Andrea M. Kinikin; a grandson, Joshua L. Chaparro; and two sons-in-law, Joe Molina and Victor Kinikin. Survivors include two daughters, Dolores M. Chaparro of Clovis, N.M., and Frances Kinikin of Panhandle; two sons, David Lee Chaparro and Daniel Chaparro, both of Amarillo; a brother, Ray Chaparro of Los Angeles; three sisters, Velma Silva and Theresa Chaparro, both of Albuquerque, N.M., and Nellie Campbell of Arrey, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Howard K. Batson officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Belle Plaine, Kan. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mrs. Hill was born and raised in Kansas and received a voice scholarship to Wichita University. She married Rolla Hill in 1948 in San Antonio, and they moved to Amarillo in 1949. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone in San Antonio as well as in Amarillo. She was a homemaker and was a volunteer for Rainbow Girls. She was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for more than 70 years. Mrs. Hill was a member of First Baptist Church since 1950 and sang in the choir for many years. Survivors include her husband; a son, Kenneth Hervey and wife, Ada, of Bell Plaine; four grandsons, Alan Hervey and James Hervey and wife, Tracy, all of Belle Plaine, Kerry Hervey and wife, Sheila, of South Haven, Kan., and Ray Hervey and wife, Tina, of Puyallup, Wash.; 12 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Lieb was born July 7, 1933, in Camargo, Okla. She was a Dumas resident most of her life. She was a member of Church of the Nazarene. She was a longtime bookkeeper for Memorial Hospital in Dumas. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Stefan Lieb and two sisters, Colleen Curtis and Irene Cardwell. Survivors include a daughter, Susan Stowers and husband, Bobby, of Sayre, Okla.; three grandchildren, Justin, Tracy and Tammy; and six great- grandchildren. Services were held Sunday in Capps Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Plainview Cemetery in Plainview. Mrs. Poovey died Friday in Tyler after a long battle with cancer. Survivors include three daughters: Theda Tate and husband, Orphus, of Fairfield, Sylvia Bockelman of Los Angeles and Linda Moore and husband, Gary, of Vega. Mr. Rupp was born Dec. 26, 1921, in Casper, Wyo., to Elmer Clifford Rupp and Gladys Day Rupp. He married Mildred Joyce Russell on July 5, 1946, in Pampa.
