Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David Evans officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Whitlock was born May 12, 1919, in Clarendon to Oma Allen and Faye Tyree Scoggins. She graduated from Clarendon High School and Clarendon College. She married L.T. "Larry" Whitlock in Clarendon on July 7, 1935. He preceded her in death in 1989. She was employed by Diamond Shamrock Petroleum Co., where she worked for 26 years as an executive secretary before her retirement. Mrs. Whitlock was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church, a member of Esther Sunday school class and active in senior adult lunch activities. For many years, Dorothy was active in Llano Estacado Porche Club and "Holiday Ramblers." She was also a member of Amarillo Senior Citizens Association, Swinging Seniors Dance Group, XYZ Dancers, Big Texas Dancers, and was the music director for the senior stars class of Federated Women's Club. She served as volunteer for many community services. Mrs. Whitlock was also a member of Clarendon Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was presently employed at Canyon View Estates Retirement Home. Dorothy was dearly loved by everyone that knew her and was the kindest person. Survivors include a son, L.T. "Larry" Whitlock Jr. and wife, Nancy, of Berlin, Md.; a sister, Ruby Dell Estlack of Clarendon; three grandsons, Marcus Whitlock of Kansas City, Mo., David Whitlock of Tacoma, Wash., and Lance Whitlock of Ocean City, Md.; two nieces, Jackie Patterson and husband, David, of Canyon and Frankie Soderberg and husband, Chuck, of Escondido, Calif.; a great-niece, Marcy Cropper; a great-great-nephew, James Wilson; two great- granddaughters, Shelby and Morgan Whitlock of Kansas City; a sister-in-law, Lucille Garrison of Escondido; and a wonderful friend and co-worker, Janelle Raines and husband, Jerry, of Amarillo. John Love officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. DeLeon was born Jan. 30, 1934, to Jose Rosales DeLeon and Petra Sanchez DeLeon in San Angelo. He married Alene Pope on June 25, 1992, in Amarillo. He retired from Denny's after 14 years. He loved his family and also loved to cook. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Frank DeLeon, Manuel DeLeon and Richard DeLeon; a daughter, Elizabeth Ramon; and three grandchildren, Roxanne Madrigal, Patrick Ramon and Dillon Mahan. Mr. Stewart was born in Roy City. He married Norma Barnett in Denver in 1977. He moved to Amarillo in 1998 from Dalhart. He was a truck driver for more than 60 years. A remembrance celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Her cremains will be scattered at sea. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Ennis was born Mena Carlotta Coburn on Nov. 6, 1941, in New Orleans. She grew up in Amarillo. A youthful devotion to studying dance and teenage success in beauty contests led Carol into a professional burlesque career. She was a member of American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA) and toured extensively in the United States and Mexico. Carol performed under several stage names, most frequently appearing as Carol Lee. When her stage career ended due to injuries sustained in a domestic fire, she returned to Amarillo and established herself as a cosmetologist. She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Ennis and her mother, Ella Quirk Ennis. Survivors include her longtime friend, William Hughes Seewald. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler. Mrs. Kelly was born Sept. 14, 1909, in Throckmorton County to John Henry and Gertrude Gordon. Mrs. Kelley had moved to Mobeetie as a child. She graduated from Wheeler High School and received her degree in home economics from West Texas State University. She married Clyde Kelley in 1939 and moved to Dallas for several years. They returned to Mobeetie in 1945. Mrs. Kelley taught school for several years in Wheeler County. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mobeetie. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968. Survivors include three sons, Joe Kelley and Jeff Kelley, both of Mobeetie, and Robert Kelley of Amarillo; a daughter, Mary Beth Schoon of Amarillo; a brother, George Gordon of Monmouth, Ore.; two sisters, Elda Wilson of Pampa and Lucille Kilbreath of Lubbock; 10 grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. Mr. Lyde was born July 13, 1915, in Childress County to Ernest and Hattie Blake Lyde. He received his bachelor's degree from West Texas State University and his master of arts in education from Texas Tech University. He served his country in World War II in the Navy. Blake was an educator and administrator for 42 years, working in the Dodson, Frenship and Petersburg school districts. He married Ruth Burk on July 3, 1937, in Canyon. He was a member of Main Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Diane Ruth Lyde; his parents; a sister, Jewel Tratham; and a brother, Noble Lyde.
