Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Robertson Funeral Directors Chapel of Memories in Clarendon with the Rev. Bryan Knowles, pastor of Community Fellowship Church in Clarendon, officiating. Burial will be in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon. Mr. Glisson was born Feb. 18, 1914, in Kermit and came to New Mexico with his family in 1916. He married Ethel Cleo Garrison on Aug. 9, 1937, in Clovis, N.M. Together they worked on various ranches in the Texas Panhandle and Eastern New Mexico. He retired from Dale and Sam Cluck ranches after 22 years. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Oscar Lee Glisson in 1957 and Wayne D. Glisson in 1998; two brothers; and two sisters. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Paula Hall of Amarillo; a son, J.A. Glisson and wife, Sharon, of Amarillo; two sisters, Zela Cortese of Fort Sumner, N.M., and Ruby Montgomery of Gonzales; 13 grandchildren; 38 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Casket bearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Dr. Chester O'Brien, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be at 9:15 a.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum. Mrs. Johns was born in Mountain View, Indian Territory, on June 18, 1903. She moved from Oklahoma to New Mexico via wagon where she lived in a dugout for several years. She graduated from high school in Pampa in 1924, where she met and married Charlie Rice. He preceded her in death in 1935. In 1938, she married David Johns. He died in 1980. Mrs. Johns was a long time member of First Baptist Church, where she worked for many years in the nursery. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by both husbands; a son, James F. Rice; and three grandchildren. Survivors include three sons, Clarence Rice and wife, Carolyn, of Ruidoso, N.M., David Johns and wife, Sylvia, of Peoria, Ariz., Darrell Johns and wife, Janice, of Amarillo; three daughters, Billie Story and husband, John, Rosemary Morrison and husband, Len, and Carole Laird, all of Amarillo; a sister, Lorene McCarty of Amarillo; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and six great- great grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 4, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Priscilla B. Heyrich Priscilla B. Heyrich, 80, of Amarillo died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Trinity United Methodist Church with Scott Richards, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Heyrich was born in Staten Island, N.Y. She moved to Amarillo 35 years ago from Dallas. She worked for Northwest Texas Hospital for 12 years. At the time of her retirement, she was the assistant to the nursing administrator. Mrs. Heyrich was called back to work for the nursing administrator twice after her retirement. Mrs. Heyrich was very active in all levels of United Methodist Women, including the state level. She was also very active in all levels of the League of Women Voters and served as treasurer. She enjoyed the symphony and orchestra music, and attending various lectures. She married the love of her life, Fred Heyrich, on Jan. 21, 1952, in Staten Island. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Elisa Pardo and husband, Kenneth, of Moscow, Russia, and Carla King and husband, Jerry, of New Haven, Conn.; a sister, Carol Shumacker of Pocono, Pa.; two grandchildren, Benjamin King of New Haven and Julia Pardo of Moscow. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Kent moved from Oakland, Calif., to Amarillo more than 40 years ago. He last worked as a truck driver for Harold's Farmers Market for six years. Mr. Kent was a World War II Navy veteran and served on P.T. boats in the South Pacific. He was a disabled veteran and a member of Top of Texas AA Group. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Hunt; a daughter, Ann Panoch of Dayton, Ohio; a sister, Geraldine Beavers of Amarillo; a grandchild; four great- grandchildren; and two cousins, Coleen Kent Kindred of Amarillo and Marge Kent Rosen of Sarasota, Calif. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church of Canyon with the Rev. Dr. Don McDonald, pastor, officiating. Burial was Wednesday in Mountain Park Cemetery in Saint Jo by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon. Mr. Marsh died Oct. 31, 2004, in Amarillo. He was born to Hiliary and Lyda Marsh on Nov. 22, 1933, in Nowata, Okla. He attended public schools in Nowata, Electra and Saint Jo. In 1975, he moved to Canyon and later to Amarillo. Mr. Marsh was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Canyon. He loved his church and its members. His 'hobby' was to travel to area cities for shopping and visiting with people in the stores. He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece. Survivors include a sister, Patsy Gaston and husband, James, of Grandview; a brother, Fred Marsh of Amarillo; two nephews, Russell Gaston of Shreveport, La., and Ross Gaston of Grandview; two neices, Rosalyn Gaston of Houston and Robin Merkel of Hillsboro; and three cousins, Kay Arther of Abilene, Dr. Charles Martin and wife, Marge, of Perry, Okla., and Jo Ann Blackwelder of Stillwater, Okla. Mrs. Taylor was born May 23, 1916, in Garza County, to Leonard A. and Nettie Wilks Barrow. She attended Wayland Baptist College and West Texas State Teachers College. She married H. B. Taylor Jr., on Oct. 3, 1937. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 3, 2003. Survivors include two daughters, Lou Ann Hiatt of Kuna, Idaho, and Kathy Davis of Spring; a son, Leonard Taylor of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Perser of Fort Worth. Mrs. Kelley was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Vasco. She married Everett Crayton Kelley on March 6, 1943, in Quanah. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Williamson of Quanah and Marie Greenwood of Wichita Falls; three sons, Ralph Kelley and Elvin Kelley, both of Quanah, and Everett William Kelley of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Huddleston worked as an LVN for Pampa Nursing Center for 27 years and for St. Ann's Nursing Home in Panhandle for 10 years. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Cunningham was born July 9, 1930, in Wellington, to Roy and Beulah Derryberry Cunningham. He married Mary Ann Hunter on April 29, 1956, in Wellington. Mr. Cunningham had lived in Shamrock sine 1974. He worked for Tyler Electric and Cable TV in Wellington. Mr. Cunningham was a veteran, having served in the National Guard. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Melanie King and Patty Flowers, both of Shamrock, and Becky Henshaw of Broken Arrow, Okla.; six grandchildren, Marissa King, Ethan King, McKenzie King, Haley Henshaw, Matthew Flowers and Molli B. Mrs. Novak was born Feb. 29, 1984, in Grayling, Mich. She married Edward Novak II on July 12, 2003, at Cannon Air Force Base. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Rebecca Anne Novak of Cannon AFB; her parents, Donald and Patricia Bollman of Conway; a sister, Julie Bollman of Dubuque, Iowa.; and her grandmother, Harriette Bollman of Detroit. Survivors include three sons, Dee Hester of Pampa, Texas, the Rev. Richard Hester of Blacktown, Australia, and Dale Hester of Laverne; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Roach was born in Altus. She resided in Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was a loving "Mina" to her six granddaughters who will miss her very much. Survivors include her husband, Russell; a daughter, Tamela Brown of Oklahoma City; a son, Jamie Dean Knight of Oklahoma City; six granddaughters, Christina, Christine, Casandra, Brittany, Marlena and Kayla; two sisters, Beverly Pruitt of Amarillo and Donda Roach of Altus; and two brothers, Reggie Van Cleave of Amarillo and Kerry Van Cleave of Altus.
