Rosary will be said at 7 p.m. today in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with the Rev. Rex Nicholl officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mr. Tenorio was born May 8, 1942, in Amarillo to L.M. and Livrada "Livi" Tenorio. He graduated from Amarillo High in 1961 and married his high school sweetheart and best friend, Ruth Ann Rivers, on June 9, 1961. He graduated from UTEP in 1967. Val was a quarterback of the great Amarillo Sandies under Bum Phillips and went on to play football for Bum at Texarkana Junior College and then to University of Texas El Paso. As in everything he attempted, Val was a star. He still holds the longest completed pass ever thrown for UTEP in a game against WTSU. He excelled in flag football, softball, golf and loved to fish. Val was semi-retired from his security company, and had previously been with the sheriff's department as well as Basden Bail Bonds. He served on the Muscular Dystrophy Board, coached at the Maverick Club and coached an American Legion baseball team. He was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother and uncle. His granddaughters, Chelsey and Kennedi, had a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Valerie Tenorio in 1962; and his father. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Todd Tenorio of Amarillo and Paul Bustamante of Lewisville; a daughter, Lori Dunavin and husband, Don, of Amarillo; four grandchildren, Chelsey and Kennedi Catano of Amarillo, and Matthew and Madison Bustamante of Lewisville; his mother of Amarillo; two sisters, Juanita Ornelas and husband, Ish, and Geneva Tenorio, all of Lakewood, Colo.; and nine nephews and seven nieces, all of whom were very dear and close to him. Mrs. Adams was born Dec. 21, 1939, to Violet Thelma Long and Percy Emil Bull in Amarillo. She was reared and educated in Amarillo and attended Amarillo High School. She married Bobby Joe Adams in Amarillo in 1971. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, she worked at Travelodge. LaVera was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband in January 1987; a son, Keith Monroe Allison in May 1986; and her parents. Survivors include a daughter, Robyn Aguirre and her fiance, Emmett Henneck, of Amarillo; a son, Alfred Lee Allison of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Chris Allison, T.J. She was preceded in death by her husband; and eight siblings. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amy Wooddell; a brother, Thomas Eugene Johnson; a sister, Mary Ann Johnson Parmalee; and her father, T.E., who was the former editor of the Amarillo Daily News, and was also responsible for bringing former President Lyndon B. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Vondel L. Smith and Sons Mortuary Chapel North. Burial will be in Yukon Cemetery. Mr. Grantham died from complications relating to Parkinson's Disease and congestive heart failure. He was born July 10, 1924, in Arkansas City, Kan. After graduating high school in Phillips, Texas, he returned to Arkansas City to attend junior college before enlisting in the Army Air Corps in World War II. He married Lillian Rose (Simmons) on April 2, 1948, in Dumas, Texas. The majority of his life was spent in the Texas Panhandle region before transferring from Liberal, Kan., to Brighton, Colo., with Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line Co. in 1973. He retired from PEPL after 43 years of service. Bobby was past president of Lions Club in Brighton, an active leader in Boy Scouts of America with troop No. 182 in Liberal and was a member in good standing in the Masonic AM&FM Lodge and Order of Eastern Star in Brighton, and KCCH in Wichita, Kan. He also served as past master and past worthy patron. Many hours were spent with the Order of DeMolay and Order of Rainbow for Girls in Liberal, serving with his children and others. He was a member of Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 52 years. He was raised and went to school in Chattanooga, Okla. C.B. married Mozelle Walker on Nov. 6, 1943, in Altus, Okla. C.B. was a farmer and custom combiner for more than 60 years and loved it with a passion. He retired and moved to Canyon in 1977 to be closer to his daughter. He was preceded in death by his wife in November 1976; his parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
