Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in San Jacinto United Methodist Church with Travis Jordan and Chad Horton officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Jordan was a longtime resident of Amarillo. The youngest child of A.P. "Buck" and Minnie Bell Miller, she was born Dec. 30, 1910, in Henrietta. The family moved to Amarillo in 1922. She attended Amarillo High School and Business College. She was married in 1930 to Frank T. Jordan. Maurine will be remembered by many as one of the original members of San Jacinto United Methodist Church and as a charter member of the Amarillo chapter of ABWA Business Club, where she served as president and Woman of the Year in 1974. She was a faithful, loving and creative person who was able to take whatever situation life presented her with and make it seem the very best place to be at the time. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1991; and a son, Troy Lee in 1966. Survivors include a son, Travis E. Jordan of Dallas; a daughter-in-law, Juana Joy Jordan of Galveston; and six grandchildren and their extended families. Knutson, 46, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Coy Wylie, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be private. Mr. Knutson was born Dec. 3, 1958, to James and Jean Knutson. He loved people and enjoyed going to Amarillo Botanical Gardens and fishing. He attended Paramount Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Kathryn Knutson, on Aug. 15, 2004. Survivors include his father, James "Jim" Knutson of Amarillo; two sisters, Linda Burkett and husband, Glenn, of Amarillo and Carolyn Shannon and husband, Ray, of Boerne; and two nieces, Mandy Shannon and Mendy Shannon. "Pete" Cook, 85, of Amarillo died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fairview Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Cliff Houghton and the Rev. Gary Cook officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mr. Cook was born to James F. and Effie Lee Cook on April 6, 1919, in Calvin, Okla. He married Dorothy Blevins on Nov. 20, 1937, in Holdenville, Okla. Survivors include his wife; a son, Travis Cook and wife, Angela, of Calera, Okla.; three daughters, Ruby Parks and husband, David, of Grandview, Mo., Sharon Swenson and husband, Ken, of Sun City, Ariz., and Wanda Helton and husband, Bobby, of Hugoton, Kan.; a sister, Geraldine Elliott of Lodi, Calif.; a brother, Amis Cook of Mathes; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Georgia St. Mrs. Miller was born in Cumby to Horace and Lena Speed. She was a member of Paramount Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband, T.O. Miller on May 31, 1989; and a daughter, Brenda Miller on Dec. 7, 1983. He owned and operated Brewer Auto in Memphis for 50 years. Mrs. Nicholas was born Oct. 8, 1930, in Paris. She was in child care for 15 years. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Parkside Chapel Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joe Shultz officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Resthaven Cemetery in Quitaque. Mrs. Middleton was born Sept. 7, 1907, in Elkton, Mo., the daughter of Henry and Belle Davis. She married Bill Middleton on Jan. 27, 1927, in Quitaque. Mrs. Middleton was a very active volunteer in Amarillo for many years, and in 1997 received the "Woman of the Year" award from Amarillo San Jacinto United Methodist Church. Mrs. Middleton was a member of Amarillo Interest Unlimited Club for several years, was a 50-year member of the Amarillo Eastern Star and was a 56-year member of Amarillo San Jacinto United Methodist Church. At 90 years of age, Mrs. Middleton still enjoyed baking cakes for the "old" folks and was always a gracious host. She was preceded in death by her husband; and a grandson, Scott Middleton. Survivors include a son, Gerald Middleton and wife, Linda, of Arvada, Colo.; a daughter, Jo Ann Bulls and husband, Glenn, of Earth; a sister, Marie Anderson of Fletcher, Okla.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Texhoma Cemetery by Dawson-Welch Funeral Home. Mr. Harland was born Dec. 7, 1940, in Texhoma. He married Patsy Marie Hess on Nov. 24, 1965, in Texhoma. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kori Harland of Hennessey; two sons, Marc Harland and Tim Harland, both of Buffalo; a brother, Claude Harland of Canadian, Texas; and three grandchildren. Burial will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas, by Good Samaritan Funeral Service. Mrs. Boomer was born Aug. 22, 1907, in Clarendon, Texas. She married Bert Martin on Aug. 26, 1932, in Clarendon. Survivors include a son, Lynn Boomer of Shattuck; a daughter, Margaret Jo Oliver of Springer; two sisters, Julia Catherine Murphy of Amarillo and Dorothy Jo Gibson of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren.
