Webb Ernest L. Webb, 84, of Amarillo died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Dr. Chester Beavers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Webb was born May 1, 1920, in Texline. He served in the Army from 1940 to 1945. He moved to Amarillo in 1954. He was a family man and retired from ASARCO after 25 years. He then retired from the Amarillo Independent School District at age 68. He was a loving father and grandfather. He enjoyed his time at family outings with his children and grandchildren. His favorite fishing spot was Beaver Lake, Ark. After retirement, he enjoyed shooting pool at the Senior Citizens Center. Both family and friends will miss him. Survivors include three sons, Edward Webb and wife, Ruth, of Amarillo, and Wesley Webb and Gary Webb, both of Arlington; a daughter, Sandy Simonson and husband, Rodger, of Arlington; a sister, Ressie Porterfield of Lamesa; a brother, Presley Webb of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Shoemaker lived in Amarillo since 1969. He served in the Army and later retired from Bell Helicopter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Robby. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Tolbert of Canyon, and Kathy Buck and Debra Lumpkins, both of Amarillo; four sisters; a brother; two dear friends, Florence Updyke and Charles Muse, both of Amarillo; his faithful dog, Lulu; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Mr. Roberson was born Feb. 8, 1941, in Jericho. He graduated from Clarendon High School. He worked as a locksmith at numerous prisons in the Texas Panhandle. He was preceded in death by a son, Todd Roberson, in 1986. Survivors include a daughter, Lori Baggett of Claude; a sister, Daphine Sullivan of Wheeler; and three grandchildren. She married Charlie Wade Butts on March 31, 1947, in Vernon. Memorial services were at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Benjamin Seller, pastor, officiating. Private family burial was in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Mrs. Oldham was born May 1, 1921, in Texline to Bruce and Clara Massay Baer. On Aug. 3, 1946, she married Jack Oldham in Dallas. She taught school for 18 years; a year in Logan, N.M., and 17 years in Dumas. Her loves included reading, life, joking, hugging and visiting. She always remembered her students. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in September 1999; three brothers; two sisters; and her parents. Survivors include a sister, Gladys Boedeker of Levelland; a special nephew, Johnny Baer of Dumas; a special niece, Nita Baer of Dumas; a special godchild, Nettie Ward of Dumas; many nieces and nephews; and many friends and loved ones. Bauman, 97, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2005. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, in the Speer Chapel on the LeTourneau University campus. Arrangements are by Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home. Dr. Bauman graduated from Ashland College, University of Southern California and Ashland Ohio Theological Seminary. He was pastor at Second Brethren Church in Los Angeles for several years. He was vice president of Grace College and Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Ind., and retired as vice president of LeTourneau College in Longview. While in Longview, he led and directed more than 50 tours to the Holy Land and gave many illustrated lectures relating to biblical events and prophecy. He was a lifelong member of Grace Brethren Church. He was a charter member of Brethren Home Missions Council and was president of the board for more than 10 years. He served on the board of Missionary Tech Team in Longview. He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Aldine Aungst. Survivors include his wife, Irene; two daughters, Mary Black and husband, Dr. James Black, and Carolyn Rutherford and husband, the Rev. Arch Rutherford; a son, Paul Bauman Jr. and wife, Carol; nine grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; a stepson, Dan Smith; six stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat- grandchildren.
