Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Eddleman was an Army veteran of Korea and Vietnam. Survivors include five sisters, Lisa, Brenda and Linda, all of Akron, Ohio, and Karen Anderson and Janet Morrison, both of Florida; and four brothers, Ricky, Paul and Jerry, all of Akron, and Will Prulsey of Tennessee. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 12, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jeanne Hollan Jeanne Hollan, 79, of Amarillo died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Hollan was born Feb. 28, 1925, to Albert George Thurman and Irene Annie Thurman in Jacksonville. She married Bill Hollan in Dallas on Friday, July 13, 1951, and they moved to Amarillo in 1964. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday the 13th, 2001. She was a homemaker until after her children were raised. She then worked as a secretary for the vocational nursing department at Amarillo College for 10 years, retiring in the late 1980s. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Betty Hollan of Atlanta; a son, Terry Hollan and wife, Cheryl, of Amarillo; a sister, Lenabell Rudolph of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; a grandchild, Madison of Amarillo; and a sister-in-law, Sue Thurman of Grand Prairie. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 12, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jo Ann Chapman Pursley Jo Ann Chapman Pursley, 73, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2004. No services will be held. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Pursley was born to Frank S. and Thelma Thompson Chapman on June 27, 1931, in Borger. The family moved to Amarillo in August 1931. Mrs. Pursley graduated from Amarillo High School in 1949. She attended the University of Texas and received her degree from West Texas State University. Mrs. Pursley was married to William Culwell in 1959. The marriage ended in divorce. She married V.M. "Budd" Pursley in 1962. He passed away in 1990. Mrs. Pursley was a pioneer in Amarillo television and also worked for KGNC Radio. She was a secretary for George McCarthy, an attorney, for 12 years and was employed at Pioneer Gas Co. from which she retired in 1988. Survivors include her aunt, Aldine Thompson Marshall of Amarillo; two stepdaughters, Laurene Mansfield of Amarillo and Debra Giddens and husband, Dallas, of Casa Grande, Ariz.; two stepgrandchildren, Brandon Giddens of Casa Grande and Daniel Mansfield of Amarillo; and two cousins, Betty Thompson Riley of Amarillo and Wallace Thompson of Borger and their children and grandchildren. "Pampaw" Richardson, 87, of Amarillo died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with her grandson, Billy McCallie, officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Richardson was born in Sharon Springs, Kan., to George and Julia Stephenson. She married Henry Richardson of Perryton in 1972. He passed away in 1992. In 1997, she moved to Craig Methodist Retirement Center, where she lived until her death. She was a member of Church of Christ in Perryton. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; three sisters; and four brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Jerry McCallie and husband, Bill, of Mena, Ark., and Patsy Hickman and husband, Bill, of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Marilyn Beaubien and husband, Phil, of Carrollton; a brother, Gene Stephenson of California; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great- great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Sigle was born in Hereford. She graduated from Hereford High School and attended West Texas State University. She had lived in Amarillo about 20 years. She was a Christian. She was preceded in death by a son, Brent Sigle, in 1977. Survivors include a son, Marc Sigle, of Houston; two sisters, Sherry Vaughn and husband, Boyd, of Tulia and Evelyn Dowell and husband, Bartley, of Hereford; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was raised in Highland Park in Dallas and graduated from Highland Park High School. She married Bob C. Ward at Fort Benning, Ga., in 1944. She moved to Amarillo when Mr. Ward was discharged from the Army. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Jeff Bearden Sunday school class. Mrs. Ward was extremely close to her grandchildren - Kristi, Lance, Scott and Shaun - and to her great-grandson, Ty. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1999. Survivors include two sons, Bob Ward Jr. and wife, Vickie, of Amarillo and Tom Ward and wife, Gayle, of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. Mrs. Campos was born Jan. 24, 1932, in Uvalde, the daughter of Manuel and Manuela Castillo. She married David Campos in 1947 in Uvalde. Mrs. Campos owned and operated Campos Restaurant in Hereford for more than 12 years. She was preceded in death by a son; a brother; and a granddaughter. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Helen Torres, Erlinda Campos and Sara Huerta, all of Hereford, and Leticia Martinez of Amarillo; two sisters, Janie Garcia and Susie Gonzales, both of San Antonio; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Happy Cemetery by Brooks Funeral Directors of Canyon and Happy. Mrs. Cox was born May 31, 1918, to Adney and Lloyd Airhart in Swisher County. She was one of 10 children. She married George Rahlfs in 1939 and farmed with him for more than 50 years until his death in 1990. She married Newt Cox in 1992 and lived in Miami and Amarillo until his death in 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, L.G. Airhart, John B. Airhart, Bill Airhart and Laverne Airhart; and a sister, Madeline Pursley. Survivors include two daughters, JaNet Lindsey and husband, Ron, and Jean Boyles, all of Amarillo; a son, Lloyd Rahlfs Sr. and wife, Ann, of Happy; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jamie Airhart of California and Tom Airhart of Amarillo; two sisters, Dorothy Brechtel of Louisiana and Dona McAtee of Oklahoma; three sisters-in-law, Yvonne Airhart and Betty Rahlfs, both of Amarillo, and Imogene MacDonald of California; a brother-in-law, Otis Harman of Tulia; and many nieces and nephews. She grew up in the Snyder area and attended schools there. She married Ralph A. Bates Sr. on Jan. 2, 1940, in Snyder. They moved to Tulia in 1950. They owned and operated Bates-McHaney Shoe Store for many years. She was a homemaker and a member of Central Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Vicki Bates of Burnet; two sons, Ralph A. Bates Jr. of Kress and Tommy Bates of Rowlett; two grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Mrs. McGregor was born Oct. 6, 1914, in Dawson County. She met M.S. "Boney" McGregor at West Texas, and they married in 1938. Vione was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Alturian Club and 55+ Club of Panhandle. She was a homemaker, Girl Scout leader and Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Scott was born in Clayton, N.M., on June 23, 1934, to Clyde and Elvina Smith Greer. Raised in Texline and Dalhart, she worked at Squires Drug. Betty married Norville "Scotty" Scott on June 4, 1950, in Clayton, N.M. They moved to California and returned in 1959. She was owner - manager of the first drive-up 7-11 in Dalhart. She attended Liberty Baptist Church and will be remembered as a wonderful mom and grandma. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a great-grandchild. She married Weldon Robertson in Fort Worth in 1952. Mrs. Robertson retired after 20 years of service from Dallas County, where she was a car title clerk at the Irving branch. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 2, 1994. Survivors include a son, Larry L. Robertson of Irving; a stepson, Randy G. Robertson and wife, Jeanette, of Plano; a sister, Barbara Bownds of Irving; a brother, G.D. Lowe of Memphis; two grandchildren, Gary and Holly Robertson of Plano; and many nieces and nephews.
