Memorial services celebrating her life will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Eddie Tubbs, pastor of First Baptist Church in Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery in Dumas. Mrs. French was born Sept. 21, 1932, in the family country home near La Monte, Mo. She was blessed with wonderful parents, Carl and Ellen Smith, two great brothers, Edward and Carl, and two sweet sisters, Violet and Ellen. Evelyn married Othal Ray French Nov. 19, 1950, in Warsaw, Mo. They made their home in Cactus after Ray returned from serving two years in the Army, serving 18 months in Korea. Their three children, Steven, Diane and Donna, were born in Cactus, and the family moved to Dumas in 1962, where all three children graduated from Dumas High School. Ray and Evelyn moved to Fritch in 1977 and then to Amarillo in 1998. Ray worked for Phillips Petroleum Co. for 38 years. Evelyn taught piano and organ lessons for 40 years and served as pianist, organist and Sunday school teacher in churches in Cactus, Dumas, Borger, Fritch and at the Country Estates. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Edward; a granddaughter, Jamie Holland; a sister-in-law; two brothers-in-law; two nieces; and two nephews. Survivors include her husband; a son, Steven French and wife, Vickie, of Peoria, Ariz.; two daughters, Diane Holland and husband, James, of Comanche and Donna Caldwell and husband, Bryan, of Sulphur, Okla.; a brother, Carl Smith and wife, Ruby, of Sedalia, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Vivian Smith of Sedalia; two sisters, Violet Sanders of Jefferson City, Mo., and Ellen Scott of Mesa, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; and many special nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in North Amarillo Church of Christ with Glen Walton officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Amarillo's Family Funeral Home, 2650 Dumas Drive. Mrs. Richards moved from Memphis in 1952. She was a member of North Amarillo Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles P. Richards; her father, Vincent E. Thomas; and a son-in-law, Robert A. Faucett. Survivors include her mother, Jessie Faye Thomas of Amarillo; three daughters, Kimberlie Maxwell, Delana Barnes and Zona Faucett, all of Amarillo; and a grandson, Justin Mayhall of Amarillo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Dr. Wylie E. "Buff" Hearn of Kingswood United Methodist Church officiating and the Rev. Tom Lane of Gateway Fellowship of Fort Worth assisting. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Martin was born March 23, 1917, in Leflore County, Okla., to William and Milia Redwine Martin. He married Lucy Ella Callaway on April 30, 1939, in Leflore County. They were married 63 years before she passed away on Dec. 8, 2002. They moved to Amarillo in 1943 from Wister, Okla. He retired from Santa Fe Railroad after more than 40 years of service in the water department. He was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church and the Amarillo Senior Citizens, where he loved to play pool. His great joys in life were playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, working in his yard, meeting friends at church and at the Senior Citizens Center and reading. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Corley and husband, Douglas, of Clovis, N.M.; two grandchildren, Mandy Ratledge and husband, Matt, of Clovis and Braxton Corley and wife, Lisa, of Fort Worth; and six great-grandchildren, Lane Corley, Milia Ratledge, Cadence Ratledge, Bryahnna Ratledge, Brytnee Ratledge and Brynndyn Ratledge. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Llano Cemetery with the Rev. Robert E. Field officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Loukas was born in Poteau, Okla., to Cliff and Cleo Harrison on April 23, 1919. She graduated from Wellington High School in 1939. Mrs. Loukas lived in Wellington until she moved to Amarillo in January 1942. In June 1942, she married Pete Loukas in Canyon. She worked as a waitress for the Herring Hotel and the Capital. After retirement, she volunteered at St. Anthony's Hospital coffee shop and at Vivian's Nursing Home, where she played the piano for the residents. Mrs. Loukas was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she was the church pianist. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984; four sisters; and three brothers. Survivors include three sons, Alek Loukas and wife, Elaine, and Benny Loukas and wife, Donna, all of Amarillo, and George Loukas of Eastland; a sister, Billie June Monroe and husband, W.D., of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He had lived in Amarillo since 1973. Mr. Woody was retired from Jack Cooper Transports. He married Mary Newberry on Aug. 27, 1959, in Floydada. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Georgia St. Mrs. Weir was born Jan. 18, 1958, in Far Rockaway, N.Y. She received her bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Colorado and her master's in nursing from West Texas A&M University. Jaime was an exceptionally loving mother, a great wife, a wonderful friend and a dedicated athlete, who loved to read, learn and give to others. She was the first woman in Amarillo to celebrate an adult Bat Mitzvah. As a result of her dedication to this process, she inspired many to follow her example. Her Hebrew name was Yocheved, and she continually studied and tried to incorporate into her own life the lessons of the women of the Bible. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband, David; a son, Zachary Benjamin Weir of Amarillo; two stepsons, David S. Weir and wife, Rebecca, of Amarillo and Patrick S. Mr. Buske had been a Friona resident since 1950, moving from Amarillo. He married Lucille Curry on Feb. 8, 1939, in Clovis, N.M. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel in Dumas with the Rev. Michael A. Hunnington officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Herrin was born March 2, 1906, to Allen and Amelia Ann Henry in Cordell, Okla. She married Marvin E. King on Feb. 28, 1925. He preceded her in death on Jan. 27, 1962. She married James Q. Herrin on May 13, 1966. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1985. Theresa first moved to the Panhandle in 1938. In 1978, she moved to Lake O' the Pines, where she resided until she returned to the Panhandle in May 2001. Theresa was a member of North Shore Baptist Church. She was an accomplished painter of fine china and flower gardener. She was preceded in death by a son, Melvin E. King of Avinger; a daughter-in- law, Edith Joe King of Sunray; three sisters, Ruby Hunnington, Mary Milhoan and Molly Robertson, all of Amarillo; three brothers, Allen Henry of Lakeview, J.D. Henry of Wildorado and Myrett Henry of Plainview; and a great- granddaughter, Jamie Evans Skalsky of Hartley. Survivors include a son, M.T. Mr. Mendez was born March 16, 1983, in Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico, to Margarito Santos Garcia and San Juana Mendez Gonzalez. He was very dedicated to his mother, brother and sister. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in West Park Cemetery. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First United Methodist Church with Dr. Darren Skinner officiating. Arrangements are by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home. Mr. Dickerson was born Oct. 30, 1922, in Amarillo, the son of Pearl and J.W. Dickerson Sr. He married Dorris Campbell on Aug. 17, 1947, in Hereford. Mr. Dickerson received his mechanical engineering degree from Texas A&M University and served as a flight engineer with the Army Air Corps during World War II. Upon his discharge, he moved to Hereford and worked with the Hereford Fire Department for many years and became the chief. He also was a fire instructor at Texas A&M University for 49 years. In 1979, he helped start the Hereford Emergency Medical Services. Mr. Dickerson was a building contractor, building many homes in Hereford over several years, and helped build the First United Methodist Sanctuary. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, served on many committees, was very active in his church and served as an usher for many years. Mr. Dickerson was a member of the Hereford Kiwanis Club and a past scoutmaster of Troop 52 of Hereford. Survivors include his wife; a son, James Dickerson and wife, Edna, of Middlesburg, Ohio; a daughter, Linda Cook and husband, Kenneth, of Hereford; and a grandson, Jimmy Cook of Amarillo.
