Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Potters House Christian Fellowship with Fabian Talamante, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Mr. Romero was a lifelong resident of Amarillo. He attended Bowie Junior High and later got his GED. Steven joined the Marine Corps in 1975 and served four years. Steve worked at Llano Cemetery for more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isidro and Mary Romero. Survivors include two daughters, Bridgette Cortes of Amarillo and Billie Jean Romero of El Paso; two sons, Sabrian Romero and Jose "Packy" Cortes, both of Amarillo; a sister, Mary Griego of Amarillo; two brothers, Victor Romero of Amarillo and Richard Romero of Phoenix; and three grandsons, Tommy Inthavong, Nathan Inthavong and Jason Cortes, all of Amarillo. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery by Rix Funeral Directors. Mr. Amador married Felicitas Hernandez in 1947 in Mexico. He had farmed for 40 years. Mr. Saldana was born Feb. 16, 1922, in Moore to Marcial R. Saldana and Ramona Rodriquez Saldana. He married Maria Cantu on Aug. 24, 1942, in Corpus Christi. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Alfred R. Saldana Jr. of Lubbock,, Robert Saldana of Wellington, Joe Saldana of Grafton, N.D., and Rodney Saldana of Shattuck, Okla.; four daughters, Rose Sanchez and Sylvia Quinn, both of Shattuck, Mary Vitela of Dumas and Irene Torrez of Wellington; two sisters, Lucia Palacios of Edinburg and Clara Zepeda of Walla Walla, Wash.; 24 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by Myers- Chancellor Funeral Homes. Mr. Robison was born Jan. 26, 1927, in Waco to Claud Raymond Robison and Clara Catherine Robison. He served in the Navy in World War II and was a Mason for 52 years. Survivors include two sons, James S. "Jimbo" Robison of Amarillo and Claud E. Robison of Clarendon; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Jerry Trammell, pastor, the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired pastor of the church, and the Rev. Chuck Cook, youth minister for the church, officiating. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Testerman was born July 10, 1918, in Schaberg, Ark. He had been a Moore County resident since Jan. 8, 1947. He married Anna Belle Lindsey on April 8, 1939, in Van Buren, Ark. He served in the Army during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He was a furnace foreman at American Zinc from 1947 to 1970 and worked at Cactus Feeders for 17 years. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Dumas. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Wayne Testerman; a brother; and two sisters. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jack Testerman and wife, Barbara, of Avondale, Ariz., Tommy Testerman and wife, Jeannie, of Sahurita, Ariz., and Gene Testerman and wife, Sue, of Dumas; two daughters, Lois Dick and husband, Randall, of Williams, Ariz., and Karen Long and husband, Bobby, of Denver City; three brothers, Victor Testerman of Fort Gibson, Okla., Jerry Don Testerman of Rudy, Ark., and Paul David Testerman of Van Buren; three sisters, Mamie Staab of Van Buren, Geraldine Alls of Albuquerque, N.M., and Polly Brammer of Rudy, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Warner was born in Cimarron County to Will Worth Wiggins and Nena Faye McBride Wiggins. She was a member of Mexhoma Church. She grew up in Slapout and graduated with the Laverne High School Class of 1950. Burial will be in Marella Cemetery by Cimarron Mortuary of Boise City. Mr. Twombly, the son of Clarence E. Twombly and Lucy Flickinger Twombly, was born June 18, 1900, in Bates County, Mo. He married Swany Grabeal on June 7, 1926, at Stratford, Texas. Survivors include two sons, Leo Twombly of Griggs and Lon Twombly of Alvarado, Texas; two daughters, Esther Currant of Hutchinson, Kan., and Nell Phetteplace of Waxahachie, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today in The Chapel with Thomas P. Jones officiating. Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home. Mr. Sizemore was born Sept. 7, 1916, to Oscar and Ollie Jackson Sizemore in Dallas. He married Lynn Goodman in 1949 in Clovis, and they celebrated their 55th anniversary last November. Survivors include his wife; two sons, H. Glenn Sizemore of Rio Rancho and Michael Sizemore of Fort Worth, Texas; a sister, Dorothy Wilson of Waco, Texas; a brother, Gene Sizemore of Dallas; four grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 8, 2005 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elsewhere James Allen Braxton CEDAR PARK - James Allen Braxton, 82, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home in Austin. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville. Mr. Braxton was born July 29, 1922, in Amarillo. Jim, as his family and his friends knew him, graduated from Amarillo High School and later received his BBA from the University of Texas at Austin. Jim was a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II, serving as a radio operator. After his service on Nov. 27, 1948, he married Nina Jane Swearingen, his wife of 56 years. Jim had his own insurance agency in Amarillo and worked for the IRS as a revenue officer. He retired and moved to Cedar Park in 1992. At the time of his death, he worked part-time substitute teaching for Leander ISD, as he loved working with the young people and students. Jim was loved by all who knew him and took pride in his service to his country. He was a very giving man and helped many family members. He and Jane attended New Hope Baptist Church. Jim was a deacon and trustee in the Baptist Church, and he loved his church dearly, helping out and giving any way he could. Survivors include his loving wife; a sister, Juanita Stephenson; a son, Larry Braxton and wife, Carolyn; a daughter, Cheryl Braxton; five grandchildren, Brett, Bryce and Jamey Bagley and Luke and Kelsey Braxton; and two great- grandchildren, Alex and Jaden Bagley.
