Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Ron Kohler, pastor of Paramount Terrace Christian Church, and the Rev. Scott Davey, pastor of Grace Community Church, officiating. Burial will be private. Mr. Churchill was born Feb. 26, 1932, in New York to Gladys and Stanley Churchill. He was raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., and New Jersey and remained an avid New York Yankees fan all his life. He enlisted in the Air Force and served on a crash rescue boat in Korea. Later, while station at Amarillo Air Force Base, he met his wife of 50 years, Dana Woodburn Churchill. They were married June 5, 1954. He ran several businesses in Amarillo and served on the board of The Bivins Foundation. He has been a member of West Amarillo Christian Church, Trinity Fellowship and Grace Community Church. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife; a sister, Marion Leonardis of Brick Township, N.J.; his mother-in-law, Kate Moore; two daughters, Pamela Schwyzer and husband, Bet, of Northridge, Calif.; and Susan Lee and husband, Les, of Cypress; a son, Steve Churchill and wife, Patti, of Amarillo; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Francis Convent Chapel with the Most Reverend John W. Yanta, bishop, and the Most Reverend Leroy T. Matthiesen, bishop emeritus, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Sister Expedita was born on Aug. 14, 1915, in Oberegg, Kt. Appenzell, Switzerland. In her earlier years of consecrated life she worked in Amarillo, then was transferred to Panama, and worked as a dedicated teacher from 1945 until 1982. In 1983, she came back to the United States to work again as a teacher in Los Angeles, and finally came to Amarillo to retire. Survivors include her relatives from Switzerland and her Sister from St. Francis Convent. Hughes St. Mr. Fletcher was born in Winnsboro and was an Amarillo resident for more than 50 years. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Willie Fletcher Jr. of San Antonio; two daughters, Janice Duke of Kansas City, Mo., and Martha Jean Williams of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Bonnie Terry and Juanita McCoy, both of Amarillo; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Mr. Gray was born on April 1, 1952, in Wheeling, W.Va. He loved riding motorcycles. Ron worked at Wal-Mart after retiring from trucking. He was a Methodist. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with the Rev. Barry Owens, associate pastor of the First Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Pampa. Mrs. Rutledge was born April 7, 1932, in Childress County, Texas. She was a 1949 graduate of Kirkland High School where she was valedictorian. She married Billy Paul Rutledge on Dec. 24, 1949, in Childress. She had been a resident of Amarillo for the past 31 years, and was a former longtime resident of Pampa. She was a teller for Security Federal in Pampa and Amarillo. She later was a teller at Amarillo National Bank for many years where she retired. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Pampa. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968. Survivors include two sons, Tim Rutledge of Amarillo and Kevin Rutledge of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; a sister, Billie Veloni of Paramount, Calif.; five grandchildren, Justin Rutledge and Brea Rutledge, both of Amarillo, Chanae Elaine Willis of Birmingham, Ala., and Leah Rutledge and Courtney Rutledge, both of Fountain Hills, Ariz. Amarillo Globe-News, Nov. 12, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- William A. Holden William A. Holden, 49, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Truman Ledbetter officiating. Mr. Holden was born Sept. 1, 1955. He married Carol Boon on June 25, 1977, at NWS Earl Naval Base in Colts Neck, N.J. He was in the Marine Corps. Mr. Holden was the owner of W.N.C. Marketing as as the Quartermaster of Texas VFW No. 7782 and VFW Department Texas District 9 Commander. He also served on the Child Welfare Board in Clarendon. While living in New Jersey, he was a police officer, a member of the volunteer fire department, first aid squad, No. 2179 Color Guard and the Cooties. Mr. Holden was a member of First Baptist Church in Clarendon. Mr. Holden was a life member of the VFW the Fraternal Order of Police. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia "Pat" Holden. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Danielle Holden and Christine Holden; two brothers, Frank Holden and wife, Carol, and John Holden and wife, Jeri; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. "Buff" Hearn officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Terrel married Verdi Wright on Dec. 7, 1938. He retired from Santa Fe Railroad as a locomotive engineer. He was a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge #1239 and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Mr. Terrel was a memeber of Kingswood Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Gary Terrel of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Shannon Starrunner of Washington, D.C., Ruthanne Terrel of Dover, Del., and Andy Terrel of Chicago; and two great-grandchildren. He lived in Levelland until March 1980 when he moved to Prairie Acres Nursing Home in Friona. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dale Israel in 1992. Survivors include two brothers, Curtis Israel and wife, Marynell, of Friona and Chester Israel and wife, Sherry, of Levelland; two sisters, Margaret Wallace and husband, Jim, and Charlene Hogue, all of Levelland. Mrs. Lambright moved from Edmonson to Lubbock in 1953. She moved to Plainview in 1969 and was an accountant for Wal-Mart. Survivors include two sons, Kerry Lambright and wife, Christi, and Gary Don Lambright, all of Rogers, Ark.; a sister, Patricia Ann Fish of Plainview; and six grandchildren. Mrs. Minatrea was born on May 5, 1917, to Sam Turner and Freida Kuchler Turner in Odell. She worked as a presser for Toggery Dry Cleaners and several other dry cleaning businesses. She married Willis Floyd Minatrea on June 21, 1935, in Twitty. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday school class. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1956; three daughters, Linda Williams in 1989, Wanda Manuel in 1991 and Laverne Armstrong in 2000; a great- grandson, Jeremy Freestone in 1999; and a brother, Garland Turner. Survivors include two sons, Willis Floyd Minatrea II of Hernando, Miss., and Alvin Minatrea of Garland; two daughters, Freida Hartman of Wellington and Lanell Doss of Yorktown; four sisters, Virginia Bingham of Akron, Ohio, Mary Fox of Altus, Okla., Freida Simpson of Vancouver, Wash., and Geneva Royal of Lubbock; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a few great-great- grandchildren. Mr. Woodrow married Lois Cothran on July 17, 1941, in Liberal, Kan. He attended the Balko Apostolic Faith Church and was a farmer and rancher in Beaver County. Mrs. Garrett was born April 17, 1916, in Gillham. She was a homemaker, Sunday school teacher at New Bethel Assembly of God Church for many years, a member of the First Assembly of God and the Order of Pythians. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sallie Clegg and Pual Knod Jr., a daughter, Shirley Ann Revis; three brothers; and seven sisters. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, William Harold Garrett; two sons, H.
