Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Cornerstone Baptist Church with Coy Wiley, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40. Mrs. Long was born April 22, 1922, in Atoka, Okla., to Albey and Bessie Simmons. She married J.D. Long in Rush Springs, Okla., on Aug. 16, 1941. She was preceded in death by her husband in May 1975; a sister, Ellen Jones; and two brothers, Ralph Simmons and Houston Simmons. Survivors include a son, Keith Long and wife, Sheila; four sisters, Mona Randall and husband, Frank, of Sulphur Springs, Jen Knight and husband, Zearl, of Elk City, Okla., and Patricia Simmons and Rose Simmons, both of Dennison; two brothers, Edmund Simmons and wife, Ovella, of Blanchard, Okla., and Jesse Simmons; two sisters-in-law, Ella Simmons of Comanche, Okla., and Mary Jo Simmons of Dillard, Ore.; her stepmother, Willie Gay Simmons; three grandchildren, Danielle, Meredith and Tyler Long; and all of the children that she cared for from Faith Baptist, who lovingly called her Nanny Long or Aunt Helen. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home in Canyon. Mr. Mahony was born Nov. 9, 1958, in Amarillo to Bernard Joseph Mahony and Vonnabelle Hendren Mahony. He graduated from Midland High School and from New Mexico Tech with a major in physics. He was then hired by Pantex where he worked at various jobs over the years and most recently as manager of the firing range. He married Patty Duke on May 14, 1986, in Dublin, Ireland. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his mother; and a brother, Bernie. Survivors include his wife; his father of Midland; a sister, Colleen Meinke and husband, Johnny, of Midland; and three nieces, Bonnie Meinke, Piper Meinke and Jean Tarbell. She was currently managing Independence Village in Amarillo. She was a member of First Christian Church in Canadian. She married Hugh Hayes in 1963 in Las Vegas. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Christopher Hayes and Nathaniel Hayes, both of Amarillo; a daughter, Desiree Warren of Watonga, Okla.; a brother, Michael Huddleston of Elgin, Ill.; and five grandchildren. She graduated from Dalhart High School and attended Idaho State University, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta social sorority. She married Bill Johnson on Sept. 7, 1956, in Dalhart. They moved to Vega in 1960, where they owned and operated Vega Greenhouse since 1963. She was preceded in death by her parents, C.B. and Olivia Crawford; and a son, Steven Byron Johnson. Survivors include her husband; a son, Keith Johnson and wife, Vivian, of Amarillo; a daughter, Kathy Howard and husband, Chris, of Lago Vista; a brother, Bill Crawford and wife, Prissy, of Dalhart; a sister, Fern Clemons and husband, Walter, of Oxnard, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Brandon Howard, Landon Howard, Kurt Johnson and Kelton Johnson.
