Prayer services will be at 6 p.m. today in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the church with Monsignor Joseph Tash officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Albuquerque, N.M., by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Anderson was born July 4, 1959, in Albuquerque to W.A. "Bill" and Judy Anderson. He graduated from the University of New Mexico. Larry moved to Amarillo 13 years ago and worked as manager of Discount Tire Company. Larry was a beloved member of the community. Larry is truly loved and will be dearly missed. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Lisa; a son, Lee of Amarillo; a daughter, Ashley of Amarillo; his parents of Albuquerque; two brothers, Steve Anderson and wife, Jennifer, and David Anderson and wife, Tracylee, all of Albuquerque; and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Georgia St. Mrs. David, 95 years, of Amarillo, and formerly of Bryan and Corsicana, died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, in Amarillo. Her hobbies included golf, bridge, playing games and A&M. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990 and a son, John Lewis David Sr. in 1983. Survivors include a son, Frank Richard David and wife, Ann, of Dalhart a daughter-in-law, Julie David Wilcoxson and husband, Bob, of Dalhart; two sisters, Anna Mae Eliot of Corsicana and Billy Ruth Rubottom of Dallas; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Davis was born in Sturgis, S.D., on Jan. 2, 1936, to Henry and Esther Davis. He grew up as an Army brat and lived in various states and in Japan. He married Edith Dickey on Dec. 19, 1955, while stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base. They had four wonderful children together during the 10 years "Our Dan" spent in the Air Force in various states. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and two grandsons, Sant Subagh Khalsa and Adam Davis. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Guruparwaz Khalsa and husband, J, of Kansas City, Mo., and Debra Blalock and husband, Cris, of Amarillo; two sons, Mike Davis of Dallas and Mark Davis and wife, Brenda, of Midland; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gray was born June 2, 1914, in Russellville, Ark. She married Charles D. Gray on Aug. 18, 1930, in Scottsville, Ark. Survivors include a brother, Bud Tilley of Granbury; two daughters, Helen Kendrick of Amarillo and Carol Routh of Abernathy; and two sons, Charles Gray and Robert Gray, both of Houston. "Ed" Shoemaker E.D. "Ed" Shoemaker, 71, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Monday in St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the church with Monsignor Joseph Tash officiating. Entombment will be in Memory Gardens Mausoleum by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Shoemaker was born March 8, 1933, to Earl and Minnie Shoemaker in Jewell County, Kan. An avid sports fan, he loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed outdoor cooking for family and friends. His barbeque ribs were awesome. Mr. Shoemaker loved to tend his backyard garden with his grandson and entered several vegetable competitions at the Tri-State Fair each year. He grew Halloween pumpkins for all the neighborhood children. Mr. Shoemaker attended his early education in a one-room schoolhouse in the country, graduated from Glen Elder High School and then attended Brown Mackie Business College in Salina, Kan. As young man, Ed played minor league baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers farm club and was a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean conflict. He married Mary Sue Williams of Pueblo, Colo., on July 7, 1956. Mr. Shoemaker retired from Woolworth/Woolco after 32 years as general manager in Amarillo. Subsequently, he founded High Plains Transmission Service and most recently was employed by the AC Neilson company. He was an active member of Kiwanis and a past board member of Goodwill Industries. He and his wife were among the founding families of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Terri Susan Kitts and husband, Tom, of Amarillo; a son, Greg Shoemaker of Lubbock; a grandson, Trevor Kitts of Amarillo; a sister, Myrth Stephens of Kerrville; numerous nieces and nephews; and five loving cats, Bobbie, Yeller, Blackie, Buffy and George. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Thomas was born Oct. 12, 1921, in Harrison, Ark. She married Ellis R. Thomas on Feb. 20, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a longtime resident of Amarillo. Mrs. Thomas belonged to Avihk Temple No. 70, Daughters of the Nile. She enjoyed doing volunteer work. She was the executive secretary for Southwestern Public Service for 32 years. Mrs. Thomas was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jimmy McLaughlin and Mildred May Holt. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Dee Ann Saunders of Amarillo; a son, David L. Thomas of Houston; a sister, Pauline Giersch of Amarillo; three granddaughters, Lori Ann Springer, Amy Dee Saunders and Stacy Ellison; a grandson, Chad Thomas; a great-granddaughter, Nicolle L'Nae Springer; and a great-grandson, Chad Thomas. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Westview Christian Church with Don Willingham Jr. and Charles Waugh, minister, officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the City of Levelland Cemetery in Levelland. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Our loving husband, daddy, big paw and brother left this earth on Dec. 24 in Amarillo to reside with his Lord and Savior and to spend his first Christmas in Heaven. Mr. Daniel was born in Oklahoma to Cecil and Edna Daniel on Aug. 30, 1936. He then moved to Ralls. He married Louise Mitchell on Dec. 31, 1996. He was blessed to be the oldest of 11 children. He was an avid lover of bluegrass, country and Christian music. He appreciated music and singing. He was a member of the Panhandle Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association. Mr. Daniel also a member and leader of several bands. At the time of his death, Mr. Daniel was a member of Westview Christian Church, where he was also a member of the Y Men's Club, the choir and the Men's Fellowship. He had previously been a member of Raintree Christian Church in Lubbock. Mr. Daniel was employed by A & S General Contractors at the time of his death. He truly appreciated his family and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Wanda. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lucretia "Sissy" Bartlett and Lori Parker, both of Lubbock; a son, Terry Daniel of Lubbock; two stepchildren, Jill Rasberry-Norris of Lubbock and Terry Mitchell of Amarillo; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was an engineer with the Texas Highway Department for 43 years. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy, and a sister, Jetta Slack of Oceanside, Calif. Mr. Eddleman was born in Hall County on June 26, 1917, to Charlie and Mitt Eddleman. He married Ruby Lee Dickerson on Oct. 24, 1932. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Marshall of Austin and Jealeta Baird of Silverton; two brothers, W.C Eddleman of Eureka, Calif., and Bailey Eddleman of Dimmitt; a sister, Johnnie Morrison of Quitaque; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery in Plainview by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. in Amarillo. Mrs. Hooper was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Plainview to Frank and Noel Free. She graduated from Plainview High School in 1936 and attended Lipperts Business College. She married Sidney Hooper Sr. in Plainview on Feb. 7, 1942. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia. They moved from Halfway to Tulia on Dec. 9, 1955. Juanita and Sidney were owners and also kept the books for Gulf Oil Co. in Tulia for nine years and also for Elwood Ramsey and Wilton Whitehead for eight years. Mrs. Hooper retired June 10, 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband on Nov. 13, 1993, and a daughter, Noel Juanita Hooper, on June 26, 1951. Survivors include a son Sidney Hooper Jr. and wife, Jeannie, of Canyon; two daughters, Lael Hooper-Dick and husband, William W., of Lakewood, Wash., and Tamy Hooper-Henthorn and husband, Robert, of Bastrop; two grandchildren, Christian and Brandon Hooper; and four great-grandchildren. Demerson, superintendent, assisting. Burial will be in Denver City Memorial Park by Ratliff Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson was born Dec. 12, 1954, in Marlin to the late D.J. Johnson Sr. and Erma Lee Johnson. The Lord called him home Monday, Dec. 20, 2004. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Isaiah Reyes and Qutrayvious "Tray" Johnson, and his father. David resided in Midland for the last 30 years. He served in the Korean conflict in the Marine Corps. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was retired from Rogers Ford in Midland. He will always be loved and dearly missed by all of us. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John.
