Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Murry Gossett officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Allen was born Feb. 7, 1926, in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School and entered the Navy to serve in World War II. He graduated from Amarillo College, where he met Bobbie Lou Turner. They were married in 1949 in Amarillo. John worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative for many years. He was active in Boy Scouts his entire life, serving as a scoutmaster for Troop 1 of Amarillo for many years. He retired to enjoy years of travel in his motor home and being with his family. He was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church, where he had served as an elder and deacon. Survivors include his wife; a son, Mark Allen and wife, Roberta, of Canyon; a daughter, Anita Whitaker of Amarillo; a brother, Bill Allen and wife, Verna of Ruidoso, N.M.; five grandchildren, Amanda McCord, Bonnie McMillan, Kevin Allen, Troy Whitaker and Shelly Whitaker; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bulin was born in Seminole, Okla., moving to Amarillo 51 years ago from Plainview. Mrs. Bulin was a nurse. For 36 years, she worked for different doctors, Southwest Osteopathic Hospital and several nursing homes. She married James Bulin on April 7, 1970. She was preceded in death by a son, David Tucker on June 22, 2004, in North Little Rock, Ark.; and a great-grandchild, Kayla Starr. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Sandy Simmons of Fritch, and Kim James and Elizabeth Reynolds, both of Amarillo; her mother, Lorene Ramsey of Amarillo; two sisters, Ann Gaylon of Cortez, Colo., and June Beal; a brother, Bob Ramsey of San Diego; nine grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. He attended Bowie Junior High and later got his GED. Steven joined the Marine Corps in 1975 and served four years. Steve worked at Llano Cemetery for more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isidro and Mary Romero. Private family graveside services will be held. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Clayton was born July 21, 1916, in Amarillo to Mary Ellen and Cleo Guy Clayton Sr. He served with the Army Infantry during World War II and received four Bronze Stars for combat service. He was past commander of VFW Post 1475. He had practiced law as an attorney in Amarillo for more than 50 years. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church, where he had taught Sunday school for many years. Survivors include his wife, Huberta; two sons, Wes Clayton of Amarillo and Hugh Clayton of Austin; a daughter, Lisa Crawley of Denison; two brothers, Dr. Guy Clayton of Amarillo and Dr. Robert Clayton of Columbus, Ga.; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Smith was born Jan. 25, 1910, in Odessa, one of three children born to Rassler and Pearl Smith. After school he worked on automobiles, and throughout many years he worked on various ranches in the Permian Basin area. In 1932, he married his wife of 64 years, Irene. They loved to travel and visited 54 foreign countries. He was a 50-year member of Palo Duro Lodge No. 1239, and a 32nd Degree Mason. Emmett was proud of his family and proud to be able to give to others. He thanks you for taking time to read about his life. He was preceded in death by his wife and son. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Mrs. Weatherall was born in Bogata to John and Rose Roach on Dec. 12, 1915. She married Oscar Floyd Weatherall in 1938. Maurie and Floyd lived and worked in Amarillo and retired to Tyler. Primarly a homemaker, Maurie was also a willing and able assistant in many family business ventures. She selflessly loved and served her family and was deeply loved by them. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and four siblings. Survivors include a son, Jimmy Floyd Weatherall and wife, Ruth, of Houston; two grandchildren, Robin Sturgis and Brian Weatherall, both of Houston; and three great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Sarah and Bethany Sturgis. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery in Hereford by Parkside Chapel Funeral Home of Hereford. Mrs. Sears was born Jan. 15, 1967, in Hereford, the daughter of James and Doris Dobbs. She was a graduate of Hereford High School in 1985, was a member of the school band, where she played the drums, and was the Easter Lions Club Sweetheart. She married Robert Sears on July 28, 2001, in Canyon and had been the postmaster of the West Texas A&M University post office for more than 17 years. Survivors include her husband; a son, Jake Lee Lazlo Sears of Canyon; her parents of Summerfield; two sisters, LeAnn Talk and husband, Lonnie, of Virginia Beech, Va., and Renee Patton and husband, Robert, of Pima, Ariz.; and her mother-in-law, Eva Sears of Quanah. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Hughs Funeral Home. Miss Rasco was born Sept. 15, 1900, to the late Joe T. Rasco and Cora Foster Rasco. She was a pioneer of Hall County, having moved with her family to Memphis in 1907. Miss Rasco resided in the same house from 1911 until 1993, at which time she moved to Memphis Convalescent Center. She graduated from Memphis High School in 1922 and dedicated her life to the love of music. She taught for many years and received many honors and recognitions. She was a member of numerous service clubs and music organizations. Miss Rasco was a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Memphis and was the church organist for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Foster Rasco. He had been a Moore County resident since Jan. 8, 1947. He married Anna Belle Lindsey on April 8, 1939, in Van Buren, Ark. He was a furnace foreman at American Zinc from 1947 to 1970 and worked at Cactus Feeders for 17 years. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Dumas. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne Testerman; a brother; and two sisters. Mrs. Berry was born Sept. 18, 1913, to Simon Peter King and Matilda Jane King in Coleman. She attended School at Barwise Community School in Electra and Seagraves. She was the secretary for the City of Seagraves from 1961 to 1979. She lived all of her adult life in Seagraves until 1999, when she moved to Amarillo to be near her son. She married Ed Berry on Oct. 5, 1932, in Lovington, N.M. She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 30, 1997. Survivors include two sons, Dwaine Berry and wife, Ray, of Maintland, Fla., and Don Berry and wife, Margaret, of Amarillo; six grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
