Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Regi Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mr. Braddy was born in Leonard to Edna and Ralph Braddy. He grew up in Celeste and graduated from Celeste High School in 1935. He served in the Army Air Corps. He married Wilma "Willie" Wright in Canyon on Feb. 9, 1945. He moved to Hereford in 1950. He then moved to Umbarger in 1979 and to Amarillo in 1999. He farmed and ranched west of Hereford and in Umbarger for many years. Mr. Braddy was a member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. He was a Mason and a Shriner. He was raised to the degree of Master Mason on Jan. 31, 1940, in St. John Masonic Lodge No. 51. He was past master of the Wiley Manning Masonic Lodge No. 702 and at the time of his death, he was a member of the San Jacinto Masonic Lodge No. 1330. He was a member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry Valley of Lubbock and Khiva Shrine Temple, where he was past president of the Khiva Greeters. He was preceded in death by his father; his mother; and a brother, Ray Braddy. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ann Gooch of Canyon; two granddaughters, Shay Christian and husband, Rit, of Claude and Shyla Yosten and husband, Tony, of McKinney; and three great-grandsons, J.T. Christian, Brock Yosten and Dax Yosten. The family suggests memorials be to Khiva Travel Fund for Crippled Children, in care of Khiva Temple, P.O. Amarillo Globe-News, Dec. 24, 2004 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maxine Kirkland Burch Maxine Kirkland Burch, 79, of Amarillo died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004. Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Bell Avenue Chapel, 5400 Bell St., with the Rev. Jerry Davey officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery. There will be a memorial service at First Baptist Church in The Colony on Jan. 8, 2005. Mrs. Burch went to be with her heavenly Father on Dec. 19, 2004, after 79 blessed and healthy years that began in Kress. Maxine and her husband, Leslie, raised their family in Amarillo as members of Hillcrest Baptist Church. She retired from AMPI in 1985 and moved to The Colony in 1994, where she joined First Baptist Church. Her beloved Sunday School class and Bible study group gave her support and joy. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She had many friends in Amarillo and The Colony who were very dear to her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Leslie, and a son, Jimmy Burch. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Harris of Dallas; a son, Ronnie Burch and wife, Rickye, of Keller; two grandsons, Justin of Keller and Mark of Nashville; a precious great-granddaughter, Skylar; two sisters, Thelma Harrington and husband, John, of Wichita Falls and June Holt and husband, Johnny, of Paris; three brothers, Loyd Kirkland and wife, Winona, of Tulia, Henry Kirkland and wife, Jane, of Denver and Lewis Kirkland and wife, Ginger, of Kingman, Ariz.; an uncle, Odell Kirkland of Kingman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Isidore Catholic Church in Abernathy. Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery by White Funeral Home. Mrs. Hernandez of Lubbock peacefully departed this life Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, in Lubbock, at the age of 77 years, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 20, 1927 in Danevang. She married Manuel Hernandez on May 23, 1946. They moved to Abernathy in 1947 and lived there until 1953. They then moved to Denver City and lived there for 54 years and then moved to Lubbock in 2000. Ella devoted her life to her husband and children. Ella Hernandez leaves us with a legacy of love that we'll always keep her in our hearts. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mary Martinez of Lubbock and Rosalinda Sisneros of Amarillo; four sons, Robert Hernandez of Fentres, Frankie Hernandez of Houston, Alonzo Hernandez of Denver City and Luis Hernandez of Baton Rouge, La.; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
