Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lake Tanglewood Community Church with Dr. Roger Hubbard of the church officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mrs. Bedell was born June 3, 1914, in Harper, Kan., to Charlie and Flora Eatinger. She married Lister Bedell on Dec. 24, 1938, in Albuquerque, N.M. She moved to Amarillo in 1946 from Plainview and moved to Lake Tanglewood in 1967. Mrs. Bedell was a charter member of Lake Tanglewood Community Church. She also helped organized the Lake Tanglewood library, where she was a volunteer worker there until her death. She was a homemaker and a loving mother. She was preceded in death by her husband on April 4, 1987; and two brothers, Earl and Wilbur Eatinger. Survivors include two daughters, June Bedell of Amarillo and Mary Irene Newkirk and husband, C.W., of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; three sons, Russell Bedell and wife, Diane, of Amarillo, Charles Bedell and wife, Wanda, of Broaddus and Allen Bedell and wife, Jan, of Plano; 13 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Burgess was born in Clarksville. He married Era Medley on Oct. 3, 1938. They moved to Amarillo in 1947. He passed the Navy physical, but wasn't ever called to duty. He served as local chairman for the UTU and retired from Santa Fe Railraod as a conductor after 34 years. He was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. Carroll, 81, of Amarillo died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd., with Bill Austin and the Rev. Mark Urquhart officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery with military honors by the Marine Corps. Mr. Carroll was born in Artesia, N.M., on Aug. 26, 1923. He moved to Vega when he was less than a year old, shortly after moving to Amarillo, where he resided for the rest of his life. He attended Amarillo schools, but before graduating from Amarillo High School at the age of 17, he joined the Marine Corps. He served in World War II in the South Pacific. He retired from the USMC as a gunnery sergeant in the latter part of 1952. He married Modena Robinson in 1954. He worked for the government most of his life, USMC, Helium Plant and retired from the VA hospital in 1981. He was a member of the Marine Corps League and VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1984; his parents, W.A. "Red" Carroll and Louise Carroll; three brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include two sons, Tommy Carroll of Seminole and John Carroll of Dalhart; four sisters, Nancy Ball of Palmer, Ramona Ralston of Amarillo, and Peggy McGowan and Katherine Blanks, both of Mangum, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He played football for North Texas State and server honorably in the Army as a sharpshooter. He married Doris Werther in Wurzburg, Germany. He coached football in Wellington and Lubbock and had lived in Amarillo since 1979, retiring from Coca Cola Bottling Co. in 2004. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather for more than 40 years. He was the family's selfless giver and hero. Mr. Fuller was born in Borger on Oct. 12, 1926. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1944. He went in the Navy in 1945 at the end of the war. He retired in 1989 from Southwestern Public Service (now known at Xcel Energy), as the panhandle division manager after a career of 43 years. Mr. Fuller married Suzanne Smith in 1980, and they have shared 24 wonderful years together. As Mr. Fuller moved around the Panhandle in his SPS career, his public service spanned such notable organizations as Boy Scouts, Red Cross, Lion's Club, Chamber of Commerce, Methodist Church, United Way, Harrington Cancer Center, Texas Association of Business, Masonic Rock Island Lodge of Dalhart, and the American Cancer Society. He volunteered for the American Cancer Society from 1962 until now. He served at all levels; being local division and nationals. He was extremely proud to be the first Texas division volunteer to serve as National Chairman of the Board for the ACS from 1993 to 1995. He possessed an awesome work ethic, a passion for the truth, and a love of his family and the Lord. He loved traveling, golfing, reading, and volunteering. He will be remembered as a very giving and involved person who loved people and loved to laugh. Mr. Fuller was a member of Polk Street Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Carla Burch and husband, Fred, of Tucson, Ariz., Cathy Persico and husband, Chris, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a son, Craig Fuller and wife, Deborah, of Dalhart; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include his mother, Gloria Cooper of Hitchland; his father, John L. Hardesty of Ute Park, N.M.; a sister, Lesa Carlile of Amarillo; two brothers, John Hardesty of Guymon and Brad Hardesty of Larned, Kan.; and a grandmother, Mickey Delano of Gruver. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Luke's United Methodist Church. Private burial will precede the memorial service. Mrs. Hall was born in Ranger on Aug. 13, 1923, one of two children of Gladys and Marvin Collie. She attended Randolph-Macon College and graduated from Rice University. A doctorate in history was awarded her from the University of Houston. She and her husband, Brucks, were married for 52 years. Dorris was a member of the Junior League of Houston, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, Theta luncheon group, Rice University luncheon group, Blue Bird Circle, JCG Monday Bible Study, and Late Bloomer Garden Club. She had been an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church for 52 years and especially loved Randy Smith's Bible study class. The family would like to thank Dr. Susan Williams; and Dorris' dedicated caregivers, Joyce Manuel, Margaret Jackson and Barbara Gentry. Dorris deeply appreciated the fine work of Estella Interiano and Walter Adams.
