Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Moore was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Hermleigh. She had lived in Amarillo all her life, graduating from Amarillo High School. She worked at Skaggs for 28 years. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum by Carmichael- Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Nichols was born Aug. 12, 1922, in Spur. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1945. He received his BA and MBA degrees from West Texas State University in Canyon and did post-graduate work at the University of Texas. He married Patricia Bottoms on Aug. 3, 1947, in Quanah. He was a teacher, assistant principal and principal for Pampa Independent School District, and he was assigned as the first principal at Robert E. Lee Junior High School. Mr. Nichols was a member of the PCTA, TSTA and NEA. He was an active member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and was a former member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club. Maggie was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and helped her husband, Ben Trujillo, run his water well service before he died in 1987. She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Bennie Adele Moore; a granddaughter, Cozette Alexander; and her parents. Mr. Gardner was born Feb. 26, 1917, in Vigo Park, Texas, to Charles Robert and Ethel Grace Burgan Gardner. Mr. Gardner was a retired building contractor. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the 42nd Rainbow Division in France, Germany and Austria, receiving the Bronze and Silver Star. He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He married LaVohn Maxwell on Oct. 25, 1947, in Amarillo, Texas. He resided in Amarillo until moving to Canyon, Texas, in 1954. He moved to Long Beach in 1993. He was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his wife; an infant son, Stanley; three brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include a son, Richard and wife, Carolyn, of Long Beach; and five grandchildren, Shelia Drummond and husband, Dan, and Andrea Teague and husband, Thomas, all of Frisco, Texas, and Heather, Glenn, and Gregory Gardner, all of Long Beach. She married Reginal Stephens on June 25, 1958, in Muleshoe. She attended Anton Schools and lived there until 1984 when she and Reggie moved to Levelland. She sold Avon for many years before owning and operating Zane's Specialty Building Products. She always had a passion to lead others to Jesus by teaching GA's, Sunday school classes, vacation Bible school, the bus ministry, and helping in the community with people's needs. Her greatest love was her family and spending time loving them. She graciously taught everyone how to love and how to leave by never complaining once during her illness, always smiling at everyone she came in contact with. She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Lee in 1959; and her mother, Estelle Grace.
