Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Leon Green, pastor of Bolton Street Baptist Church, and Robert Field, former pastor, officiating. Mrs. Averett was born Oct. 15, 1940, in Alanreed to Ollin and Opal Stapp. She married Paul Averett on Feb. 12, 1961, in Alanreed. Wanda was a caring homemaker for her family. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Judy Averett of Amarillo and Karen Beck and husband, Thomas, of Italy; and two sons, Ken Averett and Craig Averett, both of Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Dr. Dana Moore, pastor of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, and the Rev. Rudy Fambrough, pastor of Ridgemont Baptist Church in Abilene, officiating. Burial will be Llano Cemetery. Mr. McCoy was a 1962 graduate of Palo Duro High School. He married his wife Delores Daniels on April 2, 1966, in Amarillo. Harold worked 35 years for Merchants Fast Motor Lines in Amarillo and Abilene. After their closing, he was employed for Texas Department of Criminal Justice with the Robertson Unit in Abilene and the Clements Unit in Amarillo. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and a former member of Ridgemount Baptist Church in Abilene. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Imogene McCoy; and a brother Wayne McCoy. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bryce McCoy and wife, Tonya, of Amarillo and Danny McCoy and wife, April, of Keller; a sister, Juanita Carroll of Amarillo; two brothers, Billy McCoy and Vicky, and Richard Daniels and wife, Kay; five grandchildren, Danielle McCoy, Amanda McCoy, Gage McCoy, Jadyn Lynn McCoy and Megan Slater; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Prayer services were at 6 p.m. Tuesday in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church chapel with Monsignor Joseph Tash officiating. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. today in the church with Monsignor Joseph Tash officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Weir was born in Abilene to Henry G. and Mildred Weir. He graduated from Abilene High School. Mr. Weir then attended the University of New Mexico and McMurray College. He served in the Navy during World War II. Mr. Weir married Mary Frances Smith in Abilene on Sept. 22, 1947. He was the owner and broker of Globe Real Estate in Amarillo until his retirement. He was a past president of Amarillo Board of Realtors, volunteered as a member of St. Anthony's Hospital Auxiliary and was also a HOSTS mentor. Mr. Weir was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife on May 21, 1997. Wilson, 96, of Amarillo died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in Covenant Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Wilson was born Dec. 30, 1907, in Haskell. Following his graduation from Austin College in Sherman in 1929, he taught school in Breckenridge. Henry married Galen Robertson, his childhood sweetheart in 1932. They moved to Amarillo in 1936, where he was district manager of Texas Employers Insurance Association until his retirement in 1973. After Galen's death in 1975, he married longtime friend Lucille Quick. Mr. Wilson was a lifelong Presbyterian. He taught Sunday school for many years and was elder emeritus at Covenant Presbyterian Church. He was an active member of Amarillo Gideon Camp for more than 50 years, serving as president in the 1950s. If you ever met Henry, you would likely never forget him. Always eager to know about you, Henry loved people and people loved him back. At first meeting he would probably ask you about yourself, your family and if you had a dog, but most importantly he would ask if you knew the Lord. Henry was a man of deep character and strong leadership. Rare was the day that he didn't wake to read Scripture. Not only did he read it, he lived it, thus earning the title in his family, "The Patriarch." He was a father to more than just his own, a devoted husband, wonderful caretaker, excellent encourager and incredible friend. Passionate for life and fueled by his humor even in the mundane, Henry was loved by all. We will miss him deeply. The family would like to thank the members of Covenant Presbyterian Church and other dear friends for their loving care and prayers. He was preceded in death by his wives. She had worked as a legal secretary and librarian. She was treasurer for NWT/NM Credit Union from 1975 until retiring in 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Clarendon. Mrs. Cook was born March 7, 1922, in Fort Sumner to the home of Joe and Liccie Bowlin. She was reared and attended schools in Fort Sumner. She married R.J. Cook on Dec. 16, 1939, in Fort Sumner. Margueritte worked alongside her husband in the family businesses in Fort Sumner for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Sumner. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2002; her parents; and a brother, Joe Bowlin. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda J. Stockton and husband, Ben, of Portales; a son, Gary W.
