Cain Marvin R. Cain, 73, of Amarillo died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005. Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery with military rites by D.A.V. Chapter 26. Mr. Cain was born in El Paso on June 9, 1931, to Loyd and Mildred Cain. He served in the Navy. He worked for Glaziers Wholesale Drug for more than 30 years before retiring. He was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Beatrice "Bess" Cain; and a brother, Edward J. Cain. Survivors include his wife, Frances; three sons, Marvin R. Cain Jr. and wife, Lynn, and John Cain and wife, Wendy, all of Amarillo, and Michael Cain and wife, Darlene, of Sanford; four daughters, Elizabeth Whitley, Clara Littlejohn and husband, Wayne, and Cathy Nemoede and husband, Ronnie, all of Amarillo, and Tina Good and husband, Gary, of Perryton; a sister, Kay Black of Truth or Consequences, N.M.; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Davis McClung, 95, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Renae Haiduk of Polk Street United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. McClung was born to Charles B. and Pearl Vinson on Jan. 24, 1910, in Matador. She earned a master's degree in education from West Texas State College. She married Loyce W. Davis on June 7, 1930, in Pampa. He preceded her in death on Dec. 21, 1968. Mrs. McClung taught school for 16 years in Amarillo before moving to Seal Beach, Calif., where she taught for another six years. Before moving to California, she belonged to the Federation of Women's Club and Polk Street United Methodist Church in Amarillo. Mrs. McClung married Virgil C. McClung in 1978. He also preceded her in death. She returned to Amarillo in 1997 and was a resident of Park Place Towers and Ware Memorial Living Center. Mrs. McClung was always considered to be the "lucky one," winning trips to Australia and New Zealand. In addition to her love of travel, she had a passion for golf and bridge, taking both games seriously. Mrs. McClung also enjoyed square dancing. Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Brown of Amarillo; a son, Jack Davis of Anaheim, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Ruth Green of California; a stepson, Richard McClung of New York; two brothers, Wesley Vinson of Portland, Ore., and Bill Tarwater Jr. of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Robin Brown, Kevin Brown, Brandy Johnson, Craig Davis and Lance Davis; and five great-grandchildren. Prayer vigil will be at 7 p.m. today in Rix Funeral Directors Chapel in Hereford. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in La Iglesia de San Jose in Hereford with Monsignor Arturo Meza, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Hereford. Mr. Mireles was born May 17, 1985, in Hereford to Pablo Mireles Jr. and Kara Loyd Mireles. He attended schools in Amarillo and graduated from Palo Duro High School in May 2004. Survivors include his parents of Hereford; four brothers, Adolpho Mireles, Paul Mireles III and John Herrera, all of Hereford, and Jacob Mireles of Amarillo; a sister, Jana Mendoza of Amarillo; and his grandparents, Virginia Loyd of Amarillo, Rodney Loyd of Caldwell, Idaho, and Pablo Mireles of Brady. No local services are planned. Mass will be in St. Joseph, Mo. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in St. Joseph. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St., and Mierhoffer Funeral Home and Crematory in St. Joseph. Mrs. Morgan was born Sept. 13, 1905, in Plattsburg, Mo., and was a resident of Amarillo for more than 50 years. She retired from Colorado Interstate Gas in 1966. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Alter Society and the Amarillo Country Club, where she and her husband, Tom, played golf for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Morgan in 1994. Survivors include a sister, Pauline Reardon of St. Joseph, and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1200 S. Washington St., Amarillo, TX 79102; Odyssey Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101; or to a favorite charity. Survivors include a son, Joaquin Venzor of Etter; two brothers, Raul Venzor of Etter and Jesus Venzor of Chihuahua; a sister, Elisa Loya of Dumas; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She married Archie Winford Payne on Aug. 22, 1926, in Paint. Survivors include a daughter, Margie George of Quitaque; five sons, A.W. Payne Jr. and Jerry Payne, both of Quitaque, Joe Payne of Plainview, Henry Payne of Amarillo and Stan Payne of Floydada; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. "Sugar" Glaze, 78, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, in Lubbock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Stacy Conner of Muleshoe officiating. Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home. Mr. Glaze was born Jan. 8, 1927, in Muleshoe. He married Betty Tarter in Lazbuddie on April 13, 1949. James was a member of First Baptist Church in Muleshoe, where he was a lifelong resident. He was also a member of the Jaycees, New Mexico Cattle Growers, Independent Cattleman's Association and the Elk's Lodge No. 1348 in Lubbock. He was a director for the Federal Land Bank and First Bank of Muleshoe. James also served as a Merchant Marine in the Army during World War II. James worked as a farmer and rancher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross M. and Ida Glaze; a brother, Ross M. Glaze Jr.; and a sister, Ida Lou Whitten. Survivors include his wife; a son, James Benton Glaze Jr. and wife, Susan, of Twin Falls, Idaho; two daughters, Harriet Bynum and husband, Eddie, of Lubbock and Sonnie Feagley and husband, Sam, of College Station; a sister, Hester Branham of Amarillo; and six grandchildren, Sylvia Zuber, Michelle Jedlicka, Alicia Feagley and Hannah, Rachael and Victoria Glaze. Mr. Wrinkle was born July 4, 1910, in Garden Valley. He married Pearl McDonald on Aug. 28, 1930, in Hollis, Okla. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Rasberry and Joan Baker, both of Childress; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church in Higgins. Burial will be in Higgins Cemetery by Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Shattuck. Mr. Eggleston was born Aug. 2, 1917, in the Bishop Community in Ellis County to Austin and Beatrice LeStourgeon Eggleston. He married Enola Kay Hughes on Oct. 24, 1946, at Ashland, Kan. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Lisa Coles of Noble and Myra Karnes of Higgins; a son, Murry Eggleston of Beggs; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Carroll Green officiating. Burial was at 4:30 p.m. Sunday in Gaines County Cemetery in Seminole. Arrangements were by Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole. Mrs. Vest was born March 11, 1981, in Amarillo. She married Joseph Allen Vest on July 28, 2001, in Seminole. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a certified nurses assistant at Legend of the Plains in Hale Center. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Jaci Lee Vest and Ruby Raquel Vest, both of Hale Center; a son, John Andrew Vest of Hale Center; and a sister, Melody Middleton of Memphis.
