Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Eddie Johnson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Foster moved to Amarillo 55 years ago from Stinnett. He married Muriel Dean Wilson on July 17, 1950, in Eureka Springs, Ark. He was the owner of Foster's House of Strings for the past 23 years. Mr. Foster was a member of Teamsters for 40 years and was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. Blackie loved and looked forward to his weekly bluegrass sessions with his many friends at his store. Blackie loved and adored his wife, daughters and sons-in-law and grandchildren. He was excited about the upcoming birth of his first precious great-granddaughter, Jenah. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Bernice Dupy, Anita O'Fallon and Joy Lee Gonzales. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Sherry Hughes and husband, Bruce, Mary Foster and Billie Palmer and husband, Greg, all of Amarillo, and Kellye Stevenson and husband, John, of Southlake; a sister, Helen Vanover and husband, Carmen, of Amarillo; a brother, Lewis Foster and wife, Eva, of Redding, Calif.; and six grandchildren, Jessica Ramirez and husband, Angel, Matt Stevenson, Ryan Stevenson, Ben Palmer, Rick Palmer and Megan Palmer. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel, 4100 S. Georgia St., with Dr. J. Alan Ford of Southwest Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Hall was born in Canyon on July 15, 1947, to Otho and Florine Carruth. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1965. She married Hugh Hall in Pampa on Aug. 7, 1965. Mrs. Hall was co-owner of Hugh Hall Motors. In addition to keeping the books for the motor company, she was also a book keeper for others as well. Mrs. Hall had a passion for the outdoors. She loved to fish and spend time at the lake. She was a devoted and loving wife and grandmother to her grandchildren, Bailey and Trevor. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kelly Snow of Amarillo; a son, Tracy Addesso and wife, Teresa, of Amarillo; a sister, Claira Kuehn of Canyon; a brother, Paige Carruth of Amarillo; two grandchildren, Bailey Snow and Trevor Addesso; six nieces; and 12 nephews. He served in the Navy during World War II and worked in construction as a brick layer. Amarillo Globe-News, March 9, 2005 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nash Folley Nash Folley, 77, of Amarillo died Monday, March 7, 2005. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Llano Cemetery with Dr. Steve Waterhouse of Westcliff Bible Church officiating. Arrangements are by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street. Mr. Folley was born May 12, 1928, in McLean to George and Minnie James Folley. He and his wife, Faye Westfall, were married for 59 years. They lived most of their lives in Amarillo. He worked for Helium Field Operations beginning in July 1953 as a helper at the Amarillo plant. After working as a loading dock foreman for 11 years, he resigned in 1968 to enter private business. In 1978, Nash returned to work and received numerous promotions, including several supervisory positions in both operations and maintenance. Nash received a special achievement award, superior performance award and several letters of commendation. He was a member of "Pioneer Promenaders" square dance club. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gary and wife, Stephanie, Rick and wife, Carolyn, and Tim and wife, Starlite; a daughter, Darla Zion and husband, Allen; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Byrd was born Sept. 15, 1908, in Tahoka to Edgar and Ida Owen. Thomas "Tommy" Lester and Leta were in love for 73 years and were sustained by our Lord and Savior. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Leta Elizabeth Littlejohn and Lylyan Ann Byrd. Survivors include her husband; two children, Thomas Lester Byrd Jr. and wife, Marian Sue, and Edgar Price Byrd and wife, Karen Walker; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Owen. Interstate 40. Mr. Martin was born March 4, 1930, to Robert N. and Era Martin in Hermleigh. He worked for W.M. Smith in Lubbock for 30 years. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Llano Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mr. Haynes born in Dalhart on Jan. 4, 1921, and was a resident of Amarillo for 68 years. He moved to Georgetown two years ago. He retired from the Santa Fe Railway after 40 years of service, and was a life member of BRT. He was a longtime member of First Christian Church. Mr. Haynes had a hobby of woodworking and spent many hours crafting new items as well as restoring antiques. He and his wife, Dorothy Jane, were married 63 years. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Janell Bora of Georgetown and Dorothy Kay Sullivan of Round Rock; a son, Andrew Haynes of Dallas; and three grandchildren, Brian Gray, Clint Gray and Brandy Bora. He was retired from South Pacific Railroad, where he was a conductor. He was a longtime member of BPO Elks Lodge 1172 of Tucumcari. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann McVay. She graduated from Pampa High School in Pampa, Texas, in 1957. She made her home in Amarillo, Texas, with her husband and their two children. They moved to Topeka in 1993. Survivors include her husband, Jimmy; a son, Kenneth Quisenberry and wife, Kay; a daughter, Karen Quisenberry; a grandson, John; as well as many friends and relatives.
